I’m 5’6”, 130 pounds, normally wear small but this one will be a medium. I like the Amazon basic shirts better, they’re much softer compare to Hanes.

Order up a size
Whatever happened to the Hanes ‘beefy’ thick quality shirts? I thought this would be thicker, but alas it’s not. Amazon said I should have taken a size XL, but I ignored the advice as I have other Hanes shirts that are size L and they fit fine. The arms on this are designed for people who are stick-thin. This L fits more like a small-medium. Good thing it was cheap. Disappointed.

I’m a medium, sometimes small. The sleeves on this thing felt like a xs, they’re so tight! But the rest of the shirt fits nice and loosely like a true medium, so it’s a bit odd. I’d recommend ordering a size up if you’re between sizes. Not going to send it back, hoping the sleeves will stretch.

Soft!
Everything’s awesome EXCEPT size. I got a 2x it should’ve been a loose fit. I could barely get my arms in the sleeves. I mean I got it on and it did stretch a bit. It is soft and the price was amazing. Too amazing to pass on.

Great for layering
I was traveling from a cold climate to a warm one and didn’t want to bring a jacket. I bought this shirt to wear under a blouse to and from the airport. It was perfect. I have since used it under a sweater on very cold days and it makes such a difference. Because of the other reviews I purposely bought one 2 sizes too big and pre washed it in warm water (instructions say to use cold). The first wash it shrunk one full size, the second just a bit more. It now fits perfectly. No tightness anywhere and the sleeves come to my wrist. The body length shrunk most but I still have a good 3-4 inches I can tuck into a skirt or pants. It is very thin and lightweight so it doesn’t feel bulky at all but still adds warmth. It is much too thin to wear alone but is so soft which is very important for my extremely sensitive skin. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Since it’s basically a very comfortable long sleeve undershirt I think $6-8 a piece would be reasonable. At that price I would buy several more! I had bought some thicker pre-washed cotton long sleeve Ts at a local arts and crafts store for $5 each. They do the same job but this one is so much more comfortable.

Size up
I toke the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up. I usually wear a medium but ordered a large. I washed it before I wore it as it was a little “stiff”. It may have shrunk a little, but it is definitely small for a large. I like the cotton because it is not flingy.

Arms are tight
I needed a long sleeve white top as I’d misplaced mine. I bought this one quickly. I would have returned, but I needed it right then. The arms are very tight. While I’m not as toned as I’d like to be, I’m not over weight. It’s not uncomfortable, but wouldn’t describe as comfortable either.

Too tight in the arms
I liked the color and style of the long sleeved t-shirt but the sleeves were too tight on my arms. I can’t wear it. I even sized up from my usual medium to a large based on reviews, but even this didn’t help. Sorry..

Love these soft cotton shirts!
I love the lightweight, soft cotton feel of the shirt. The purple color (‘violet splendor’) is beautiful and just what I wanted. I’ve had 6 long sleeved Hane’s shirts for years and hope this lasts as well as the old ones. I like the narrow sleeves because I tend to push up my sleeves and this helps them stay up.The size S ‘violet splendor’ shirt fit nicely, just like my old ones.PROBLEMS: The size S ‘sizzling pink’ shirt was significantly smaller, and I had to return it. I got a size M which fit. BTW holding them up together the size M pink is the same size as the size S violet. Also, on the pink shirt the bottom hem was poorly sewn. The stitching missed the edge of the fabric, so it frays a bit. I kept it anyway because I love the color and feel.Because I do love these shirts I ordered 2 more!Size S “regalia blue” fits as expected. The color blue is much lighter than shown, but a nice slightly grayish blue.Size S “cactus” fits as expected. The color is a bit greener than shown, but about the same color value and quite nice.

I love the quality of the material. Not too thick and not too thin. I am petite, so usually a small is swimming on me- but this was pretty form fitting. The shoulders were narrow. I would size up!

Sleeves are tight
Overall, the shirt is okay. Length and width are fine, but the sleeves are snug. The material isn’t very soft, so it is uncomfortable when I bend my arms. I do not anticipate buying additional colors.

I like the price
I bought a medium after looking at their size chart, however, it was too snug so I got a large and it fits just fine. I like it because it’s thin I don’t like heavy clothing. In fact, I liked it so much. I ordered another one because eventually this one will wear out or fade at some point in time. I would recommend it

So Disappointing
I bought these (3) shirts as undergarments to be worn in winter as the foundational layer for warmth. I am a petite thing, usually wearing a size 6 or 8, and these shirts were so tight as to be uncomfortable. The forearm especially is much too tight. I like a little give to my clothes, and being all cotton, I thought they would be fine if I ordered the small size. If they are worn a couple of times between washings, they tend to stretch out a bit better, but once they get washed, you start all over with trying to make it feel comfortable. So disappointed in this produce, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Runs small and shrinks
The shirt is fine for being one of the only 100% cotton white long sleeve women’s undershirts on Amazon. Despite reviews saying it runs true to size, I sized up in case it shrank, which it did. Before it shrank, the sleeves were still abnormally skinny for a size large shirt. I usually wear a medium and feel like I’m busting out of these size large sleeves, especially at the forearms. If you want to be comfortable while you wear this at work, size up maybe two sizes! Returns are too much of a hassle but I might not be able to wear these shirts after 3 washes/shrinks.

great shirts…but runs a little small
I love the all cotton shirts – I bought these for yard work. I usually wear a M in shirts, but bought these in L to make sure they were roomy enough, they fit like a M though. Colors are great, would suggest sizing up a size or two. I will buy more but will go for XL to make sure they are a little roomier! Have a Hanes t-shirts I’ve had for many, many years…….these are def thinner material, but great for FL hot weather, whether casually or for yard work! We’ll see if they retain their size after washing. Always on gentle w/low heat in dryer.

true to size
I bought a size up following the advise given by other reviewers that it runs small. Perhaps, that is an issue with larger sizes. I bought a medium instead of a small size. It’s a real medium and on me it fits loose. I am keeping it hoping it will shrink .

Shrinkage!
I guess the saying is true, you get what you pay for, this shirt was $16.00 on sell for $12.00, this shirt shrunk without even drying it, just from air drying and i went up one size larger ,so if you’re going to purchase it ,make sure you get two size’s larger, for shrinkage.

Great price but beware shrinks significantly after the dyer.
I purchased 3 Hanes long sleeve shirts. The shirts shrunk after the dryer. The body of the shirt shrinks one size but the sleeves shrink significantly. I purchased medium and after washing and drying, I have 3 junior sizes. The sleeves shrunk and wear like compression garments.Great price but do not toss in the dryer, wear wrinkled.

Tight fit
I ordered a Large so it would have a roomy fit. It’s tight, especially in the sleeves. Shirt is short and fabric is thinner than previous Hanes shirts I’ve had. I’m giving it 3 stars because I will wear it, just not what I expected.

Color is way off; order larger size; lack of uniformity in same size
I ordered 2 of these T-shirts, one in the Sizzling Pink color and the other in a blue that is called Deep Dive. In both cases, the colors were MUCH different than they appeared on my computer screen. The pink looked like a muted rose color on my computer, but ended up more like its name — a really bright, hot pink. The Deep Dive blue ended up being a vivid dark turquoise. I usually wear a medium, but ordered a large because other reviews said that these 100% cotton shirts would shrink quite a bit, and I don’t like shirts that are too tight around my hips. When I first tried these t-shirts on, both were too large, and the sleeves were too long, so I washed them both in hot water and dried them in the dryer on high heat (instructions said to use cold water and low dryer heat). The turquoise shirt shrank to the perfect size including sleeve length. However, the bright pink shirt was still 2 or 3 inches too long in the sleeve, and I noticed that the neck was cut differently than on the turquoise shirt — the turquoise one had a crew neck, and the pink one was lower, more of a scoop neck. Strange, because these two shirts were supposed to be identical except for color. I am keeping the turquoise shirt and returning the bright pink one.

Bad seams
This shirt is adorable! It fits comfortably and is nice and casual, though not really as long as I would like. The biggest issue I had was that it arrived with a seam undone at the wrist. I sewed it up and will continue to wear it, but still. Worth noting.
