not bad!
I’m not convinced by the vent claw. I think back hook plus tensioner means no problems later. This one is more of a tight rubbery grip plus a prayer. The magnet is OK, nothing special. The cord could be a bit short for a concealed installation if your nearest socket is in the armrest, like mine. Other than that it’s compact and clean, and time will tell how durable. Just wish they had a black version, like most car interiors, I guess, so it doesn’t stick out as much.

Was great for iPhone 12 but not anymore…
I used to have an iPhone 12 and I would take this mount from car to car. I loved the convenience of it and easy to just clip on the vent. However, I just upgraded to a iPhone 15 Max Pro and the phone is too heavy for the magnet. I’m sad to part ways with the mount but I hope to find one just as great as this one.

Can’t use a phone case with these.
This is a lot more stable than the traditional car mounts that do not use magsafe. Unfortunately although I used what is labelled as a magsafe phone case, it was not compatible with this mount. So when I want to mount my phone, I have to take off the phone case and then secure it onto the mount. When the phone is placed on, it is stable and stays put.

Still not perfect but it’s the best there is
It’s mostly study and you can feel the quality. However, the mag safe part is not super strong, if I drive through a bump, sometimes my phone falls off. I couldn’t find anything else better than this, so this is a pretty good phone mount.

Great!
The product is great. I expected nothing less from it. It charges my phone and holds in place nicely. I don’t have to worry plugging it. Just putting it there and no messy cables thanks to the strap that comes with it! The only issue that I have is that my vents are very close to the steering wheel so a bit of the phone is covered, but that’s the car’s fault, not the product.

Works great as long as the heat is not being used.
Products works well and as advertised as long as you do not use the heat out of the vent being used. The rubber becomes soft and the holder falls off. I was going to returned it but decided to just not use the heat out this particular vent. This small detail kempt it from being a 5 star product

great for delivery drivers
I love that I can pick this up and switch it between cars (travel). Its subtle, the magnets fantastic and it fastens flawlessly.The only thing I would say is to be careful of what type of air vents you are attaching it to, so that you don’t unintentionally cease their ability to function.Also, if your using your air vents for heat, its still possible to overheat your phone and thats not good at all, particularly when youre using it as a source of navigation.

Holds tight off-roading in my F350
First, some background on what I drive, where I drive, and how I drive: I effectively drive the equivalent of an ox-cart on the Oregon Trail. More specifically, I drive a Ford F-350 Super Duty, and I drive on rough dirt roads all over Colorado. I have the snow plow/camper package, which makes the springs in the front more stiff. I keep my tires, front and back, inflated to the recommended PSI from Ford, which is suitable for hauling the max payload of 3,500 lbs. So, when I have a bunch of weight on the truck, like my truck camper, that I don’t have anymore, the ride is nice and smooth. But when I don’t, which is most of the time, it bounces around like an ox-cart. My dental bill costs more than my truck. Thanks, Ford! Many of the roads that I drive on scare your average Jeep Wrangle owner. I use my locking rear diff. Yesterday, my trailer hitch served better as a boat anchor in a mud crossing than a trailer hitch. I push the truck’s limits on these dirt roads and I drive fast. Sometimes my water bottles fly out of the drink holders. I have hit the front bump stops, on the heavy service front springs, on at least a dozen occasions. My legs have been bruised from bouncing off of the door and the center console for hours at a time. When I hit washboarded road, I step on the gas. If I brought a bottle of cream with me, it would turn to butter. Now, you think I might be joking about all the things listed above, but I am not. This is what I drive, and this is how I drive. I am literally the worst case scenario for a vent mounted magnetic phone holder.Now that you know some background, I can write my review: This vent mounted magnetic iPhone charger is the best one out there. It holds onto my phone, and it hold onto my vent, better than any other vent mount phone holder I have used in the past 20 years. In fact, much to my surprise, my phone has never fallen off of the mount, and the mount has never fallen off of the vent. Completely worth the high price. I have an iPhone 14 Pro with the Apple leather case.

Simple, fairly effective, overpriced
Note that this thing is only a holder. It has no charging capabilities of its own, so for that you’d need to plug a cable directly into the phone itself. Belkin does offer other models with built-in MagSafe charging. I’m using this model to mount an iPhone 13 Mini on the passenger side of the center dashboard vents in a 2016 Volvo XC60. If I had a Belkin model with MagSafe charging, I’d still need a separate USB cable any time I wanted a wired data connection.The holder is simple to install, just push it all the way into a vent. You may need to fiddle a bit to make sure the weight of the phone does not pull the vent down from your desired viewing position. Make sure the holder is all the way in.The “integrated cable management” slot on the back is too narrow or stiff to easily accommodate my USB-to-lightning cable. My cable looks like the kind Apple provides with new iPhones (that is, the kind with a white rubbery jacket, not a soft braided jacket). A thinner cable, or one with a different kind of insulation jacket, should work fine.The plastic holder doesn’t seem sturdy enough to survive being dropped on a hard surface (not that I’ve tried). I suppose it’s sturdy enough for the intended purpose. So far, it has held the phone just fine for a couple drives. It easily swivels between portrait and landscape positions.Summing up: it’s a handy device. I’m glad to have it, although at the current full retail price ($39.99) IMO it is way overpriced for what it is.

After being tired of holding my phone in my lap while I drove, I looked for a solution in this phone holder.Pros:1. The price was great, better than comparable ones I’ve seen around.2. The MagSafe magnet is very strong, as you can see in my video once the phone attaches it is very secure.3. The actual clip that attaches to your AC vent is tough as they come, so tough you may have to put some strength into getting it off.4. I love that it easily rotates and it’s also aesthetically pleasing.Cons: None I’ve found.Final Thoughts: Ok so my own little rating system is the following: Buy, Wait for a sale, or Skip. This one is a BUY! I love the strength of the clip and for the price you can’t go wrong. I opened for just the mount at my car requires a cable connection so the one that charges wouldn’t be ideal. But this mount, you won’t go wrong!

Tried several kinds and this was my favorite!
I tried several of these mag ring magnet chargers and most of them had a ring/sticker I had to stick onto my phone or case and I did NOT want that. Some others I tried didn’t have any adhesive magnet to stick on but the magnet wasn’t strong enough to actually securely hold my phone with its case on. Either the magnet was too weak or the base of it wasn’t sturdy enough to secure it onto my car vent. I didn’t want to use one of the mounts that you have to use adhesive to stick it on your car either, so I specifically wanted one that went in your air vents.So I finally found this one and it’s great! Magnet is very strong and the base that goes into your air vent is very secure and sturdy.My only complaint is I wish it also charged my phone but… not a huge deal.

Doesn’t work on ALL car vents.
I was excited to buy this for my new iPhone pro max which is kinda on the heavy side and the magnetic section works great. My issue is that my car vent slopes down too far to keep the phone upright. I think this would work well on an air vent that is oriented vertically. I still have this and use it in my boyfriend’s car when we take road trips and no issues with those vents.

Good MagSafe charger
After using this charger for a few months in both cooler and warmer weather, here’s what I’ve found:On cooler days (around 40F outside, 70F in the car) or on warmer days with the AC on, the charger works as expected. As shown in the top photo, the charging speed is similar to that of a regular MagSafe charger, and it charges faster when the battery is low and slows down as the battery level increases.However, as the bottom photo shows, on warmer days (around 80F) from 3-4PM, the charger failed to charge the phone or even maintain the battery level, as many reviewers observed. With the AC on around 5-6PM, it did charge the phone but at a slower rate. When it’s cooler, from 9-10PM at night, the charging speed is comparable to a regular MagSafe charger.In addition to temperature, app usage also affects the charging. The device is more likely to charge the phone when using Apple Maps for navigation than when using Google Maps or Waze, which drain the battery more quickly.This charger may be difficult to justify at a cost of $100, especially considering that it fails to charge in certain circumstances. However, as the only Apple-certified MagSafe car charger, it offers better temperature control and safety mechanisms, providing peace of mind for frequent travelers who rely on their devices while on the road. Faulty chargers do cause fires. Btw check Belkin’s own website, they offer coupons from time to time.

The best iPhone car mount you can get.
It’s expensive but it’s the only MagSafe certified car mount you can get. It’s very high quality and does not come off once it’s been attached to a vent. I used it for a road trip to get from Alaska to the East coast in 12 days. In that time we subjected it to some pretty extreme potholes and gravel roads in the Canadian wilderness. My phone definitely fell off a couple times even when I took off my case to give it better contact with the magnet, but that was from some massive potholes and stuff on the Alcan.It’s great for 99% of use cases just don’t expect it to keep your phone on there when you hit massive bumps.

Attached cord
It’s a nice product for the most part. Magnet holds well and stays attached to vent. Only problem I had was that instead of the cord detaching from the charger it detaches from the cigarette lighter plug which leaves a cord always dangling.

All around good product.
Its easy to install set it and forget it.. The only thing is my vents are horizontal and sometimes it pushes down on the vent, keep in mind I have the IPhone 14 pro max with a rebel case which makes it on the heavier side but with some finessing and some adjustments I came with a solution that fixed the problem..On a more positive note the magnet is very strong and my phone has never fallen off The mount is more likely to fly off the vent, don’t worry this is very unlikely to happen unless you jump off a cliff or something.. and your phone will probably still be attached to the mount..

It’s OK
The magnet isn’t very strong – I have to take my iPhone 12 Mini out of its thin silicone protective case to get the phone to stay on the mount. Otherwise, it works OK. The vents in my Tacoma are too close to the steering wheel for complete comfort (1/2″ clearance from the turn signal and cruise control wands), but that’s not Belkin’s fault.

Apple standard mount , easy to mount but inferior compared to traditional mounts.
I decided to try the MagSafe Belkin case on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, even though I usually use the traditional mount without MagSafe. While the MagSafe case adds a sleek and stylish look to the car vent, it falls short in terms of providing reliable functionality as a car mount. It holds the phone securely, but it lacks the strength of traditional mounts that come with an additional lever to ensure a tight grip on the vent.At times, the Belkin MagSafe mount works fine, but other times it fails to keep the phone in place, requiring constant adjustments. After removing the phone and reattaching it, the mount tends to come off along with the phone, which can be frustrating. This results in the convenience of MagSafe being lost due to the need for frequent readjustments.The breaking point for me was when I attempted to put the phone on the mount, and it fell off because it wasn’t properly aligned with the magnet. Aligning the phone precisely or confirming alignment before letting go of the phone proved to be a cumbersome task. I had expected the magnet to be strong enough to automatically pull the phone into the correct position, but that was not the case.In light of these issues, I decided to return the MagSafe mount. If you’re comfortable with making these constant adjustments and prioritize an Apple-standard appearance, it may be a suitable choice. However, if functionality is your primary concern, there are far more reliable traditional mounts available in the market.

It works as advertised
This does precisely what it claims to do and holds the phone quite securely.I’ve had this installed in my car for a few days and have taken it out on a few trips. Not once has my phone even shifted. There’s a better chance your vent this is attached to will break before your phone falls off.Make sure your case (if you use one) has a legitimate MagSafe certification as you’ll want to have a strong magnetic connection to this thing. You’ll want to look for “Made for MagSafe” instead of “MagSafe compatible” as the former requires that product meet Apple’s standards. This could be why some people are leaving reviews with complaints that their phones are falling off. In my experience, the magnetic connection is quite strong.

CHARGES FAST – Needs more mounting options
The Pro charger is the fastest car MagSafe charger I’ve seen to date. However, due to the vent-only mount, I had to fabricate an aluminum mount for it, so it didn’t cover my air vent.In all, it is a great product. Phone gets hot when charging but you can change the settings on your iPhone to accommodate for the extra juice the charger puts out. I didn’t do that because I like fastest charging.Minus one star for its lack of mounting options.

Good but could be better
I really wanted to love this, it looks great and it was just a bit difficult to get in place. I’ve had it for a while and it’s fairly good it does slip occasionally and the phone sometimes comes loose. I think this is an ok idea but could be designed better

Fits a Mini Cooper !
Went years without being able to find a way to have hands free capability in my Mini before finding this! Only downside is it’s basically just a 30$ magnet. But it’s strong and holds my iPhone 13 up with the case on it

Great Mount… I love it, just wish it was a little stronger
Overall, the I love my belkin mount. Its great and easy to install as a magsafe car mount. I just wish the magnets were a tad bit stronger as it will occasionally bounce a phone loose. Otherwise, it works great and is super easy to find a way to mount your phone quicly.

This MagSafe charger for my car works great! It clamps onto the vent perfectly, and stays secure. My iPhone 12 Pro MagSafe connects magnetically to the charger and stays securely in place while I am driving down bumpy roads. So far it is working better than expected! Highly recommend this charger for your car.

Vertical Vents
I have vertical vents in my vehicle and read through many reviews before buying this one. At first I didn’t think I was going to be able to make this work with my vents, but I turned the attachment piece and it worked just fine. I will say the magnet is very strong! However, there have been multiple times (while driving) where the mount starts to slip and then completely detaches from the vent resulting in both the weight of the phone and the mount to fall on my foot. And we all know how it goes when you’ve dropped something on your foot/toes. Other than that, I love it. Just make sure you’re checking every so often and pushing it back into place to avoid injuring your little piggies!

Be wary of vents
I bought this phone holder because I drive a lot for work. It’s not a huge eye sore which I like. The magnet is great, I think it’s only fallen off once. Can be a bit tricky to take off, but you get the hang of it after some time. Only giving it a 4 star because my vents move (so the holder moves) I had to keep my vent blowing in one direction for it to work. Can be a bit annoying.

I do not have a case on my iPhone and it continues to not stay magnetized with the phone and the mount pro.I do have the latest iPhone with the charging ability to use with this mount. Very frustrating.

Good Magsafe Mount
Ordered this for my 2017 Honda Accord after going on a road trip with no mount and my charger kept disconnecting. This mount is nice and sturdy, installs well, and keeps magsafe iphones securely in place. I did hit a speed bump a little too fast and the phone came off the mount, so your milage may vary depending on how you drive. Also, I do not notice any deterioration after leaving this in the hot California sun either, which is a problem I’ve had with previous mounts. Time will tell how this mount will wear, but I am satisfied for now.

very good condition
i bought this like new from a previous owner and it was exactly that. nothing wrong with it. the sturdiness could be better if i hit a bump too hard it will fall. i do have an iphone 14 pro max so maybe my phone is too heavy. worth the money

Easy and Comfortable to use
The mount latches on to the ventilation duct easily and stays there. The phone sticks on with ease and doesn’t fall when the car is in motion. The price is very competitive as well. I am glad to have picked this item.

Great mount for my iPhone 12 Pro Max
I’ve been using a magnetic mount since 2013 with my iPhone 4S, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 7 Plus with slim Spigen cases and metal plates. Unfortunately, when I got my iPhone 12 Pro Max, I had to keep the metal plate down near the bottom of the phone to avoid interfering with the MagSafe connections for wireless charging, and the increased weight of the phone was just too much to keep the phone safely attached to my magnetic mount.I, like most people, was initially turned off by the price of this Belkin mount, especially since it did not include charging, but I decided to give it a shot. Without a case, my iPhone 12 Pro Max attaches to the MagSafe magnets in the mount VERY solidly. I went with the Spigen Mag Armor case and it works great with this mount. It took a little experimenting with the positioning of the clips on my air vent so I could still adjust the left/right angle of airflow, but I’ve got it where I like it and the higher position that my old CD slot magnetic mount means it’s easier to keep my eyes on the road.Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth the price for me to have a solid, well-engineered mount for my big heavy phone in the car? Yes.Updated 07/07/2021: I went on my first long road trip with this mount and it was rock solid. It stays securely attached to my vent and my phone never fell off, even over bumps (granted, I wasn’t off-roading or anything). I am really pleased with the new setup.

Bulky but fantastic magnet
Very bulky but a very strong magnet. It doesn’t allow my phone to fall off but it is very big and it doesn’t fit great on the vents of a MINI

My favorite!
I didn’t know how much I needed this until I got it. I was so tired of using the old clip phone holders in the phone. This one was soSimple to set up and my phone connects to it flawlessly. This is my favorite thing and I will definitely be getting another one! High you recommend for the price!

I am personally keeping this, but I would not recommend to anyone
So the reasons for keeping the Belkin charger in my car aren the aesthetics and the 15w charging. other than that the charger would be replaced and here’s why. the Belkin mount as many others uses only a claiming style that just pushes onto the vent fins – this is horribly unsure and the mount does not stay put for long before I either is pulled right off when removing the phone, or falls off while driving, etc. this method for mounting really is inexcusable for something meant to keep your delicate items safe and secure especially if the only connection between the two is magnetic. I recently downsized to the 14 pro instead of the Pro Max and I will say that I would even attempt to hang the Pro Max on this mount if I still had it, not because I think the magnetic connection is too weak – I do think it should be stronger, but the concern I would have is that the weight of the phone and the charger combined is really no match for gravity when mounting mechanism is just a push-on with no mechanism to lock the mount onto the vent. For the premium price paid on this one I would expect more, and I would also return if not for the 15w charging support.

Overpriced, slow charging.

I have the Belkin MagSafe iPhone and Apple Charger Quick Charge stand and it works fantastic. I also had the non-charging Belkin MagSafe car mount and it worked great as well. So I had hoped for the same experience for this MagSafe car charging mount by Belkin but it does not hold up. It charges much, much slower than using a cord and my Anker car charger. The bearing also isn’t as tight as the older Belkin mount so the phone tends to droop. I may return for another one to see if this was just a defective model but so far I’m very unimpressed.

Best Phone Holder
This is one of the best phone holders on the market I have ever purchased. It stays perfectly in place and fits very tight over my vents. It holds my phone very well. It is hard to get on every now and again- but that’s what makes it so sturdy. The only downside to this is that it blocks a decent chunk of one of my vents off but i’d rather sacrifice a little bit of airflow for a solid phone holder.
