If it is Melissa and Doug it’s going to be good
My niece is 9 and she has had a Melissa and Doug doctor kit since she was little. She uses the kit for her “Puppy Dear.”Grandma bought this for her and her little mind is blown. Then she realized there were 2 stuffed animals and all of the fancy tools in the box and this was one of her favorite gifts from Grandma. Excellent toy, excellent quality, I highly recommend.

Super cute product but the included bag is too small and has no way to close. No Velcro or zipper, etc. The item itself though is fun, with cute names on the bottles! My daughter loves it!

Wonderful gift for three-year-old

Serves its purpose
I did not buy this for any children in my life. I bought this for a rescue dog that I recently adopted that is terrified of everything. In an effort to make his vet visits less traumatic, I thought getting him used to the same equipment in a comfortable environment (home) would help. I’ve mostly used the stethoscope and needle. It’s worked really well. He is a lot more comfortable with the stethoscope. The needle, which is huge for tiny hands, works well to gently place in his ear similar to the vet looking in his ears. I’m excited to take him to the vet again to see how well it works. Once I feel I don’t need this anymore, I’ll donate it.

Let Their Imaginations Shine
This is a great gift to give the little ones to watch their imaginations grow. This vet kit is super cute and sturdy. It comes with a “doctor bag” so the “vet” can store all of their supplies in it. It also has 2 small stuffed animals for the vet to practice on! It’s a very practical gift for all children.

Better than the doctor set
We got this after already getting the Melissa and Doug doctor set, and upon looking at the box, I thought we’d made a mistake. At first glance, it looked like a lot of the pieces would be duplicates leading to boredom. I think there’s 6 exact duplicates, plus a few more that are very similar. But my daughter loved the two plush animals that came with it and really enjoyed playing with the cast and cone.If I could do it again, I would definitely buy this kit instead of the doctor set next time. But having already had the doctor set, I’m still glad to add this on top of it as it’s provided a lot of additional enjoyment despite the duplicates.

Bought this pretend vet kit for my 4 and 1 year old for Christmas. This kit includes several different instruments. I especially like that it include two animals so it makes it easier for sharing. My only complaint is the vet bag does not close with a snap or zipper, making the instruments hard to keep from falling out.

Well Loved Toy!
I have a set for my preschool class and also just bought one for my nephew (who is 2)! The lotion/cream tube is always the favorite piece! It holds up pretty well and the screw tops are good for developing fine motor skills. A lot of pieces can be used for vet or doctor play so it has some versatility.

Melissa and Doug products are usually pretty well made but this isn’t. It’s all plastic and a canvas bag. I would like it to have been better quality for the price. Like a well made case to carry the medical equipment.

Great for dramatic play-also a gender neutral item
Great gender neutral open ended toy! I liked the doctor kit a *little* better (hence the 4 stars on this one) but for kids who are super into animals this will be a hit. Bonus- it includes animals to “treat” (I always have to be the patient when my kid wants to use the doctor kit). We did end up combining this with the doctor kit for space purposes but it’s pretty clear which items go with which kit. I’m such a fan of open ended dramatic play items that allow for kids to use their creativity and imagination!

Everything you need for your little inspiring vet
Overall I’m happy with this purchase. It has already provided hours of pretend fun. I only took off a star because I wish the bag to put all the supplies in was bigger. It can barely fit all the little tools. I also wish it had either a zipper close or Velcro all along the top so things can’t fall out.

Great toy- the bag stinks though
My 3 year old loves this toy. It was a bigger hit than her more expensive toys on Christmas. The bag doesn’t fit all the pieces and doesn’t close so I’ll still shopping for an alternative which is disappointing. There are vet pieces all over the house.

So Nice, I Bought it Twice!
I bought this for my little boy as a gift. He loves role playing and pets. It was a perfect fit! He loves pretending to treat all of stuffed animals (and even his Mom). This set is much higher quality than the other brand medical kits. The pieces have all held up over time. I liked it so much that I ended up buying another set to give to my niece as a gift.

Needs one change
Gave this as a 3rd birthday gift to my daughter. She loves it, only thing I would change is the “Dr’s bag”. It’s a flimsy fabric bag that barely holds everything and doesn’t close. Oh, and she didn’t care about the stuffed animals that came with it. She ran around giving all her other stuff shots and bandaids including her dad and I.

Lots of pieces
This vet kit has a lot of great parts. The thermometer twists to show various “temperatures”, the shot has springs so it feels like you can vaccinate your pet stuffed animals, and the fabric band aids have Velcro that sticks easily to help you wrap up a paw. I particularly think the cone is cute, and the various bottles of vitamins and eye drops are great. Melissa and Doug delivers such a great quality product. I will say that the dog and vet this kit comes with are pretty basic and not great stuffed animals. We have so many already that I didn’t even keep the ones the kit came with.My kids (ages 7, 5, and 1 1/2) all play with this kit at various levels and with various stuffed animals.

Good but seems used
Toys come in good condition but look like they are used. We purchased the “new” items but doesn’t seem like that’s what you get. The toys we got came in the box but when opened they have dust on them and not packaged just thrown in the box.

Fun Toy
Always liked toys from Melissa and Doug. When granddaughter comes over, first thing she does is use the vet kit to check out the stuffed animals to make sure they are okay.
