Sharp knife set

Blue Knife Cover – Unstuck!
Great knives. Would have appreciated a list somewhere of which color went with which knife, but eventually figured it out with Google. I also had problems with the blue knife stuck in its sheath. How to release: hold the knife FIRMLY by the HANDLE in your dominant hand. Turn the cutting edge AWAY from you, facing the counter or other solid flat surface (like a table). Holding the knife by the handle, perpendicular to the floor (parallel with your body), point aimed at the ceiling, rap the bottom of the BLADE COVER smartly straight downward against the counter so that all the force is directed at the half inch of the plastic cover that juts out from the handle. After that it seemed to move easily. I had tried heat, cold, and pulling with pliers. The problem seems to be that very bottom edge of the cover.

As good as Cuisinart
I have Cuisinart knives in the kitchen that get a serious workout. Needed knives for a camping trip so ordered these with the thought they would work halfway decently. Surprise!! I was able to chop and dice as easily as my home set. Sharp, balanced well and smooth motion. More expensive chef knives will be better but I think these work great for the average and above average kitchen.Planning to gift sets to family.

Great Assortment! Great Quality! Great Value!
Update: Since receiving these, I have been using three of the knives regularly. I am very happy at how well these work, how easily they clean up, and that each knife has its own blade guard. I just looked back at my invoice and am amazed at what a value they are. Despite no one being here, I actually said out loud, “Wow! Those were really worth it!” I am changing my initial rating and giving these 5 stars now!I would give these a score close to 5 stars. The one feature I wish it had is a label on each knife or guard as to the type or knife it is. I’m just not familiar enough with the different types to know which to use for what.

Great knifes
Very very sharp, be careful my wife touched cutting edge to see how sharp and was cut easily. Knifes were able to skin pork skin off a slab of pork belly without any issues. Actually had to be careful because they easily cut through the pork skin like butter. After being done, still very sharp which anyone dealing with skinning pork knows knifes typical need sharpened several times through process, not these.

Pretty and functionable
They’re very sharp, so it’s nice to have the guards on them. The different color makes them easy to tell apart. This is my 2nd set. My first set lasted about 8 years but they didn’t sharpen quite as nice as in the beginning and the years of washing and wear the colors were coming off. But I liked them so much, I purchased them again!

Get what you pay for
A couple of mine have burrs at the tip that catch on my cutting board unexpectedly. There’s no small serrated knife, unfortunately, which I didn’t realize I would need until I bought this set and didn’t have one. Other than that, it’s a solid, inexpensive knife set that’ll do the job of most basic kitchen prep.

Could be great for RV, But handles are small
I bought these for the RV. I liked that each knife had its own cover because I have smaller hands rummaging into the drawers at times. The fun colors was just a bonus. I did have to return them however because the handles were too slim in my arthritic hands, and when they were wet, I felt they were slippery. Definitely pretty, love the covers, handles are slim and slippery.

Wow!
I’ve been slicing, peeling, dicing, etc with the same butchers knife for 32 yrs now and it was time to finally retire it for good. I searched and read a lot of reviews on many different knfe sets until I came across this oneI couldn’t imagine a knife set that only $13 could produce so many great reviews. Out of curiosity, and because I was tired of searching, I decided to order this one. Holy smokes, I didnt expect them to be so sharp!! Time will tell how they hold up but even if I get a year out of them, I’ll reorder again and have a brand new set every year and still be financially ahead.The only issue I had was getting the blue knife out of the sheath. I had to use a butter knife and pry it out. It still gets a bit stuck but not like it was when I first opened the box.Other than that, you can’t go wrong with this set! You won’t be sorry.WARNING- THEY ARE VERY SHARP

These Knives Work as Hard as You Do!

They work great color is wonderful
I bought these because I like the color and they came with protective guards. I’ve been using them all over the last few days. The handles are sturdy. They have a nice easy grip to them. The blades themselves are sharp. Do a wonderful job so far on cutting up fruits and vegetables, peeling and slicing. Cutting fat off large pieces of raw meat. . They’ve held up in the dishwasher. Clean easily when I just rinse them off in the sink before I do a load of dishes in the dishwasher. They’re amazing. I love them. Definitely a great buy add some excitement to your kitchen cooking and meal preparation. It’s great for the kids to help in the kitchen. They enjoy going for the red nice or the blue knife for the yellow knife. The kids think it’s great helping and that’s why I love the protective shields.

Great for the price
I would classify these as throw away eventually. You could sharpen them when they get dull, but they come sharp and better than most people who know mother about knives have in their homes. I bought these as a gift and they like em. I’ll keep my German steel knives at home, but these will make a welcome addition to anyone that has dull knives

Check each knife
I absolutely love the colors and the knives are very sharp. However, I recommend that you check each knife and pull it out of it’s sheath as soon as you get them. I have one knife (the blue one) that is stuck in its sheath and nothing I have one will extract it. In fact, I have cracked one end of the sheath trying to extract it. I am not going to return the other knives because of this one.

Sharp Inexpensive Knife Set
I love this knife set. I’ve had several similar sets, but for the price, this one can not be beaten. Amazon has knocked it out of the park with its own set. The knives are not heavy at all like some other knives. If you have arthritis or any issues with hand strength, these are a good knife. I love how sharp they are. I’ve had some knives not hold up well, but these stay sharp for some time. Haven’t had any issues with putting them in the dishwasher. Great knife for your next cooking experience.

Not the Best – OK for the Price
Edit: So after using a basic pull through sharpener, all my knives are in good working order. This wasn’t a big deal as all knives dull eventually anyway and you will need to sharpen them if you want the best performance possible. A dull knife is actually a dangerous one because you have to force your cuts.I should add however that I have purposed a few more of these for cheap gifts for students or people moving away from home for the first time. There is a QC control problem with the people that package the knives into the boxes at the factory because I have been shorted a knife on two of the orders. Amazon is amazing about making things right, but FYI. It’s problematic when the gifted person tells you their present wasn’t entirely complete.==================I like the cheerful colors but the knives themselves are fairly basic in quality and inconsistent in sharpness out of the box. I used the two main knives (chef and santoku) to chop carrots. The chef knife was pretty good. It was sharp and cut easily. The santoku was dull and I had to press hard to get the blade to cut through the carrots. It will need immediate sharpening though the directions recommend using a 3 stage pull through device instead of a whetstone. This is probably because of the paint.I don’t regret my purchase but I bet all the people saying the knives are sharp have only used one or two. I did also use the paring knife to cut some cold chicken and that too took more work than if I had used a knife with a better edge. I ordered a sharpening device and look forward to cutting better when it arrives.

light, vibrant, sharp!
so sharp i ended up cutting my finger at first trying them, ugh. but they’re definitely good haha!they’re sharp, easy to storage and easy to wash as well. would not recommend putting them in the dishwasher, as quality and colour can be ruined: i ruined a set of the exact same knifes in the past.
