    Improved my cooking experience

    This is very handy for scooping up cut vegetables while cooking – much easier than trying to balance them on a knife. If you use a Chinese cleaver, you probably already know how handy something like this is, but with this, you don’t need to worry about cutting yourself on a sharp edge.I also use it for smashing garlic cloves. I used to use the edge of my chef’s knife, but often the clove would go flying across the counter, and I always imagined the knife blade twisting and slicing my hand. With this, I have figured out a way to do it easily. Unfortunately, it would be too hard to explain, and I’m not up to making a video.

    Very sharp!

    Love this – always wanted one and finally did. I haven’t needed to use the measurement edge yet. Cut through pasta, bread and some cookies. I especially like it for scooping up chopped veggies. I don’t know why I waited so long to get one.

    Good value, and very useful for meal prep

    I’ve used this for ground meat, vegetables, and dough. It saves wear on your chef’s knife when moving chopped fruits/vegetables from cutting board to a bowl. It’s fairly non-stick, so it’s useful for working with dough when making bread or ground meat when making sausage or burgers. You’ll use it more than you might think.

    Handy Kitchen Tool

    I do the chopping of produce for our meals (because I am disabled) while my husband puts the meals together (nigh on impossible for me to stand in front of the stove and cook while negotiating balance on a walker). A few months ago, I learned that scraping chopped items with my knives to place into bowls actually dulls the knives. I’m constantly having to sharpen our knives, and I see chefs use these scrapers, so I ordered one. What a difference it makes! Instead of spending so much time chasing chopped vegies, chives, nuts, whatever, with multiple knife “gathers,” I pick up everything with one “scrape” and place into the waiting bowl. The only thing I wish I’d paid attention to when ordering this one—the handle is wood, I wish I had ordered an all-stainless one. But, this does the job beautifully, so, no worries.

    Pleasantly surprised!

    I’ve been cooking every day for about 30 years, and I had never used this gadget. Watching Chef Jean Pierre in youtube, he convinced me to get one. He spoke how important it is not to use your knife to drag things off the cutting board. Today I did a lot of cutting. And this scraper sure came in handy! Kept my board organized, and I realized I didn’t have to lift that heavy cutting board to dump veggies in the pot. I loaded them onto the scraper and put them in the pot that way. Very effective. A great helper to my Chef’s knife! It’s one of those things I didn’t know I needed.

I was expecting something useful, yes, but this is great to hold in your hand, it has a decently sharp edge, but not so much that it’ll be used for chopping.
