Really comfy, 2 x leg pockets, down slip down!
These are great! I’ll definitely be buying another pair. I’m usually around a 12 in bottoms and got these in L. They are a bit loose in the leg, although I prefer that, but fit perfectly around the middle. Worn them on 2 runs and they don’t fall down or ride up, at all! The pocket in each leg is great for carrying my music player, tissues, key, etc and they still the stay in place. Highly recommend.

Love the color, not a fan of the stitching
I love the color and fabric of these shorts. They are very breathable, high quality, and fit true to size. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the stitching on the sides and front. It would be a lot better if there wasn’t a seam going down the front giving me a camel-toe. I also didn’t like how many unnecessary seams on the sides. If it’s not flattering, why is it there? I’m 5’1, 112lbs, I got a x-small and it fit well.

Maybe a little big?
I have a small waist and comparatively large thighs so I go for the hip measurement. On these, the bottom of the legs is actually marginally loose and the waist is as well. I am a very not tall (5’1″) human though, so the long inseam could be part of the loose thighs. I think I could have sized down and been comfortable. Amazon recommends I buy a medium, which I did, but I do think they run a tad bit big.These shorts are soft and comfortable, and of course, the pockets are the best. As others have said, shiny material, but that means, in my experience, that they won’t catch on tunics or other tops.

Good quality, handy side pockets
This review is for Amazon Essentials Women’s Active Sculpt High Rise 7 Bike Shorts with Pockets, Size Large, Black, AEW30309F23 – BLACK. Tag says: main 74% polyester, 25% elastane; mesh 87% polyamide, 13% elastane; made in Sri Lanka. The garment appears to be made all of the same fabric and there is no visible mesh; there could be an inner layer of another fabric sandwiched inside the wide waistband and maybe this is what the mesh (polyamide) refers to. These are well made bike shorts with handy side pockets that will fit a phone or other items. They fit roomy true to size or run slightly large. There was no size chart given, so I ordered one size larger than usual to have extra room since many bike shorts run small or are compressive; in this case, one size larger was actually too large and the usual size would have fit fine. The color black is not a deep true black but is more of a soft black color.

Comfortable and fit well overall
I don’t provide height and weight in reviews because they’re meaningless (other than for length) unless you have the same body type as the reviewer. I’m an over-60 desk jockey, so clearly, I’m not built like a runner in their twenties at the same height and weight.I’m not a cyclist, which does affect the fit for me to a degree. I ordered a large, primarily for my belly (too many carbs and calories in general). For my overall size and weight, I have smaller-than-average thighs and larger-than-average calves. The smaller thighs mean these shorts don’t hug my thighs at the bottom. On the upside, it makes it more likely that those with larger-than-average thighs won’t have the shorts digging in at the bottom.The fabric is shinier than I normally like, so if you prefer matte fabrics, these might not be for you.

Compression shorts
I got these active sculpt shorts with 7″ inseam in Medium. They fit a 5’1″, 125 lb female, usual size 7/8. They feel like more of a 7 than an 8 but. I love that the shorts have pockets built deep into the front of the legs to maintain a smooth line up top, and they don’t cause the hips or waist to look bulky. They offer a lot of compression/support, and are best for athletic activities. I wouldn’t say they are for lounging or comfort, because the compression feels too tight after an couple hours. The fabric is breathable but not absorbent, and it’s the type of fabric that can cause skin chafing. The inseams are just right and the legs stay in place and don’t ride up or roll up too much. These are well-made shorts and might work for your needs.

Big but comfy
So bike shorts or legs seem easy to size but they’re not. I usually like a little looser feel but still supportive. These would have the support I want if I had gone down a size. The leg area is a little loose and I do not have small thighs. Butter soft feel and comfortable for all day wear. I really do like these I just need to size down.

True to size
I ordered these to see if they might change my mind on biker shorts as I haven’t liked them in the past. I would say they are true to size. I’m between a medium and large right now so I ordered the large. They were a bit loose around the waist but still would have worked fine. I decided I still don’t like biker shorts though and ultimately returned them. They just aren’t comfortable for me to wear.

Legs were a little large
I found that these bike shorts ran slightly too large, particularly in the bottom of the leg. They are still completely usable, however I do wonder if sizing down would have been a good idea. These biker shorts are well constructed, and the seams are flaw free. The pockets are perfectly sized for a phone.

Really sucks in tummy, but not tight
The fit of these is incredible and I own dozens of bike shorts for lounging and working out. These really suck in your tummy without feeling tight like a faja which is a plus. You can sit down and eat in this without feeling constricted. Wore these to walk the dog and do some cardio and they wick sweat very well too. I have larger thighs and was also pleasantly surprised that they did not ride up on me while walking or on the elliptical. Also these are not sheer, good for squats! I wore these purple shorts with red underwear and black underwear and did not see them through the shorts. I intend to buy these in other colors because the other off-brand bike shorts are cut smaller around the tummy which limits my ability to move or the material is not as breathable compared to these. Very excited about these shorts!

Functional / Good fit and design.
These are very good biker shorts, with good compression and the pockets are a great feature.However, I still prefer these from Amazon Basics: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FFM5R2F (Amazon Essentials Women’s Studio Sculpt Full Coverage Yoga Short) as I find they have a nicer appearance compared to these which have that cross stitching all over, but that’s up to you in terms of design, but the fit / compression is great especially when cycling (I wouldn’t recommend the pocket when cycling, too tight, might tear with keys, walking is fine.)

My favorite pair of bike shorts!
I have only had a few different pairs of bike shorts in my life as I always find them too tight for me and uncomfortable, but these ones work wonderful. They aren’t too tight and aren’t too loose. The pockets are also amazing! They hold my big phone which has a giant case on it with no problem. I am 5’4 and around 180lbs and got the x-large!

Side pockets is a plus
My wife says:I like bike shorts and I can’t have enough even though I purchased at least 5 of them this year. I prefer the ones with the side pockets and unfortunately, not too many styles have pockets but this one. It is true to size, have a nice sheen. I have been wearing these for almost a month and washed it several times, it keeps the shape and has a nice compression without being uncomfortable.

Comfy and convenient
I got these for hiking and I have to say, these bike shorts are really nice. They are made of stretchy material that isn’t too thick or thin and wears very comfortably on the skin. The deep pockets are also perfect for storing your phone and keys when you’re on the go. Great for working out or even casual wear.

They mean high rise!
These shorts are super comfy! They are thicker material and less breathable than I expected, and they really do mean “high rise!” The waistband comes nearly to my natural waist, four inches above my belly button. (I have a long torso). They do have a bit of firmness to the stretch and shape nicely. These feel very sturdy and I’m ALWAYS glad to have *pockets!*They held up in the wash just fine, and the material being on the thicker side gives me confidence that they will hold up for a long time. I don’t anticipate any pilling or binding of the fabric with wear, either. Overall I’m very pleased with these.

Looking for shorts with pockets?
Looking for shorts with pockets?Now that it is hot outside, my wife was looking for shorts with pockets. She liked these shorts from the start. The pocket easily fits her iPhone without any issues. Her entire phone fits completely inside the pocket without hanging out so she can exercise without fear of phone loss. The shorts fit as expected, true to size. I think she looks cute in them and she really likes them. Recommended!Pros:-Fit-Cute-Pockets!Cons:-None, but why are they called bike shorts? My bike shorts have padding in the back and these shorts do not.

My favorite bike shorts!
I have thick thighs and love wearing bike shorts during the summer because they prevent my thighs from chafing. These are awesome! The material is comfortable, they fit true to size, and THE POCKETS!! So handy. They’re a great price too, and they held up really well in the wash. Would absolutely recommend and buy again!

Nice Control
This pair of biking shorts fit as expected. I wear a small in most clothing and this small fits perfectly for biking shorts. They work well on my spin cycle. There are pockets on each side that easily fit a large iPhone. They have nice control in the stomach and waistline.These shorts have been washed and hung to dry, so no dryer.I quite honestly cannot think of a reason they shouldn’t be a five star rating, so I’m changing the four to five!

They have pockets!
I’m loving these shorts. They’re soft and smooth and really smooth out my body. I’m an 18/20 and the xxl fit great, not tight at all. They do not ride or roll down, they stay put and feel great. I really love the pockets. They are deep and fit my iPhone 11 with room to spare, so I don’t feel like it will fall out. There is one pocket on each leg, which I love. I’ll definitely be purchasing more of these!

Great summer shorts with pockets

Standard “bike”-style shorts
These were not as I had hoped. I was hoping for a little more stretch. These do have stretch, but the way the pieces are sewn together limit that stretch and you can hear the threads start to snap if you stretch it too far (for me, that’s getting the waistband over my hips). It also leaves for some interesting lines on your body, if you have a body shape that might allow for indentations to be made by tighter areas. They are thick and the material feels like good quality. I guess I was hoping more for a short like cut off yoga-style pants/leggings that would be more forgiving, but this was not that. I will still use these for going underneath forgiving dresses to help me feel a little more secure if I need to bend down to play with my children.

These spandex shorts are really great quality. For those looking to get a great quality biking short, without breaking the bank, I’d definitely recommend these shorts. This style isn’t really “me” but I do see a ton of people wearing these and I can definitely say that this particular pair feels great and is great quality.

I am 5’3”, 115LBS. I usually wear a size 4/27. These shorts in size Small fit me great – not too tight & not loose. I love that they have side pockets. They do not ride up, no camel toe, high waist & are comfortable. They are well made.I machine washed cold water & hung to dry – they came out perfect

I don’t like the seam up the front, but these do fit nicely and are comfortable. A good amount of compression. If you don’t want then so tight or are between sizes, I’d recommend ordering up a size.
