Unlike the power brick I don’t mind paying a bit more for the cable
It is a bit overpriced for what you’re getting, but between the quick disconnect safety and the charging speed, paired with length and durability of the woven cable, I dislike the Apple cost here less than I do on the separate power brick.Everything works great on it, sadly my included cable was stolen at the airport so the replacement was needed.

Only held up for not quite a month
I usually just plug my MacBook Pro in using a USB-C cable, but I decided to pick up a new MagSafe charging cable. The one that came with my laptop failed within about six months. I don’t bundle the cables up tightly at all, and I try to not put stress on the ends of the cables. Well, this one stopped working on day 20 after I received it. I was mildly annoyed so I decided to just exchange it. Wrong. This item has a 14 day return policy. I am pretty sure that this is worse than planned obsolescence, because less than a month for a $50 cable is kind of ridiculous. So I’m forced to pay another $50 for another cable and I will cross my fingers again that if it fails, it’ll be before day 14.

MagSafe 3 Cable for Macbook Pro
This cable sure does its job. It facilitates fast charging along with the 140W Adapter. The breakaway connection to the computer given by the MagSafe 3 adapter offers quite a bit of peace of mind should anyone accidentally yank the connection (no more worrying about the computer being yanked to the floor). Only real wish with this cable is that it would be slightly cheaper being.

Just pay the Apple Tax
Apple doesn’t license its Magsafe technology to other companies, just so it can rob you on stuff like this. That also means anybody other than Apple trying to sell you one of these is doing it illegally, meaning that they are probably cutting other corners too. And a power cable is not the best place to go cheap, particularly when connecting it to your very expensive Macbook.I move my laptop back and forth between two locations, and figured I could just use a USB-C cable to charge the laptop at one location and avoid the cost of a second Mag-safe cable. Well the laptop slipped one day and the very short fall ended up bending/breaking the USB cord. Unlike the mag-safe cable a USB-C cable won’t break away. I realized in that moment that I could have easily damaged the USB-C port or even the computer itself, because I wasn’t using a mag-safe connector.So here I am, paying the Apple tax, to get a second mag-safe wire. It probably has $5 worth of materials and the rest is profit for them, but so be it. So be bitter like me about the price of this thing, but pay it.

NOT like new: damaged and dirty
Ordered a “like new” cable that was not like new at all. Firstly, the entire cord was extremely dirty. I’m not even sure how a charging cord can get so filthy. It was disguising. Secondly (and more importantly), the USB-C was damaged and bent. Thankfully I didn’t need the cord right away. If you’re in a pinch and need a cord ASAP, I’d suggest saving yourself the potential trouble and just order a brand new one for not that much more money. I’m appalled a cord in this poor of shape would be shipped out claiming to be like new.

Nope, coming up on 6 months and it’s not working
This works when it wants to work. I can plug this in several times and no charge, then plug it in again for the 8th time and then it works. To make sure this was the issue I used the one that came with my Macbook M2 and it works the first time so I know its the plug and not the power nor the cord. Gotta get another one but going to buy it directly from the apple store and hopefully that will make some kind of difference. It’s too expensive to keep purchasing every six months,

Lifesaver . Well, that’s an exaggeration
When my original cord was accidentally damaged I need a speedy replacement. Two days later my new cord was Prime-d to rural Virginia. Yaaaaaay!

Works great
Works great for my 2021 Macbook Pro M1 Max. It’s very efficient, and I actually charge my Macbook off of an ipad charger when I don’t have my main power brick around. Same connector and works well. Slower, but I can work and it will still have a positive charge rate, charging faster than I can drain it with the small ipad charge brick

When the dog eats it for breakfast what choice do you have
I have yet to receive this cord but I’m glad they at least sell it only and not the block that is a 100Dollar proposition if you had to replace the whole thing. My yorkie at thru my original so I had to get the replacement cord. But why make it so cheap in the first place with nylon around the wiring. Make it with a think yet pliable rubber or plastic.

Sorry, you’re stuck paying Apple’s ridiculous lock-in fee
This is just a power cord! Okay, it’s a bit smarter than that because it has a light that displays a different colored light based on whether it is charging or not (which is pretty much all the time now, with Mac’s battery life management algorithm). But only Apple makes these (as far as I know) and they charge FIFTY F-ING DOLLARS for just this simple cord. Oh, it does have a nice cloth-like feel to it, so that’s nice. But still, why $50 Apple?!?

The price is ridiculous, but I suppose we have to expect that from Apple. It does the job, though, and I do like the fact that the new Macbook Pro models don’t require you to dedicate a thunderbolt port just for charging.

It works just like you want it to but it is a little on the expensive side. Possibly because it’s apple but also because it’s well made and durable. There are cheaper chargers out there, but I like knowing that this one will work exactly the way it’s supposed to.

Product is perfect.EXCECPT that original is much tooooo delicate.1, and I mean 1, puncture into the multitude of filaments that are involved in these cables renders them inoperative. Did I NOT just spend walletfulls of money just to open the laptop of my dreams?These become useless way too easily. Apple, you should be ashamed – we already pay enough for your product do you really need to jam us up just to replace a proprietary cord.?!

It’s Apple brand, so it’s top of the line (and more expensive).
This is the highest quality cable, which costs more than the cheaper third-party brands. I’ll stick with Apple cables to charge my Macbook to be safe, but I may use cheaper ones for drive and other connections.

It’s an Apple cable. It’s great but absurdly priced.
It is exactly what you’d expect from an Apple product. Perfect replacement or extra cable with all the Apple quality and packaging. That said, Apple thinks a lot of this cable and charges accordingly.

Never gets tangled
I use this because it frees up all three ports on my MacBook Pro M1. It also breaks away easily when pulled too far, instead of damaging the Mac. It uses some kind of woven material, and the wires are flexible, so unlike the cheap cables, this one never gets tangled up.

VERY strong magnet… doesn’t always release on lighter weight MacBooks
This does it’s intended job, but the magnet on it connects so strongly to the MacBook that if the cord is accidentally knocked, it can pull the whole MacBook off the table/couch, etc. It is supposed to release, but the new MacBooks are so much lighter in weight, that the magnet can overpower the weight unless the cord gets knocked in a particular direction. It releases easier being knocked up or down, but the most common direction one might get knocked is front to back (not that I go around knocking the cable, but it can happen Lol).

It’s a love/hate relationship
These cables are excellent and pricey. With Apple products you do not have any non-Apple choices for this cable. You must go with Apple onbthis one because it is Magsafe 3, and has special technology in the cable to work correctly with the 140w Apple chargers. It’s Apple, excellent product … we Apple users continue to have this. “Love” Apple, but “Hate” that we don’t have other options for commodity products like this.

Bought this because old one broke…
I bought this one because the usb c to magsafe charger that came in the box with my macbook pro became unresponsive. It would just flash orange repeatedly and not charge the computer at all no matter what. Tried getting Apple to replace it for me but they wouldn’t because it was out of warranty. The price of this product is insane. And I know I’m not the only one who has had issues with these cables just suddenly becoming defective. I don’t want to have to keep buying a new cable every other 6 months. I’m going again with the Apple brand one just because I’m not sure if the knockoff brands would be more prone to breaking. This product has questionable quality, unreasonably high price… we will see how this one holds up.

Not *completely* Bunny Proof
I purchased this as a replacement for my old cable because my rabbit decided to try to chew through the one I had before. On the up side – he couldn’t get all the way through, as the covering is very strong. On the down side – eventually it did begin to stop charging my laptop because of the bites.New one works great! Keeping it OFF of the ground, above bunny height 🙂 Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Really glad Apple went back to using the mag-safe ports
My old Macbook Pro had the magsafe plug and I always loved it. The past several models I’ve owned were all USB-C and, although, it worked, I definitely like the magsafe version better. I recently purchased the 2023 MacBook Pro and love that Apple brought back this cord. The cord itself is long, braided, and appears to be a quality design.

Wow it really is an Apple product
No knock off here. This is the real Apple MagSafe 3 in the original packaging. Works perfectly, exactly what I needed. Thank you dear Seller, I got it overnight and the paper packaging was placed out of the rain. I appreciate the less impact on our environment and that someone knew not to put where it’d get wet. Just the thing
Being a forgetful dummy, I somehow lost the factory cable and had to get a replacement. This turned out to be just the thing I needed. It works as well as the original. No problem so far and hopefully it won’t get misplaced or lost. 😂😂. This cable is silver color
It does not specifically say it here but this specific cable color is silver. If you have a Space Gray macbook pro you may be slightly annoyed to see that this is not the same color as the cable that came with your macbook. Overall, does what it needs to do but just keep in mind this is Silver. There are 4 colors total as of this writing and you can purchase different colors directly from Apple’s website.
