Aunt Martha’s White Flour Sack Dish Towels, Size 28-Inch by 28-Inch, 2 Per Pack
These flour sack towels are reminiscent of a time when flour was purchased in sacks weighing 50 or 100 lbs. When the flour sack was empty it would be laundered, bleached, cut and hemmed. They were commonly used as kitchen towels, cleaning and polishing cloths, diapers, underwear, sheets, and pillowcases.
Our flour sack towels are made from a durable 130 thread count, bright white cotton fabric. Features a 4-sided hem and corner hanger loop. These old-fashioned flour sack towels are perfect for both machine and hand embroidery, silkscreen, and painting.

Great for baking!
I bought these for holiday baking and they worked great. Soft and absorbent. I’m not sure how they will hold up over time, as I will only be using them once a year. I would purchase these again.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED!
I WAS TRYING TO AVOID THE STIFF TOWELS THAT ARE NOT ABSORBENT UNTIL YOU WASH THEM A 100 TIMES (MAYBE). THESE WERE GREAT! NICE AND SOFT. I USED ONE (WITH A HOT IRON) TO REMOVE SOME FOGGY MARKS ON MY WOOD DINING TABLE CAUSED BY CONTACT WITH MOISTURE. WORKED GREAT!! (SEE A YOUTUBE VIDEO TO FIND OUT HOW TO DO THAT!!) DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE DURABILITY BUT I’M SURE THEY’RE FINE

Best I have seen yet.
I have been buying flour sack dish towels for ages! Aunt Martha’s White Flour Sack Dish Towels are the finest I have seen yet. They are a bit thicker than all the rest which reminds me of linen. They fold well and after a wash they still keep their quality. I will be buying more from this seller.

Nice Cotton Towel for the Right Use
I really like these but these are Not thick nor absorbent. I’m using these to cover rising bread dough. Made of cotton, Lint doesn’t easily stick to these, so it is perfect for that. If you run out of other kitchen towels and need to use this to dry wet dishes, you can air dry the dishes and whisk away any remaining moisture, but these are not very useful for your primary dish-drying towels, IMO.These have a little loop on one corner which is helpful to hang on a hook or kitchen cabinet knob, but they are larger than a hand towel. Could be used as a tea towel as well.

Perfect to use with dough
These are light but very sturdy and hold up well to laundering. They’re great for covering rising dough and make a quick, clean surface for other food uses.

Made nice bows!
These are great dish towels, but I also dyed them with coffee, ripped them into strips and made them into cute bows for my craft projects like the one in the picture. Very absorbent for towel use, and a great value tool!

Good quality flour sack towels
I bought these because my current flour sack towels were turning to rags. These are a good quality and the right thickness (dries well and not too thin or too thick).

Will Order More for Embroidery
I bought these to embroider for Xmas gifts. The fabric is a bit thin but not see-through, I’m satisfied with the quality. The sewing on the hems and the loop for hanging was nicely done. I started working on the first one right away. So, I’m not sure if they fabric will shrink on the wash. I hope not. Only two “heads-up” regarding this item: 1) It says the color is “Classic White,” in reality it’s a very light beige. Only a slight difference if you put it next to a piece of regular white fabric. And 2) The fabric has a few small snags -pretty common with this material. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase and will likely order a few more.

Sturdy product
Kitchen towels. Great for throwing over the rising bread dough or the Thanksgiving turkey before carving, drying clear glass wear. These are way thicker than the run of the mill ones though I like the thinner ones too. These have a sewn in loop at one corner which I love in towels to hang them to dry. I’ll get many years of use from these. I prewashed and the hems held up. Looking forward to using them!

Only one real complaint….
My only one, real complaint, is that they are a bit too absorbent. I purchased these towels to help me filter ghee and yogurt. But the towels absorb a LOT of moisture. Didn’t get as much whey or ghee as I hoped. For other things, such as drying dishes, using them on the countertop for cleaning, etc… they perform magnificently!

Great towels for sourdough
Ordered these towels to use with my sourdough making. Alot bigger than I expected, but covers my sheet pans well and my proofing sourdough. If I knew how to add graphics I would. Highly suggest, absorbance is normal, basic floursack material. Thickness is a little heavy, not much. I feel these would hold up well to washing.

Use for drying lettuce & fresh veggies
I use these white muslins to dry my lettuce, leafy greens and washed vegetables. So much better than papertowels! I wash them once a week with the other whites and I like this arrangement.

If you deal with glassware you want/need these
I’d never even heard of flour sack towels until I started researching ways to get rid of water spots on my glassware. Looked through a lot of reviews here on Amazon for FSTs (most were for craft purposes) but I finally settled on this brand. I don’t care if they wrinkle, curl up, aren’t symmetrical, etc… All I want is for them to dry my glasses and leave them spot & streak free without scratching and that is exactly what they do. These things are huge (28″ x 28″) and are more than adequate for drying drinkware of pretty much any size. Comes in a pack of two but really you just need one. I put the 2nd one up for later use should it come to that but I think it’ll be a good while before I will need it (if anything it’ll be a “gift”). Make sure you wash in cold water on gentle cycle with a mild detergent (I use All free & clear) and DO NOT use any sort of fabric softener. Dry on low heat. Highly recommended.

Perfect for the kitchen
These kitchen towels are very nice. They’re a little rough but am assuming after a few good washes they’ll be softer. They are thin so not as absorbent as I’d like but for the price they’re great.

After Several Washings
These come like a new bed sheet….. stiff and way too new! After washing mine several times…. they have softened up and become an amazing addition to my baking bread needs. These are great. Try em…. you’ll like me.

These are good rags
They are good, simple cleaning rags. They are not what i would use as a dish cloth. They are simply squares of cut fabric. The edges are not hemmed. They leave small bits of fabric behind. Constantly. After you clean with these, you have to use something else to clean up the bits of fabric.
