Overview
No matter where you are, the 1/24 scale Axial SCX24 Jeep Wrangler JLU CRC 4WD makes it the scene for RC adventures. If you’re stuck at work, go crawling on your desk. A messy room becomes an ideal obstacle course. Take your vehicle outside — where its water-resistant electronics are safe from the elements — and set up an exciting trail with a few holes, twigs, and rocks. Full-time 4WD and a 3-link front/4-link rear suspension let you muscle over big challenges. Worm gears on the axles increase ground clearance, while realistic steel frame rails stand up to hard knocks. The Axial SCX24 Jeep Wrangler JLU CRC performs like a winner and looks like one, too. The realistic body rides on licensed KMC Machete wheels and Nitto Trail Grappler tires. For quick battery access, just remove one clip to tilt back the body. Garbage!!!
I ordered a used one, but it didn’t work. Had to return it. I ordered a new one and completely rebuilt it. Used it ONE TIME! Now it doesn’t work. I let this thing charge overnight last night and it still doesn’t work. Hundreds of dollars and hours of time wasted! I want my money back on all of it! Then I had to spend hours taking it all apart again and return everything separately. Literally stopped working after all that work, after having worked out of the box. I tried to charge and run it 3 times before I lost my patience.

Horizon needs to make major upgrades
Second unit I have bought for my son. The first unit had esc, motor, battery, and service fail. Instead spending time upgraded, decided to take a chance with second unit. In 3 weeks we have had a battery swell,, and a motor failure. They need to spend an extra $20 during manufacture to upgrade motor, servo, and charger…this just isn’t acceptable.

Battery won’t charge after owning for 8 days
Received it on Oct 18. As of Oct 26, the battery will not charge. Only charged twice in that time. Now have to buy a new battery or charger to figure out what’s going on..

I’ve added this to my crawler collection of 1/10th, 3, crawlers and 1 RYFT .Now 1/24 crawlers (axial and fms)Very easy to learn how to drive.I run mine on a indoor crawler course, nice and smooth for a brushed motor.Very easy to drive!

battery died after 2 charges but the Jeep is really fun
Very fun but had to order another couple of batteries after the original blew up like a balloon on the 3rd charge. Easy to drive and a very sensitive response.

Great for young beginners
It isn’t a cheap toy, but that’s kind of the point… It has great value. It’s great for young and old beginners to get into the hobby. It is durable, but if something breaks, everything can be replaced or upgraded.

Motor caught on fire
Seems pretty solid, nothing that stuck out however. The battery charger is not safe as it doesn’t balance cells, so buy a different charger to use that will do balanced LiPo charging. Also, the motor is garbage. I got a 5 minute test drive out of the box, and then a 10 minute drive after installing a new servo and suspension system. Motor caught on fire and burned right up after. I caught it before it damaged the chassis, however I do not recommend this car out of the box at all. If you are like me and enjoy building your own cars then this is a great base for a car. But stock? Garbage.

Great little rig after upgrades
I think this is a great mini crawler, but it is very light, so I would definitely recommend getting some brass upgrade parts. Other than being super light and liking to tip over. It is great.

Small
Only 4 inches wide x 4 inches tall and around 8 inches long. Much smaller than photo makes it appear. Price big compared to others at local stores that are it’s size.

Battery failed after about a week

Very cool out of the box truck ready to run
The only thing I can suggest, as they need to modify or make better axles, for these are very fragile and then the pin inside the actual comes out very easy on the steering knuckle. Other than that great truck lots of upgrades you can do to it.

Jeep guy must have
A must for any Jeep enthusiast… or kid! Bought to have Crawling competition with a friend of mine. Both of us were amazed at how well it moves at slow speeds! The only problem (if I were to complain which I’m not) is it is quite top heavy. Looking to add some aftermarket gadgets (and there are ALOT out there) to hopefully solve it.

Super fun rig!
Had the intention of buying a larger scale but decided to give the SCX24 a shot first to see if I’d be interested in the hobby. A month in and have already upgraded multiple parts (by choice to customize) and its a blast! Even got me into building a mini course in my storage building. Highly recommend if you want something fun that you can do in the house or just carry around with you in the car. Will be buying other models in the future and hope to get my kids interested in them.

Wasn’t inspected
So I bought 2 used scx24 1/24 scale rc crawlers used one came inspected and worked like new no scratches or anything but the box was coated in green paint and the other one came without manual or extras and had a blown motor and was not inspected. I got a motor from a friend and it works great now but just pissed me off I spent $110 on one with a blown motor and it wasn’t inspected. I’m happy with them now that I fixed the one I love it but just bs it wasn’t inspected and came with a blown motor.

Be prepared!!
This thing is super addictive. I have a youtube channel called Ryan’s R/C and I love this rc car. The aftermarket support is amazing..you could totally pimp this thing out. I love taking it to the beach as well. If your looking for a small crawler than definitely pick this thang up.

Love these little crawlers
They little RC Off-Roaders are just great, I find myself using this more that my 1/10th scale truck. Being able to use this in the house at anytime is great. Also my 3 year old loves playing too, I have bought 4 different models now. They are also easy to upgrade and that is fun too, just gets a little pricy lol.

Cats beware
My daughter got this for Christmas and now terrorizes the cat with it. It is extremely fun to play with. I grew up racing gas rc cars and have had many different sizes but never anything this small. What it lacks in size it more than makes up in fun.

Fun RC car and very sturdy!
So far I have loved messing around with this JLU Axial SCX24. They are very capable out of the box but getting into aftermarket parts will really make them go above and beyond. Start off with some simple upgrades such as adding some weight to lower center of gravity and some good wheels/tires.Overall they are a blast to take out and see what obstacles can be conquered. Would recommend if you are looking to get into RC.

This thing rocks!
I’ve had rc cars all my life but this is my first crawler. It’s small and slow and exactly what I wanted. It’s fun to drive over whatever the kids leave lying on the floor in the living room. Sticky, soft tires and good articulation. Also fun to torment the cats, slowly.

Battery or charger sucks
The battery or charger has never worked since I got the vehicle. It’s my fault that I didn’t return it in time. I just didn’t drive it because I have 22 RC cars. All of the best . I just wanted to warn people. It’s a common problem apparently. This is a total waste of everyone’s time for me to even type my stupidity. But there, I did it. I’m not happy because I don’t know if it’s the charger or battery and I’m sitting here messing with it finally. I tried a few times but didn’t really pay attention. I gave it five stars because it was pretty fun, but I only drove it with the original,from the factory charge. Ok I’ll shut up now. Oh I didn’t hit submit. Well now the battery just puffed up and was ready to explode. I’m glad I caught it. I’ve had lipo fires before and it’s crazy. I normally charge in my oven inside a lipo bag after the fires I’ve had. I’m so lucky my house didn’t burn down you wouldn’t believe it. I was supposed to leave my house but procrastinated and then a battery burst into flames. If had left the house like I was supposed to, my house would be gone. Lipos are no joke. I’m scared now

Great little crawler. Soon becomes an addiction with the amount of upgrades and work that can be done. Stock out of the box still performs great. Everything is included including AA batteries for the receiver.

Amazing platform
This is a amazing machine with incredible aftermarket, for someone like me who loves to tinker and try to make things the best they can be I don’t think a better platform exists, it does good stock and gets better with some modifications, I can’t wait to upgrade it to the max, I will say plastic parts are very easy to strip but the aftermarket support makes replacing or upgrading these parts a breeze
