    This set is adorable and my 2 granddaughters are enjoying it alot. I just wish the ice cream cones were wider and flatter on the bottom so they could stand in their own. The fact that they don’t stand, and they fall easily, really frustrates my 2 and 3 year olds. They love this set overall!

    Get this over the more expensive ones!

    We’ve only had this for 2 days, but my 2 year old son is obsessed with this toy. He loves ice cream in general, so I originally wanted to get him the popular Leapfrog ice cream cart (super cute but kind of bulky and I don’t have that much room for storage) or the Melissa & Doug set (love the look and simplicity, but not a lot of pieces for the price )….but honestly both are a little pricey in my opinion, especially when kids go thru toys like crazy. I get lot of wood toys that are more expensive, but couldn’t get myself to spend $30-40 for some plastic ice cream. This set tho is priced perfect, and had great reviews!! I still had my doubts on how much he will play with it bc it’s not a very elaborate toy….but we opened it early evening, and he literally played for hours (on and off between playing on his own and pretend- playing with us) until bedtime. Then again the next day. Such a great toy, at a great price point!PROS:- great price point- lots of pieces without being overwhelming- hold child’s attention for a long time- ice cream scoop is easy to use- does not take up space (I like to keep toys like these in a ziplock to keep the pieces together and separate from other similar toys. It also allows my son to see what’s inside and ask to play with it…instead of just tossing it all over the place).CONS:- the ice cream scooper is a little hard to release, but that’s normal for a 2 year old. he can still easily “scoop” and to release, can just gently pull it off to unscoop since he’s not strong enough/have the fine motor skill quite yet to squeeze the release lever. It wasn’t hard for him to use or figure out, and did not get frustrated.- the ice cream sometimes fall off, but I think it’s bc they don’t want to make it so tight that the child cannnot easily scoop and unscoop.All in all, definitely worth it. Very minor CONs (which aren’t really CONS honestly). If your kid likes ice cream/ pretend play. This will be a great toy/ gift. And doesn’t hurt the wallet once they’re “over it”.

    Durable and Delicious

    I have to remind the children to just pretended to eat the ice cream!!! They make themselves an ice cream treat, make treats for others and once in a while I get served a delicious treat! I work with children ages ages 3 and up! The most common questions I get from children are why the sprinkles don’t open. I just tell them for safety reasons. And the other is how the scoop works, but most figure it out on their own. Yes, it’s a real working scoop and the children have stacked four scoops plus the cherry topper successfully on the ice cream cones! Great value for the money, Battat toys rock!

    My 3 year old and ten month old were playing in the same room. The 3 year old was playing with the ice cream set. All of a sudden I saw the ten month old eating tiny peices . I checked and saw that the sprinkles container opened and she was eating the sprinkles. So dangerous

    We love everything about this set.. maybe too much! Only Takeaway…Kids discovered that the tops easily come off sprinkling containers and they can access the play plastic sprinkles which is definitely a choking hazard.. All it took was super glue on the lids and problem was solved just an FYI.

    Super cute and well-made!

    This is super cute and is nice thick plastic not like some dollar store plastic that is real thin and flimsy. Ice cream scoops hook together well. The scoop is cute but I wasn’t quite sure how to put the ice cream into it besides just putting it in with my hand which doesn’t look so cute to do. When I put a scoop of ice cream into the scoop for and stuck it on to another scoop of ice cream I had to squeeze kind of hard to get it to come out of the scoop. Cute anyway. I plan to use this as a reward system prop when teaching. When a child does something really good they get another scoop of ice cream or a topping at the end. I wish it came with little plastic fruit so you could make a banana split. Anyway it’s really cute and I got a great deal on it. The real expensive set on this website is about 16 or $17 and only has a couple of cones and some scoops of ice cream but no ice cream scooper or toppings or dishes or soft serve ice cream with it. I got this for about $8 and something with a few Amazon reward points giving me a bit of a discount. Now it list for $12 on Amazon.

    Very Cute!

    This set is very cute! My daughter loved it. (Shes 5) The set is pretty sturdy & the plastic is a lot thicker than what I expected. The ONLY thing i was disappointed with, is the fact that there’s only half of a banana, i would prefer, one more piece. (You can see what I mean if you look at the photos) Also the ice cream scooper attaches to the ice cream. (The hard ice cream) it’s definitely something the little ones will enjoy!

    Wonderful play set

    We had another brand of play set where the ice cream didn’t attach to the cones and neither did the toppings. I started looking online for better options – and with many thanks to the reviewers who included videos of the ice cream staying attached to the cones, we went with this one. The set is ADORABLE. Very sturdy, great quality, and a ton of fun. They can build up their cones and carry them around or pretend to eat. Exactly what we were looking for and there’s so many pieces for the price! Definitely recommend!

    Feel like a banana split?

    Giving this ice cream parlor set to my niece for her 4th birthday. Like most kids she LOVES going to the ice cream store. Set looks like it will be lots of fun and the pretend sprinkles and syrups and the half banana are cute extras. What is missing to me is a nice tray where the pieces would fit into to help with an organized clean up and put away. Yes, she can throw all the pieces loosely back into the box, but the set would be more enticing if when she opened it to play next time, items would be laid out neatly and also when putting away, knowing nothing got forgotten. I thought, in fact, I did see such a tray in one of photos in the advert. Thus, the 4 of 5 stars.

    Super cute, lots of fun pieces

    I wanted to get the popular Melissa and Doug wooden ice cream set for my toddler but couldn’t bring myself to pay that much money for it. This ice cream set is adorable and comes with a lot more fun pieces for a more reasonable price. My favorite are the sprinkles that make noise when you shake it, super cute and I enjoy playing with it myself lol.
