Smoothies every morning since it arrived!

Bought July 2016: You can’t go wrong for the price. I make smoothies with frozen fruit, flax seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, fresh spinach, protein powder, and water. I love how smooth the smoothies come out. I was looking to buy a ninja but my sister-in-law complained that hers left bits and pieces. She had to strain what she blended. I don’t have that problem. And it’s easy to use, my whole family loves it. We all have smoothies for breakfast now. I love the different containers! Everyone fills theirs with whatever they want and we get a customized smoothie every morning! The only complaint that I have is that the cup/containers don’t fit in my car cup holder so I have to dirty another cup to take it on the road with me. It’s not a big deal but I did spill the contents of a container all over my car. It was my fault, I know, I just got sucked in by the travel lid. It’s not travel suitable. Also, it’s pretty loud. I don’t mind it as I use it to annoy everyone still in bed trying to get those extra minutes of sleep that they really don’t have. HA!I would buy it again if I needed to. Great product so far.UPDATE Feb 2018: The blending blade did break within the year. However, I dragged my feet about it and finally got around to calling the manufacturer about replacing the blade less than 2 years after purchase. It was so simple. I just gave them the item number, date of purchased (I have a feeling that if I had called when the blade broke, they would have replaced at minimal cost) and what part I needed. I just bought TWO blades for $21.86. Here’s their number should you need to order a bade: 1-866-832-4843 Monday-Friday between 8:30am-5:30pm EST

I bought this one as a spare

I have had one of these for over 10 years and I use it everyday.Over time the plastic cups have been dropped more then once and have some cracks in them. To replace the cup is $15 just for one so I bought the whole set for only $38. I like the math on that.

Pretty good blender but worried about the life/quality

This is my second time using it and I started smelling a rubbery burning smell while it was blending. I didn’t think much of it until I opened it and found the rubber wrapped around the blade 3 times. Luckily it didn’t break in my smoothie but I’m not sure how long this will last.

    Great for what it’s worth.

I bought this Bella Rocket Blender because I need something to make my shakes now that my old blender has worn and torn. It has been 3-4 months since I’ve bought this and it is still running smoothly. Most of the time my protein shakes comes out just the way I want it, however there can be times where the powder sticks to the side of the cup as it’s blending. What I love about this product is that the cups are reasonably fitting for everything that I blend. It’s a perfect serving size that will get you reasonably filled up if you decide to use it for a fruit shake. I also love that it is miniature. I can just throw it in my travel bags if I am going on a trip.On the opposing side of this product, it is relatively loud for its size compared with other blenders of similar stature that I’ve had in the past. I would have to say that this is the only downfall to it.Be advised though, if you are looking to see the outcome of your blended drink being somewhat as advised on a commercial you would have to portion the amount of fruit, vegetables, etc. wisely so that it comes out well. Also, keep in mind that there are two different blades with two different objectives; the cross blade is for your more organic foods like vegetables and fruits; while the other is for grinding nuts, coffee, and whatever else you can grind.

    Better than a Bullet!

As a comparison shopper, I was so very glad that I found this Bella Rocket! I’ve wanted to purchase a NutriBullet for a long time but with all of my other gadgets and appliances such as juicers, blenders and a smaller rocket, I didn’t want to spend that much money for the NutriBullet However, I found this Bella Rocket which was much less expensive and with a stronger motor than the NutriBullet that I couldn’t resist and I am so very happy with this purchase and all the nutritional drinks, smoothies and shakes that I make. I must caution to not overfill the cups because it will become stuck to the base and you can burn out the motor. I almost ruined my brand new purchase by overfilling the 24oz. canister and it became stuck to my base and would not come off. I had my husband try to pry it off as gently as possible as to not damage my new purchase to no avail. I waited about 10 minutes and tried again. I didn’t want to break the canister but I was able to finally remove it with minimal damage, only 1 leg of the canister chipped at an angle but it is still usable. I realized that I overfilled the canister and was grinding out the motor and I created a major suction so that the canister would not release from the base so DO NOT OVERFILL THE CANISTERS/CUPS! I evaded a “tragedy” and was still able to use all of the canisters/cups that came in the package. The price was awesome especially for all that you receive within the package and with its stronger motor 700w vs. 600w that the NutriBullet has, this is a true WINNER.

from the time I bought it it would smell like the motor was burning up, electrical smell!

I didn’t really make any funny noise,, I wasn’t working it hard,, just blending bananas and almond milk, but the electrical smell it it had made me think that it might have been sent back due to it was faulty, but it will blend just fine, so I kept it and now it’s finally starting to work without smelling. It does still smell a little but not enough for me to send it back…

    It’s the bomb!

I’ve owned a smaller version of this for about 10 years now. (still runs like a champ!) I can’t say enough good things about them. This one is the bomb! So easy to make and store extra of whatever it is you’re chopping, grinding or ‘smoothie-ing’! 😁😉

I make smoothies EVERY day. I make smoothies using almond butter and the chipper part can make the butter.Simple, quick, liquifies frozen fruit, and I have two in the event something happens because I’m totally addicted to my afternoon smoothies.Best deal for a lot of products in one box.Good price.I run mine hard every day and I love it.

    My second. LOVE it.

Small enough to not take up much space in my kitchen. Strong enough to grind chick food for months. Plus lots of kitchen duty. After five years the motor is going strong but I managed to destroy all the cups (that on me). A real work horse.

Works great. Durability? Who knows, but so far so good

I had an identical “Cooks” brand blender. After going through a move recently, I pulled it out and it had some “sticky” in it that never got properly cleaned out. While installing the cup to make it work, bam, the plastic snapped. It was stuck due to sugary gunk and I pressed too far and broke the plastic inside the notches where the blender cup went.I had all those accessories lying around, so I looked for a unit that would replace it. Voila, this did. Cooks and Bella apparently are using the same thing for the base and cups. Now my old accessories work with my new motor and I have new ones, too.I don’t think the Cooks brand (which I am sure is made in the same place as the Bella) should have broken as it did, but when you don’t take care of your cheap appliances — and someone in my house didn’t and it could have been me — you have to expect it. So…Pros: Works with other models/brands and the accessories are interchangeable. Perfect for smoothies, cracking pepper, coffee or spices with the mill blade and the multiple cups and closure lids really aid in storage. This is the perfect blender for something small. If you own this, get rid of your electric blade coffee grinder/spice mill. This does it all and saves cabinet space. Looks good. Kids enjoy using it… very simple operation and I don’t mind because, well, it’s cheap. If they break it or fail to clean it, not the end of the world. Fun attachments/blades for many different purposes including a spice lid for shaking pepper/other spices onto food. Really handy stuff.Cons: It’s inexpensive, so you have to expect you’ll eventually replace it. This isn’t a KitchenAid mixer… it’s a $20 blender/spice mill. Only has one speed, so you use time to get the right blend or texture in the case of spices and coffee. Sometimes it’s tough to time it right. All those cups do take up some cabinet space and it’s easy to get pieces you need separated from the rest of the kit when you run a home with four people and all of them are putting dishes in strange places once they’re cleaned up. My kids pick strange cabinets for clean dishes unloaded from the dishwasher. You wouldn’t believe the places I’ve found the cheese grater…I love it, but it has limitations. I still have a full sized blender put away for times when I need it.

I like this BETTER than my Magic Bullet

We owned the Magic Bullet for about 10 years and absolutely LOVED it. We used it for all types of things, like grinding coffee, to pureeing steamed vegetables, to chopping nuts and making iced coffee. But it finally died, and we just didn’t have the money to spend on a new one. I happened to see this Bella here on Amazon and thought that for the price, I would give it a try.I am so impressed with this Bella! It has just as much power as my bullet did. The noise level I find to be about the same. But the Bella motor feels smoother when it is running. The Bella cups are a definite improvement over the bullet cups. The Bella cups are flat on top, so you can set them down while open to add ingredients or use as a cup. The bullet cups were rounded and could not be set free-standing. The Bella cups are also MUCH easier to clean, because they are completely smooth, where as the bullet cups had grooves.I should also add that we have a VitaMix as well, which is a VERY powerful blender appliance. But the Bella is SO MUCH more convenient. The VitaMix is just big and heavy and a pain, where as the Bella is quick and easy and takes up so little space! We are really enjoying this Bella. It was a REALLY good investment for the price! And so easy to use. Like our old Bullet, just throw the cups and blades right into the dishwasher when done! We have used our Bella to make dry bread crumbs, puree soups, chop nuts and a few other things since receiving it. All uses have worked flawlessly so far.We DEFINITELY recommend this for anyone considering the bullet, but wishing for a more reasonable price tag, and easier to use cups!

    Dont do it.

Excellent product. Don’t run it more than 3 minutes at a time. Does give off an initial “hot wire ” smell, still works fine. Only gripe I have with it is their ridiculous go-cup lid. Makes a terrible mess when using it on the go. That piece needs re-designed. EDIT: I am editing my review because the emulsifier (blending) blade wore out already, and I have called three times, at least two weeks to a month apart, and Bella housewares NEVER has the blending blade in stock. ALL I ever hear is call back in about two weeks. OK, so THIS time, I was told to call back in two weeks, and I called back in a week and a half to see what they would tell me… and I was told to call back in a MONTH. (Not in a few days, if the last call-taker was correct/honest. SO, from this, I surmise that they NEVER get in new blending blades and trail their call-takers to just say call back in two weeks… When I asked the newest call-taker today when was the last time they had these blades in (I have been without my extractor for at least 3,5 months now, and tossed my old blender because I THOUGHT this would be my replacement) She said June. They did not have them when I called in June. I will not ever buy a Bella Housewares Rocket Extract Pro again. Because you cannot get parts. One of the little girls that took my call said with a slight giggle, “we sell ALOT of the blending blades, is why we cant keep them in stock. (sigh) meaning they wear out quickly. Going to go with a Nutribullet, if they are NOT made or marketed by Bella housewares, because it appears one can purchase parts for it… Sorry I was so enchanted with the Rocket Extract pro LOVED it when it worked (oh, but I DID have to wear earplugs when I used it.)

    Love this blender

I’d give it 5 stars if it lasted longer.I use it every day to make a smoothie. It is so easy to use. It’s small and compact & fits in my kitchen cabinet. The cups fit in my car cup holders well. I throw the cups and the blade in the dishwasher & it’s great. It is powerful. It works. It’s a little bit loud, but grinding ice isn’t a quiet process & it’s quick.I have purchased this blender at least 5 times. It burns out from daily use. But, the price is fair and it’s worth it to me.I also tried the Magic Bullet because I got weary of needing to replace this so often (max 2 year life span?) and the Magic Bullet was louder, less effective and bulky! The cups on the other brand blender were big and took up so much more space. This is a sleek design. All in all, this is a handy blender and I will likely buy again as I am assuming the motor will burn out in planned obsolescence in about 18 months.I still love it.

Versatile. Powerful. Sleek. Easy to Clean.

I just got this and couldn’t wait to try it out. Out of the box, I was impressed with how sturdy the machine, blades and tumblers were. I also like the sleek stainless steel look and have no problem keeping it on display on my counter because it matches my appliances. The first shake I made was with Muscle Milk, a shot of wheat grass, some fiber, ice and pineapple chunks. It made a smoothie in about 30 seconds. Pretty fast. The only thing that I noticed was that some the powder of the Wheat Grass was stuck on the side of the tumbler and I had to scrape it off with a spoon. That surprised me, given the power that it crushed the ice and everything else with. I haven’t tried the grinding blade yet so I can’t comment on it.I also found the tumblers to be quite large in circumference for a travel mug. Not enough of a big deal to cause me to down grade my review though. The other thing that I found annoying, until I realized that I was doing it wrong, was that the lip lids are SUPER hard to unscrew. No matter how hard I tried, I could not remove it, until I realized that it just lifts off when you pull it up (my bad). But, being that all of the other lids screw on, I just assumed these did too. So, if you get it, just remember to lift off.The best part is how easy it is to use and clean. I have other mixers and juicers that make you think twice about using them because they are big, hard to clean and need to be stored. This one is so convenient that I can see myself using it for smoothies, soups, dips, pancake batters, juicing, grating, grinding and just about anything. I also like that there are three large tumbler, 1 medium, and 1 small, plus they have lids, which means that you can refrigerate before and after. So, after much rambling….I highly recommend this product.

    Good purchase

I bought my first one from macys about 8 years ago and is working perfectly. Couldn’t find it in stores so bought this on Amazon for my gf. It has two blades tops, so I use one for shakes and coffee beans, sauces. The flat wing blades I don’t use often but it chops well. Not sure which is used for what. But it’s nice to have tops that have strainers or just caps to store drinks or sauces in the fridge. The plastic cups will get cloudy after time but that happens to plastic, unlike glass. I prefer the plastic though. Highly recommend this product.

    Defective

Since the day I received it, it will produce a burning smell every time I used it. I thought it will go away with time but it didn’t. I might have used it no more than 10 times to grind coffe and a couple times to make smoothies during the whole time I had it. My husband told me from start that there was something wrong with it because it will start the motor as soon as you put the cup on it, he said that the motor shouldn’t start till the cup is locked in position, but I really didn’t pay much attention because it was doing the job and I only needed to be careful when using it.So last night I wanted to make a fruit smoothie, and as usual as soon as I put the cup on, the motor started to run since I wasn’t quick enough locking it, it started making a loud noise and some black plastic pieces were flying off the bottom of the cup. When I managed to stop it I noticed that the black piece that holds the blades and the driver clutch that’s attached to the motor were broken.I just borrowed my friend’s identical blender to see if it has the same issue and realized that, as my husband has been telling me, the one I received was a defective one and it was just a matter of time until it brakes. So sad it is too late to send it back. I liked it for coffee grinding because it was allowing me to grind bigger batches of coffee, the one I hade before will grind very small quantities at a time.I am still thinking about replacing it or not, I worry that their quality control is not that good and I may end up with another defective one. Also it comes with so many pieces that I don’t need.

    Works good while it lasts

I have purchased this item twice. Both times the product worked really well only for a few months. My daughter and I used used it a lot to make delicious smoothies. Typically I start with crushed ice as my refrigerator has an ice crusher in the door so it’s handy. I would fill the cup about 1/3 full with the crushed ice then add water to cover and fill in all the extra room that is created around the ice and a little bit extra (like maybe a 1/2 inch higher than the ice). Then add in a couple small handfuls of frozen fruit of some sort (strawberries, mangos, blueberries, peaches) if I had banana’s handy I’d put a half of one in. If you want it creamy, add in about a 1/2 a container of yogurt or a little milk. Don’t fill it all the way full, you have to leave some empty space for it to have it spin around. If your not putting in yogurt or milk, then put extra water in so that it is thin enough to spin around. The first unit I had the cup got stuck in the motor unit and would not come out so the second unit I had, I never twisted the cup into the motor base at all. All that is necessary is to put the cup in place and push down on it a bit and it spins. It only takes about a minute or less to mix it up into an awesome smoothie. I loved the quick, easy and delicious smoothies it makes and miss not having one. I’m currently debating on buying a 3rd one exactly like this or switching to another brand. I still have all the cups, lids, blades etc that comes with this brand so would be able to reuse those. This platinum edition is the first one I bought, the 2nd time I got the smaller version that has the black trim and less pieces that is less expensive. The motor just stopped working completely. It was only about $25 which I think is actually not too bad of a price to pay. I’m considering buying a more expensive unit with the hope it will last longer, but thinking I can buy about 3 of these for the price of the better one. With the price of buying smoothies at a McDonalds, Spangles, Sonic type restaurant being about $3 to $5, I think I got my monies worth out of it even if it only lasts a few months. Plus the convenience of not having to go somewhere to get one is valuable to me and I know the ingredients I’m putting into it are healthly and prepared in a clean environment. I rarely used the little cup and the grinder blade. I did find it could be helpful if startiig with whole ice cubes to grind them up smaller before switching to the blender blade. Cleaning it a breeze, if you just rinse it out immediately after using it, it’s ready to go again. The to go cup is great, can’t sip out of the lid though. It’s a cover only.

Works Great and a More Affordable Personal Blender

I had one of these years ago, and eventually broke the motor, or wore it out. I kept the extra cups, lids, and blades tucked away in a cupboard. Recently, wanting to get back into healthier eating, and making smoothies again, I decided to buy a new personal blender… but the prices of some of the more popular ones were a bit too much. So I searched and found the Bella like the one I had years earlier. It’s more reasonably priced, and I already knew it was of good quality. I use it almost every day, from making smoothies to nut meals, oat flour, guacamole, etc. A bonus for keeping the previous cups, blades, and lids is that now I have plenty for company…though I must admit, they give you a lot to start with.Update: Murphy’s Law prevails… The very DAY that I wrote the above review, I was making a wonderful strawberry and ricotta cheese low carb creamy dessert and it blended beautifully, as usual. I couldn’t wait to taste it, but I also couldn’t get the cup/blade assembly off of the base! It wouldn’t budge a millimeter and was completely locked into place. So frustrating! However, after talking to customer service, everything has been taken care of and a new one is on the way. I hope it lasts longer than this one did, lol.

Best value for the price; compact design ideal for small kitchens.

Recently, my traditional size blender broke in an epic fashion. While consulting my options to replace it, I stumbled upon the world of rocket blenders of various brands and with various packages, add-ons, etc. I have a TINY kitchen and this seemed like a fantastic option, since rarely do I make something that requires a full-size blender. I was interested in a blender for smoothies after workouts, malts/smoothies for the kids and occasionally I make salsa. I decided to buy the least expensive option I could find for the value and this is what I picked. I feel that the quality is good and while I know it isn’t the best quality product on the market, for the price it couldn’t be beat. The only think I wish this package had is a drink cover with either a flip lid or straw hole – it would truly be complete in that case. The other minor issue is that all the extra component parts are a bit clumsy and don’t store efficiently – particularly the blade twist-on. Overall, it is a great value and works terrific – I’ve had it for over a month now and use it 3-4x a week and have encountered no problems with the functionality of the blender.

Great Prodcut, Even for a Foodie

I am very satisfied with this blender. I purchased it in November 2009 and it has served me faithfully since then with daily use. A couple of things to consider before purchasing this item:1. Use: This is a MINI BLENDER, as that is the case, it is intended to small jobs that do not require a lot of blending. In the instructions, it is very specific about not allowing the blender to run more than 3 minutes at a time.2. Things I have made: I use this daily for my protein smoothies. I have put in fresh and very frozen fruit in my tall cups and never had a problem with a smooth blend. I also use this for cooking purposes. I have blended spices, dressings, and sauces in this. I have also used it for light chopping of onions, garlic, carrot, etc. Again, this is a MINI BLENDER, using it for anything beyond what I have used it for, is just using it outside it’s intended purpose. Using it outside it’s intended purpose, is asking for it to not last, and not work properly.3. The lids. Included with your package are some small plastic O-rings. These are seals, if you’re going to use their lids, you need to use the seal, if you do not, you will experience leakage.Overall I over all, I love this product. I love it so much in fact that I am about to order another one as my small blade blender has cracked. Do not panic, it did not crack on it’s own accord, but more of owner misuse!

The motor itself has been fine for me and my daily smoothies

Purchased this item in July of 2015. It’s now two years later and I have some feedback. The part at the bottom of the blade is made of rubber and WILL wear down to the point where it won’t be useable. The motor itself has been fine for me and my daily smoothies. I’m now using the 2nd blade (that is flat, instead of the blades that stick up), but this too will soon wear down and I will no longer be able to use it unless i can buy new blades/housings.But for the better part of two years, it worked. But it will wear down on you…for the price of 18 dollars, you really can’t expect it to last much longer than that, i suppose. If you found this review helpful, please click helpful below!Thank you

    Blaster

This is the second one of these I’ve bought. The list lasted 5+ years. This thing is great for smoothies, daiquiris and margaritas. It is loud but gets the job done. I wrap a kitchen towel around it in the mornings to keep the noise down. Love the blender. Love the price.

Pretty good deal. Lasted 4 years of frequent use.

I bought this to blend items for my newborn, about 4 yrs ago. It just broke, so this one lasted for a while. I eventually just used it for my daily morning shakes and occasional blending of onions, garlic, etc. It worked well as long as there was enough liquid. A previous one I had (different brand) broke because I blended meat or chicken and did not have enough liquid. With this, I mostly blended veggies and fruits. It is powerful but would still leave small chunks of unblended pieces. But overall, it was ok. I washed it in the dishwasher at times as well as by hand (50-50) and I think, after a while lids stopped fitting well and the liquids would spill into the blender base. This would cause occasional issue, so you need to wipe those spills right away. Also the cups were prone to breaking off those little things on the side, which go into twists on the base. this can potentially render the cup unusable in blending if 2 or more break off. But I managed to use them for freezing soups, etc.

    Great.

Good stuff. I just moved and for some reason couldn’t find the pieces to my trust ‘Skinny Girl’ blender, after already having purchased several hefty butternut squashes to make my family’s favorite butternut squash soup. So I immediately started scanning amazon prime for alternatives, be it spare parts, additional blade lids, or a whole new affordable blender I could trust. After research, I discovered they don’t make skinny girl blenders anymore but that blender was made by BELLA and it’s model type was technically an Rocket Extract PRO Power etc. This was super affordable so I went ahead and nabbed it after giving up on looking for pieces I couldn’t be certain would fit my other blender base.I say all this to say, no regrets. It performs just as that one does and gets the most velvety smooth butternut squash soup possible. And what’s more, the lucrative amount of pieces that came with this blender fit my other one so I have 2 blender bases and pieces that fit both. Sounds like a hassle, but I love to cook and this will make cooking in larger quantities for parties and events much easier. Making soup in batches is for the birds! Both of these on my counter doesn’t take up much space. Risk gone right!

    Holy S%$&!

This thing is powerful. It’s loud, but it’s so powerful that I haven’t had to run it for more than a few seconds anyway. Seeds? No problem. Ice? Piece of cake. Obvious statement of the day: depending on what you’re making, be sure to include enough liquid as you would (or should) with any other blender in order for it to operate properly. It comes with 3 of the large cups, 2 small ones, 2 blades (one regular blender blade and one specifically for dry items), a tiny “recipe book”, cup rings, a travel lid, a shaker lid, and some regular lids. The base has suction cups to help it stay in place when it’s powered on. There’s not on/ off switch per se, as it powers on when you lock the blade into place. I only included that because I’m not the smartest. That reminds me, there are instructions detailing this thing, if you prefer to read about it.I was apprehensive because I got it for about less than half of what the NutriBullet typically costs, but thus far I have been impressed. I use it daily. I blend, toss on a ring or travel lid and go about my business, and then toss the pieces in the dishwasher. I’ve done them by hand and they’re easy to clean that way, too; I’m lazy, though.Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. If it goes to poop or something then I will update my review accordingly.

Round 2 – works well enough

For the price, I’m really pretty happy with this blender. I had another one of the same brand/model for about a year before it died on me. I make smoothies most mornings (with frozen berries, yogurt, protein powder and milk), and I tend to make them fairly thick. So it puts a strain on the machine, and I’d say the last one survived long enough to be well worth the investment. For $30, I’m content with a year or two of service.I will note that the motor on my old one didn’t die – it was the locking mechanism. You twist the cup into the blade then twist that into the motor unit. Well, one morning it decided it didn’t want to let go of the cup after blending my smoothie – which was not an auspicious start to the day. I had to chuck the whole thing in the trash and buy a new one. They’ve made adjustments to the knobs on the cups, so hopefully it won’t go out the same way next time.UPDATE: February 2014 – this model has died, but this time it was the blade portion (started leaking out the bottom). So this lasted about 16 months. For $1.80/month, I’m pretty okay with the investment. Have ordered another Bella blender, this one only $25.

Cups chipped around entire time, broken plastic in my drinks

Both the large plastic cups have chipped around the entire rim. This means tiny bits of plastic went into my smoothies. Don’t buy this brand. There are no replacement cups available, it’s cheap and the cups will chip. Do yourself a favor and buy something better.

    Motor Burning Smell

Product can only be used for a short period of time before you get a burning smell from the motor. Not really a high-power blender that can be used for frozen fruit or too long.

This blender is good quality and comes with a lot of extras. It blends good as well. However it is extremely loud. I don’t know if the one I received is defective but it is so loud that I am not going to be able to use it.Edit: I changed my review to 5 stars because after using it about 15 times it is significantly quieter. I guess it just needed to be broken in, but initially it was extremely loud.

    Does not seal tight

I am on my 3rd Bella blender. First 2 gave out. The problem with this one is that the blade attachment gets loose and the drink gets all over. Not too happy with this one and just wished my first 2 had not stopped.I love it for mixing my protein powder into the liquid and ice. But not happy due to the leakage and then having to clean it up .

    Blends ICE and FROZEN fruit

I have been looking for a small sized blender that would completely blend ice and frozen fruits for my protein shakes– this product does just that. I mix a bit of ice, almond milk, frozen fruit, and protein powder and it becomes very smooth with no chunks.

Solid, powerful, great for smoothies. Ice? What ice

I previously owned the Bella “personal” blender, which I used to make smoothies until it the nylon/plastic gears wore out with (literally) a puff of smoke. While I was a little down on Bella products after that, I decided to buy this one in hopes I could at least re-use the cups from my old, broken blender.I was pretty shocked when I received this blender. Everything is solid. The cups are way bigger, and the box includes FIVE of them. Three big ones, two smaller ones. The smaller ones hold about as much as the large cups of my dead blender. I’m really impressed.I made a mango smoothie with frozen mango and ice. My old blender would rattle around as the ice got chopped up, and no matter how long I blended, there would still be little chunks of mango and rounded ice cube pieces. I put up with that for months, just assuming that’s how these personal blenders work. However, this blender pretty much annihilated the ice in a second or two, and I didn’t even hear it rattling around.I’m pretty happy with this one. Ice and frozen fruit actually does get blended as it should. I wish I would have bought it the first time.

Gasket Ring is the major FAIL for an otherwise perfect daily personal blender

Had been using the bella blender and previous one lasted 7 years. Had to buy a new one since there was no replacement cup available for purchase. This current product’s gasket ring does not stay in place and is much thinner than previous models. Makes the whole thing unusable. Also shipped with only one rubber ring for the 2 different blades.

    I’m loving this blender!

The blender is one of the best things I’ve ever spent $20 on. I’ve had this for almost a month, using it anywhere for 1-6 times a day, and it works great. I’ve never had a problem getting a perfect blend or having the motor struggle. You have to make sure you have enough liquid, it couldn’t do a triple thick milkshake, but it blends up a normal milkshake great! I’ve tossed in frozen fruit and ice, and it blends them both up. I’ve used it to grind coffee, which is does faster and smoother than my coffee grinder. And I’ve ground rice and oatmeal into flour, and it did moth if those great too!I only have one complaint, and it’s a but petty- the cups are pretty, but hard to wash. If you use a protein powder the dishwasher can’t quite get any sticky pieces out, and the cup is a bit slim to wash by hand. The reason is that there is lines up and down the cup that stick out a little on the inside. Add that to the way the cup gets skinny at the bottom, and if you reach your hand in with a sponge or cloth to wash it, it hurts. That’s my only issue with the blender. That said, I’d still buy this blender again!

Great little blender for smoothies – not a heavy duty grinder.

Just purchased another one after 2 years of service. This works really well to mix up a shake with a few ice cubes. We also used it to grate/grind some blocks of hard cheese and it’s really not up for that type of work. We wore down the plastic drive wheel so it wouldn’t engage with the blender blade wheel.

    Gasket didn’t fit

I was really excited for this blender except the gasket doesn’t fit right, at least mine didn’t. It smelt burnt and when I opened it the gasket had fallen out and got blended up into my smoothie. I had to fish it out in hopes of saving the smoothie but unfortunately I couldn’t. It blended nicely otherwise I guess

    No Serious Complaints

I have been using this once daily for close to a year now and it has done the job very well. It is pretty much a single serve smoothie maker, limited by size and perhaps power. It came with extra parts like lids, an extra blade for chopping and a small extra cup, but I have never used them. They do include one extra gasket, which I haven’t used yet but which could prove important later. You have to put the cover on very tightly or it will leak. At least mine does. I don’t think I would buy this particular one again, but I have to say it has been very helpful and reliable thus far.

    18 months and still great

I’m writing this review because I am looking for some replacement parts for my blender and saw I had never reviewed the original purchase. After 18 months of use, I wanted to give some advise on how to keep your blender working and you happy. I bought this blender to make daily smoothies for better health and to have something to stimulate my appetite for the day. I hate breakfast foods. The first tip I will give is keep the base clean inside the blender area. Wipe it after each use, especially if anything gets into the blending area. There is a tiny hole that will get clogged if you don’t keep it clean. Second, make sure to keep the gaskets on the blade casing new and fresh. They will hold dirt easily, and they wear out pretty frequently, so buy some extras. Third, do not over fill your cup, especially with liquid. You can fudge a bit more with solids. Make sure to put the blade lid on tight before blending or you will be cleaning a mess daily. Fourth, get some extra cups if you can when you buy the original, as they do not hold up as well as the unit itself and are almost impossible to find replacements. If you break off the ‘nubs’ on the cup, the unit will not work, no matter what you do. The cup is then useless for making the blender work. Be careful with your cups and don’t throw them around, as they are not really sturdy. Fifth, the cups, lids and blade lids are dishwasher safe. I don’t run the blade housing through much, just wash it daily by hand and take the gasket out a few times a week to clean. Also, don’t use the heated dry setting, as it could crack the cups and lids. Last, but not least! BE GENTLE WITH USING THE CUP TO START THE MOTOR. Don’t force the cup into the unit, press it in gently. If it doesn’t start the first time, take the cup out and reposition. I see a lot of reviews on here about the motors not working, etc. This is a small motor made overseas. It is not a generator engine! It will break if you are impatient and rough on it. And it will break the nubs off of the cup. Also, don’t shake it around while blending to further blend the ingredients. Take the cup off and shake, then return to blending if necessary. I never have to do this with mine. I do my smoothie out of spinach, some frozen fruit, a small yogurt cup, some water, protein powder, and fiber powder. It fills the cup perfectly and all happens in less than 5 minutes total. That is mixing and then the blending time is about 35 seconds. This is a great unit for a small price.

Use the appropriate blades and it will serve you well!

I love this baby! Everything is simple, easy to use and to clean. I make nut butters and smoothies. Had my husband not used the smoothie blade to make nut butter (it has a label for this reason*) I would have tried my hand at sauces and soups (before heat!). However, I no longer have that blade and I am finding it difficult to replace it. I found it but it cost almost as much as buying the whole package again. So if you pay attention and use the correct blade than this is the machine for you!The suction cups at the bottom hold it still while blending. The cups are easy to clean and have been placed in the fridge and freezer. The lids/accessories are great! The one with the holes I use to drain things. For example, I will soak blueberries in the cup with vinegar then put that lid on and drain out the vinegar and add water and drain it out, then repeat several times and I don’t lose a single blueberry! :DIf you don’t give the motor a break while grinding nuts it will start to smoke, but I blend it for like a min then open it up to redistribute everything and that is usually enough of a break. I make about 16oz of nut butter every week or two.*The label for the nut butter is a sticker and it lasts several runs through the dishwasher but I think it is only meant to last while you learn the difference and they expect you to remember as time goes on. Something more permanent and on both would be nice. And to include “not intended for liquids” on the nut grinder and “Not intended for nuts” or something on the smoothie blade. I’m not going to be there for every use, like if I had teenagers or uber helpful parents/in-laws helping in the kitchen after the sticker has worn off.

Still going strong after over a year of use!

I purchased my Bella in January of 2015 and it is still going strong….here are my reasons for a 4 star review…The Cons:1. I wash my blades in the top basket of the dishwasher – there is a weird black/gray powder to form which then shows up in the base where the part that spins the blade is.2. The grinding blade completely locked up and will not spin after several uses – I don’t really have a need for it anyways since I already own a coffee grinder.3. My emulsion blade doesn’t sit level anymore and sometimes leaks out – this is partially my fault because I tend to fill past the max fill line.4. The last couple of times I’ve gone to use my Bella, I can’t get the cups to turn properly to turn on the device. I have small hands and am short – one time I had to have my son help me out.5. It is LOUD for such a small device, but I’ve heard a Vitamix before and that is just as loud as the Bella. Or the blenders at Starbucks – those things have a noise cover on them and they are still pretty loud too.The Pros:1. I can make a smoothie in two minutes flat! Which when you are in a hurry in the morning is a huge bonus!2. The emulsify blade grinds chia seeds and flax seeds like nobody’s business.3. Cheaper than a Ninja and Vitamix4. The cups are durable as all get out – have been dropped, put in the bottom rack of the dishwasher – no cracks or weird warps.5. Small footprint – I keep the base on my ktichen counter next to my coffee maker and copy cat single-cup Keurig maker.Overall I would buy this again – and plan on too when my current one stops working 🙂

Believe the reviews – it is abnormally noisy

I like BELLA products. My BELLA electric kettle is one of my favorite things in the whole frickin’ world. So when I lost the only lid to my beloved Hamilton Beach personal blender, it seemed like a no brainer; here is a small BELLA blender that comes with extra lids and cups! It’s like it was made for my chronic disorganization, and it matches my kettle.Sure, a lot of people are commenting that it’s noisy, but every blender product I’ve bought online has similar reviews. “It’s a blender,” I think. “Of course it’s noisy.”But heed this warning. This is truly “noisy.” My boyfriend almost knocked his water cup over the first morning I used this to whip up a smoothie. He had his headphones on while playing a videogame – he looked like someone had just fired a gun in our kitchen. My old Hamilton Beach personal blender could grind up my coffee beans without disturbing his routine FIFA playing. But my first go with this blender had us both shaken. I think my cat has PTSD. Now, when I go to make a breakfast shake I do so with guilt and trepidation that I’m antagonizing our neighbors.Does it blend well? Sure. It tackles ice, frozen fruit, coffee beans just fine – it definitely has more power than my old Hamilton Beach. The question is, is the ear-shattering whir of a thousand lawn mowers worth fine coffee grounds? I feel like the noise is symptomatic of the accelerated wear that a lot of the other reviews are addressing – I’ve had this a month and the burnt rubber smell it sometimes emits suggests that the motor is too powerful for its cheap plastic casing.I’m definitely going to purchase something else when this thing starts to die – which, based on other reviews, probably won’t take long. I just hope it doesn’t murder me in my sleep first.

    For the price, DEFINITELY recommended

This purchase was to replace a Rocket Extract Pro that I bought in 2018 from Amazon for 32.99. This purchase was 39.99. This little power blender packs a lot of punch. It comes with plenty of useful accessories, including 2 different blades, and 4 tumblers. It also includes a shaker lid, drinking lid, 2 smooth rings to cover the screw top edges of the tumblers for drinking, and 3 solid lids. With the flat blade, it will grind coffee beans and nuts. The blending blade takes care of most fruits and vegetables, when cut to a manageable size, producing quick smoothies or purees. It chops ice fairly well. I do not use the blender every day–probably 4-8 times a month. For the price, for what and how I often I use it, especially with the accessories, and for the 4 years of service it gave me, I am very satisfied. Satisfied enough that I bought another one.

I received a Bella personal blender years ago as a gift, and still have it. So durable and easy to use, both of my kids grew up making smoothies in my blender. Now they are both off to college and their number one request: a personal blender. Bought each of them a Bella blender and it’s perfect for their dorm rooms. My mom was looking for a personal sized blender and I immediately had a Bella personal blender sent to her from Amazon. Highly recommend!!

I’m so glad I took a chance on this nutrition extractor at …

I’m so glad I took a chance on this nutrition extractor at half the price of Nutribullet! It’s more powerful than the original Nutribullet and emulsifies everything in seconds! I throw almonds, carrots, and all sorts of things in it and it liquefies it in a jiffy. Clean up is ridiculously simple — just rinse the blade and that’s it! You drink out of the cup you make the smoothie in. Another great plus is you can leave the nutritious skins on the fruits and veggies you put in there, such as Kiwi, lemons, oranges, and bananas. I slice a banana up with the peeling still on and freeze them before I make my smoothie. Just try to buy organic and wash everything really good. I especially love how it’s keeping me from wasting fruit and veggies. I had some leftover celery from Thanksgiving and I’ve been throwing it in my smoothie instead of throwing it out. Got a half a lemon or lime drying out in your fridge? No problem. Cucumber and lettuce left over from salad making? Use it!With the grinder blade I grind coffee beans, and it will make peanut butter out of peanuts in less than 30 seconds. Also, if you have diverticulitis like I do, you can stop worrying about those tiny seeds or nuts because there won’t be any when you put them in the Rocket Extract Pro.A little trick I stumbled upon. I love Avocados, but my favorite smoothie calls for a half. One day I just got another Rocket cup out and dropped half a lemon and the other half of the Avocado in there and put the lid on and put it in the fridge for my next smoothie. The next day my Avocado was still green.I show this to everyone that comes through my door — and sometimes I sound like an infomercial — but I do love my Rocket Extract Pro Personal Blender!

    Works fine

I use this to blend my morning protein drink – protein powder, chia/flax seed/coconut blend, and almond milk. The blending power is enough, but sometimes with frozen fruit, I do find chunks that don’t get ground up. It’s not a huge deal since the product itself is so affordable. If you do blend it for a long period of time in 1 go, or have big chunky objects to grind, be careful – the power needed to grind through all of that will slowly start to open the lid, allowing liquid to slosh out into the body of the blender itself. Make sure the lid is screwed on tight and blend for 3-4 second intervals, stopping to make sure the lid is still on tight. A couple of little things but all in all, a fine product for its value.

    best convenience blender

This is the best convenience blender I have used. I purchased two of these and gifted one to a family member. It has the highest horsepower of any ‘bullet’ style blender and travels well. I use a vitamix at home regularly and the Bella Rocket Pro can get my shakes to a near similar consistency. Other small blenders don’t hold up well when using ice regularly. I mainly use the Bella for shakes, cocktails and purée ingredients for recipes. Ice is no problem for this small appliance. The suction cups on the bottom of the base are a nice touch. After using the unit for a couple of months I am impressed! I did have an issue with the yellow area inside the base cracking after the first use (which is why I gave 4 stars) but it doesn’t seem to effect function so I’ve continued to use it. I would buy again and again.

Love this little workhorse, and great price…. update

This gets used daily, far more than my powerhouse big noisy blender which needs more quantity to work properly than I usually require. Seems to be well built and sturdy, quick, effective, and simple cleanup, love it. I especially appreciate the two blades and cup sizes for wet and dry applications. I am always using the flat blade for grinding nuts, making oat or other whole grain flours, grinding fresh spices, making smooth sauces and dressings, etc.. My only issues, (and it may be just me and not the blender)… sometimes it’s hard to get the blades screwed onto the containers properly and the liquid contents ooze out into the base once the motor starts. The other is it’s hard for me to turn the top of the container with arthritic hands to engage the motor, but again, not an isolated problem unique to this product. Overall, I definitely recommend this BELLA (13330) Personal Size Rocket Blender!5 month updateThe motor base is still working fine, but still having issues with the cheap plastic screw-on blades not seating properly and blowing through gaskets! I now have none and can’t find replacements that don’t cost as much as a whole new machine! Really disappointing as it has the potential to be a really great little blender but won’t buy again.

    Works for smaller amounts

This blender is great for simple smoothies and shakes. Doesn’t mix well if you add a lot of things. You will have to stop, open, stir up, and run again or do in parts. Perfect for dressings and marinades.

    Works well for daily smoothies

This works great for what it is! My nutribullet broke, and I did not want to pay a lot to replace it, so I went with this blender. Sure, it’s a little noisy and takes a little longer to blend….but it’s also $30. I use frozen strawberries and bananas, which blend them up well. It cleans really easily, and I love that it has a smooth ring to put on the cup while drinking.

Both of the short cups have cracked blending coffee

Size and ease of use are good. Still has odd motor oil smell 5 mo later

Morning breakfast smoothie is easier than ever.

Ok…. I do love gadgets and this is definetly a gadget..but it works so well and easy to clean and yes it is noisy but so is the regular old blender. The blender is big, takes longer to clean and you still have to dirty a glass… not so with this. The blender cup is what you will be drinking out of. It is small and easy to store….. go on now… try it ……….. you’ll like it.
