Not a lot of padding and only 4 pair were in my package, not 6
These socks are not any better than the Hanes or any other brand you can buy anywhere. They are not especially padded on the bottom and the material is pretty thin. Plus, I think someone else came to the same opinion and returned the ones that I received, as they were just loose in a plastic bag and there were only 4 pair instead of the 6 pair that I was supposed to receive.

I decided to purchase these on a whim to see if they would compare to the ones I always buy from JCPenny. They’re for my husband and he wears steal toe work boots every single day, so I was skeptical. I added them to his drawers without saying anything about it and I have yet to hear a complaint. They’re obviously just as good, but not nearly as expensive.

Wrong pair
I purchased these socks from amazon before with no issue, but this pack had long socks not the over the ankle style that I wear. There was no problem with the socks except for the fact that the sock length was the incorrect size.

My Favorite Socks Ever!
These are my favorite socks of all time, and I was so sad to see they were unavailable for a while, but now thrilled they are back!I bought these in 2018, and again in 2020. The batch from 2020 is just now starting to develop little holes in them, just in time for my new batch to take over for another 2 years. I know there are plenty of socks out there that have better durability, but in my experience, those socks are usually more expensive for just one single pair! With this one you get a whole bag of socks! Speaking of durability, I am also a very active person that works on my feet all day long, and I do all my physical activities, like tennis, basketball, and tag with the kids… all in these socks. I expect there to be holes developing after all that.My favorite part about these socks is the length though. As you can see in the pictures, these are “short” crew socks, and I have never seen a sock with this height before. I generally find normal crew socks to be too tall for my style, and the next standard size shorter is always too short for me. These Gold Toe “short” crews are exactly what I am looking for!

Gold toe comfort
My husband says every time he looks at his Gold toe clad feet he is reminded not to eat the yellow snow. In addition he says they are comfortable and durable. He would prefer they be 100% cotton but realizes that’s a rarity. So, overall, he’s pretty satisfied with them!

Crew socks the length they used to be.
This is it !!! great, solves a big problem I’ve had. Not available in any stores in any brand. I had to write Goldtoe sock company and they responded it’s available and gave this link.I can’t stand shoe top socks or socks 2 inches higher than shoes. ALL the “Crew Socks” suddenly became 2 inches higher about 15 years ago. I have extra large calf muscles like many Skiers or Bike riders so crew socks (except this one) now do not fit. made in Honduras. Thick 78% cotton 19% polyester 1% spandex.available in white or black. Should last many years,unlike some thin crap socks i recently had from a country in Asia (think you know the name) that didn’t last even 1 year. Thank You, Thank You Goldtoe. !!

Feels more than 19% synthetic : /
I have some older versions of these socks still. Their composition seems a lot different that the new pairs I received recently. This recent order seems mostly synthetic, not just the 19% listed in the product description (18% nylon, 1% spandex). They make my feet feel uncomfortable and like they’re causing sweatiness rather than absorbing it. I’m not a fan.

Socks are thin — not enough cotton
These socks do not have the 80% cotton they claim on Amazon to have. The label on the socks I received states that it is only 70% cotton. They feel stretchy, too tight, and too thin. I would not purchase them again, and will probably give these away to a charity. Waste of money.

My hubby needed quality and that’s what we got!
These gold toe socks are my hubby’s new favorite clothing item. He says they are comfortable, supportive, and super soft on his little piggies! I always get him undies and socks for Christmas, but this year I changed up the brand, and he is so happy I did. He is a 65 year old active insulin-pump dependent diabetic (plumber) and needs a bit more support and softness and it’s so difficult to get both qualities with one pair of socks. These are worth every penny! I am going to throw all his old socks out and replace them all with more of these gold toe sockies. If you just order one pair, I promise you will be back to order more!

Hopefully Great
My main reason for going with a more well established brand of sock was in hopes of longevity. I want socks that will last years without getting holey. Will these socks be the ones? Im not sure, only time will tell.As far as comfort and fit goes, they feel good. About what you would expect from a sock.Appearance-wise, the “golden toe” part seems very small in comparison to the foot, and to be honest looks a little weird. Im not one for aesthetics, so I don’t really care, but the toe print is rather ugly because of it.

Great socks, but…
I love these socks, they are by far the best so I just bought a second set of 6. Strangely enough, I noticed when doing laundry that the new socks are exactly 1″ shorter than the old ones (in the ankle area). I mean, it’s fine for me, I don’t care, they are long enough and are comfy and stretchy and so far they seem to last way longer than any other socks, I just felt it was my duty to point out an amusing example of “shrinkflation” that may be of concern to someone else looking to buy these.

Crew sock is high and varies.
These well made socks are comfortable. My only issues is that height on the leg is consistent. I have only worn two pairs. The first was 3/4 up my leg … more than mid calf high, The second pair went to just below the new. I do not consider either of these to be “crew” height. I will keep the socks – but I am surprised at the variability of the crew height.

Great socks
I bought these for my husband. He is a loyal Gold Toe wearer. However, he says the length of these socks hit mid calf and slide down throughout the day, leaving him with an uncomfortable feeling. I also bought him the crew length and he says those are the best.

Wear and tear
I’ve bought these 3 times because of the comfort, fit and price. They were really good…..while we had carpeted floors….and then came the wooden floors. I’ve been throwing out roughly 3 socks a week. I check the bottoms of them in the morning and sometimes by the time I go to bed one will have a hole in it. Time to look for an alternative and/or a pair of slippers….

Shorter than before
These crew socks were about an inch shorter than ones I’ve bought in the past. I was really disappointed that they were shorter and therefore NOT interchangeable with my existing collection. Otherwise, they were decent socks.

Workable daily sock solution
For the price, these are reasonable socks. I have purchased the same product each year or so for a number of years now, 6 or 12 pairs at a time.The socks have a finite lifetime. They fail by developing holes in the bottom or heel (I am perhaps tough on socks). I would estimate any given pair lasts me for roughly 24 wearings and launderings, then it’s landfill time.

Not what they used to be…..
I have purchased these socks in the past but this latest order was a huge disappointment to say the least. Gold Toe socks have always run on the small side of sizing, but this new purchase is DRAMATICALLY smaller. I should have read the description closer as they now say one sock fits size 6 – 12 1/2. This means that I have to pull the sock on to the point where my toes are crunched in order to get the heal of the sock close to my actual heal. I wear a size 10 1/2 to 11 shoe, so I’m well within the size range. Socks are well made, just too small. Wish I could return them, but I ran them through the laundry before trying on. NEVER AGAIN!

I purchased the Men’s Cotton Short Crew Athletic Socks, 6-Pairs. I now own 18-pairs. I have been wearing Gold Toe socks for over 20 years. I use to purchase them at Dillards, back in the days when I use to roam around the mall. I first purchased these exact same socks here on Amazon, a few years ago, but returned them because they looked small. Foolish me! My mistake was never trying them on first, before judging. A few months ago I placed another order (6 pack) hoping they ‘fixed’ the sizing issue. However, when I received the package, again.. they looked small. BUT, this time I actually put these new socks on. Now I realize that the ‘issue’ was me. There was never any issue with the socks. It’s just that the material is now more stretchy, but in a good way, not in a bad way. Overall these socks are of even BETTER quality than the Gold Toe socks I’ve been purchasing for the past 20+ years. The material is a much higher quality. The stitching is a higher quality. I expect these to last even longer than what I’m use to from Gold Toe. Plus they take up less space in the drawer. Yes, they look smaller than what we are use to, but they fit very well. I wear a size 11 shoe.I was so impressed, I threw out all my other socks and purchased two more 6 packs. Now I have 18 socks, all black. I’ve grown more accustomed to the black athletic socks, they look classier IMO.

Been wearing these now for perhaps 8 to 10 years….
I’ve always liked a “short” athletic sock, especially during the spring and summer months. Gold Toe is the only brand I’ve found that makes them. These are just like traditional calf length socks only a tad shorter. They are very comfortable and can be washed often without any shrinking. As I mentioned, I’ve been wearing these for perhaps close to 10 years now and the quality remains the same. I’ve never seen them made with less quality at any point. This is undoubtedly my favorite casual sock.

Better On Off
Same brand but shorter model. Although I was turning the taller ones down, there was so much elastic in them that it was hard to get them on and off especially if wet. Brand has 3 lengths; I have gone to the 2 shorter ones.

Great of sports, is shorter lenght version
Great sports sock, I use them for golf and they are the thickness I like, not to small like a flurry crew sock but not to thick like a padded sport sock. Note these are the “short” sport goldtoe sock not the “regular” sport goldtoe sock. Difference is top lenght of short is 6 inches while regular is 8 inches, but this is not a problem

Durable
Im no connoisseur of clothing. But these socks are in a completely different category than the crap you can get at Walmart. They may cost more upfront, but they will last twice as long as Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. If you’re like me, you will feel and enjoy the quality of these socks every time you put them on.

Socks that don’t have enough elasticity
I’ve always been happy with my purchases of Gold Toe socks – until now. While they are attractive and appear to be sturdy, it’s difficult to put them on as they don’t stretch enough. Plus, once I have them on and pulled up to mid-calf, the tightness starts to hurt my calves after wearing for only a few hours. If there had been more stretch/elasticity to the socks, I would have been extremely pleased.
