packaging issue
very lucky that the item didn’t go missing because it was not placed into an envelope or box. as you can see they shipped it in the thin plastic. other than that the shorts are wider than they look pictured, even for a small.

Very comfortable sleeping shorts
These were on sale and for the price, these were an excellent buy. They are light weight with side pockets and come in a variety of colors. I purchased as sleeping shorts and am very pleased with the fit, no binding or riding.

Hmm draw string waist
My husband and Son both live to wear bball shorts to chill out in – so I got these for my Son and the waist is draw string with no elastic waist as a secondary means to hold the pants up. Perhaps I bought these without looking intensely at the description but if you’re looking for pull up shorts – these aren’t them

Comfort

Value & Comfort
These shorts are a great value, very comfortable, and the fit is true! I bought one pair to try and ended up buying three more pairs in other colors. I wear them for working out or running errands around town. The quality of the fabric seems nice and washes/drys quite well. I haven’t had any snags or picks from wearing, keys, cell phone, wallet, etc. in the pockets, which are quite deep and nice.I agree with several comments from other reviews:1) The inner drawstring is indeed VERY long! To the point that I thought it was going to hang out the bottom leg of the shorts! It also tangles up with things in the washer/dryer! This is the only drawback I find about the shorts.2) I’ve been wearing the shorts for a couple of weeks and wash/dry a lot; I don’t know that the fabric will hold up forever – time will tell. But for this great price, I don’t particularly care. If they wear out in a year, then no brainer to replace at this great price point!3) I don’t feel that the fabric is so sheer or see through, that I am uncomfortable. However, in all the colors, you can definitely tell if you are wearing underwear, thong, a jockstrap, or commando. The lines or lack of lines are very pronounced as others have said. It’s not indecent, but if you are modest about such things, you might not feel comfortable. Me, I could care less!It’s a great buy and for every day work out or wear – try them! I think you will like them! An affordable and good value from Hanes!

comfortable but odd sizing
ProsGood general purpose sports shorts, easy cleanConsI bought 2 sizes to test, L and XL. L was a bit fitted at the legs but right at the waist, and XL was too large at the legs. Drawstring waist on XL makes it adjustable.

Great value
I bought these men’s gym shorts with high hopes for a comfortable and functional workout gear, and in many aspects, they delivered. They are comfortable, well-fitting, and perfect for my gym sessions. The material is breathable, which is excellent for workouts.However, my excitement turned to disappointment when the drawstring came all the way out in the washer during the first wash. This design flaw was frustrating, as the drawstring is essential for ensuring a secure fit. Having to re-thread it was an inconvenience I didn’t expect.Overall, these gym shorts are great for workouts, but the issue with the drawstring coming out so easily is a significant drawback. If that aspect is improved, they would be nearly perfect.

Hanes Mesh shorts
Fit me well. These were a better deal than the Champion brand at the time of purchase. I have some of both brands and they are both good. Seem durable and well made.

Lightweight and comfortable
These shorts are lightweight and comfortable. The shorts have tiny little air holes to keep you cool while exercising. The shorts launder well and are true to size. I have a 35” waist and ordered a large but may have able to get by with a size smaller the shorts have an internal drawstring that allows you to make the waist tighter. The shorts have two side pockets that are deep enough to place a cell phone. After a few washings, the color has not faded at all. I’m 5’10” and the shorts come down to my knees. So far, seems to be a very good choice.

Waistband elastic weak, but drawstring shoulder support is innovation.
Your gym shorts will never fall down again because Hanes shorts have a built in drawstring that can loop over your head while you wear them. Don’t worry about a flimsy waistband! The string around your neck is comfortable and if you need more, just keep pulling.

Waist too tight even for a size Large
I’m finding that even for a size L, these are too tight around the waist…in fact, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. I’m typically a size 33-34 in terms of pants. Otherwise, quality, material, workmanship are great. Hanes is a top brand for me.

Great value for the price!
Not a bad pair of shorts. The little holes do make them a little “see through”, but my boyfriend wears them around the house only. Plus, could be a bonus to help cool you down. I will say the quality leaves a little too be desired: some of the pairs had issues with the thread loops where they were previously snagged. Overall, still a great deal.

Shorts are NOT lined
Bought these to replace some very worn out shorts my husband had. They looked the same and I didn’t think to check for lining. They are NOT lines so pretty thin. He kept them but definitely not something he’d where in public unless where something underneath.

Very simple and cool
These are neither lightweight, nor thick. Just your basic shorts but much more comfortable than any other shorts I’d say. They’re soft and light against the skin, and the wind blows through them easily because they have perforated fabric. Nothing bad about them you like them.

Good shorts for the price
These are not my favorite shorts but they got the job done. I needed blue shorts on short notice and these bad boys came right on time. They have pockets(which is good) but they are extremely lightweight and not the most durable shorts so be careful. Great for gym class or running workouts. I’d choose something else for lifting or intense activities.

Fits short skinny guys!
I ordered the small size and it fits perfect. Length and waist are perfect. I’m 5 foot 4, 124 pounds and have a 27-28 waist. I needed something light for pajamas, and this hit the spot. Like another reviewer said here, I got these because they remind me of high school gym shorts that I used to wear all the time!
