Good, but not my size.
I have bought Hanes underwear for years, all size Medium. These are too long, and would be above the waistband of my pants. I have returned them and will buy another Hanes style.

At first, I loved these. The fabric appeared to be of an excellent quality quality, and the fit was incredible. I purchased these items in December of 2015.By July of 2017, the elastic on the underwear appeared to lose its elasticity. It was all stretched out to the point where the underwear probably would have been good for someone with a waist of 4-6 inches more than what I was. For me, this made them totally unusable. The fabric held up nicely though. There were no holes or anything.I suppose that if you think that a year and a half or so of use for 9 dollars and change is OK, then these are great. I just expected them to last a lot longer, hence the 2 star rating.Personally, I’m not sure that I would buy these again. I used to love Hanes though.

Quality, comfortable underwear.
Don’t misconstrue my four stars as anything bad. These are underwear; and they’re daily wear type. They are comfortable, last reasonably well and priced right. I tend to get about 16 months on them before the elastic wears out. Will buy again; but there are things I actually love and underwear will never fall into that category.

another Husband Christmas gift
I didn’t even keep his old ones. They were so old they were literately falling apart. When I washed them I had to be careful not to accidentally put my finger trough them. They were a grey color that wouldn’t even respond to bleach anymore. So thin you could see right through them. I thought of starching them to give them a little more body. I didn’t tell my husband that thought, just the dog. We had a good laugh anyway. Now everyone is happy.Thank you so much!!!!!!

You get what you pay for
Solid seams but the materials are thin and the construction makes them less comfortable than other briefs. I don’t expect them to last through more than 6 washes or so. I paid about $18 for the 7-pack, so that’s about $2.50 per brief – that’s an amazing price, and I apologize to the low wage workers, if any, exploited during their manufacture. When you consider that you can pay anywhere from $10 to $20 per brief for excellent fit and wear, it makes perfect sense to have these for the gym or just for backup when everything else is in the wash. I save my good briefs for work mostly.

Elastic waistband stretched out after just five washings
I have worn Hanes underwear for many decades. They are now relatively difficult to find at brick and morter stores like Target, so I ordered some from Amazon. I got a 7-pack in white. They fit fine to start, but by the time they had been washed five or six times, the elastic waistband stretched out so as to make them unwearable. Fortunately, I still have some older pairs that are still functional, but I am not sure what I will do when those wear out completely. It is sad that product quality has deteriorated so much.

not as described
I bought these for my husband but he didn’t like them at all. The fabric is thin, the waistband is uncomfortable, and they run about a size smaller than advertised. I was disappointed since Hanes normally makes a good product, but we gave these away. Just beware, since underwear isn’t returnable, understandably.

Not as picture or described! Too thin! Too small!
The elastic band did not match the picture on Amazon or any other picture on the internet including Hanes’ own website even though the model numbers matched. Heck, it did not even match the picture on the front of the package. The band had large white writing on a white band so the branding was hardly visible. Material was very thin and see through. If this is Hanes’ definition of “Ultimate”, then I am done with the Hanes’ brand. I have worn and loved Hanes’ underwear for 30 years, but that relationship is now officially over. When I used to buy them in the store they had actual sizes like 32-34, 34-36, etc. , not S, M, L. Now the medium keeps getting smaller and smaller each time I order. You can tell this when you lay one on top of the other. The Hanes’ Classics used to be nice and thick – not this tissue paper thin cheese cloth they are trying to pass off as actual material. They look like they may last 2 washings before literally disintegrating. I guess I will have to just count this purchase as a loss and throw these out because I will definitely not be wearing these. The shape is also odd – high wasted with no pouch area. These actually feel like light weight panties for women, but women deserve better than these also. Lastly, I bought these directly from Amazon and not some third party.

Errors and misleading information.
I’m giving these undershorts 3 stars because they are a bit less than full-cut as described, they are labeled as Ultimate, which is misleading, and the size chart is incorrect. I found the correct size chart on the Hanes website and chose medium, my correct size. Ultimate usually signifies the best of a product line, so I consider the label to be misleading. I had a 7 pack of unused “average” Hanes in a drawer and performed a weight test. The “average” shorts were 14.2 oz, and the “Ultimate” were 12.85 oz each. The cotton fabric on both was thin. The “average” shorts were taller and and therefore more full-cut. The new shorts did wash well on the first washing, hence the 3 stars.

Too tight and do not fit the same as they used to fit.
Consistency is key for me and have been buying this brand for my entire adult life. This was the first time that they were not comfortable. The size seems to have gotten smaller. No it’s not me as I have maintained my body size and weight for the last 30 years. Very disappointed

Fruit of the Loom edges out Hanes
I purchased a 9-pack of Fruit of the Loom Men’s Tag-free Cotton Briefs and a 7-pack of Hanes Ultimate Men’s Tagless With Comfortflex Waistband, both were size medium. I weighed them using a food scale. Fruit of the Loom weighed 2.13 oz each, while Hanes weighed 2.07 oz each. Fruit of the Loom was slightly smaller, so thickness-wise they were both very close, but Fruit of the Loom was slightly thicker. Fruit of the Loom cost $2.35 each, while Hanes cost $2.43 each.My picture shows that the Hanes lettering on the waistband is white on white, not black on white as the product picture shows.

Hanes Briefs
I purchased these for my husband but that were a bit too small. I am accustomed to buying his briefs with the sizing of 34. The sizes listed on Amazon were small, medium, large, etc. Not being familiar with purchasing them in these types of sizes, I went ahead and guessed that he is a medium. When they arrived, the tag said 32-34. It would have been helpful if these sizes had shown on the Amazon site because then I would have purchased the large which I assume is 34-36. I have no complaints about the quality of the briefs.

Good Buy Nice Quality
These are standard nice quality Hanes shorts. I thought the material looked thin out of the wrapping…but washing and drying them proved them to be the same quality I always liked about Hanes underwear. The price was much better than I had been paying. So I am very pleased with this purchase. I will be ordering more when needed.

Tighty Whities
Very nice tighty whities! 16 years old and I only wears tighty whities, and I wanted to try out Hanes. They are very comfortable, and perfect sized. I am given wedgies occasionally and these briefs rip quickly and don’t ride up easily, making the wedgies bearable. The only downfall is that they are semitransparent but it isn’t too noticeable.

The Best Brand of Men’s Brief.
I have been wearing these same Hanes briefs since I was in junior high school and I am 80 years old now. Hanes has made small improvements from time to time. I still find this particular brief to be the best of the Hanes lines and far better than any other brands on the market. What more can I say. The Hanes brief is just the best.

It’s all about the fly!
I am a briefs guy, white briefs in particular. I’ve bought and worn many brands over many years. Therefore, I consider myself an expert. This may be the only area of my expertise. Well, now, to the subject at hand.I admit I was skeptical when I bought these Hanes briefs. I think it was the brand. Somehow buried in my underwear memory, perhaps from my teen years, was a recollection of a bad experience with Hanes briefs. But I tossed that aside and bravely ordered the Hanes Ultimate FreshIQ Full-Cut Briefs.I’ve worn them for 7 or 8 months now. The medium size is slightly on the small size, but not uncomfortably so. The cotton is soft and seems to be holding up well. But the really good news here is the fly.I’ve often lamented that designers of men’s briefs do not appear to understand the male anatomy. I concluded this from the usually-non-functional fly of most briefs. (This is a family-friendly review; so I won’t go into more detail.) Suffice it to say that Hanes has finally *nailed* the fly design with these briefs. You can actually use the fly! This is a major advance in briefs technology.

Very comfortable whitey tighties
Bought these to replace a previous purchase from another well known store out there. Both M sizes and these are genuine M size compared to what seems like tight M size I purchased from the other store. This version on Amazon leaves you feeling free, contained, and not squeezed at the waist. It’s almost like going commando but you’re wearing something underneath there.

Do not buy!
Ordered these in August, just started wearing them about two weeks ago. They’ve been washed less than three or four times. On one pair the briefs are separating from the waist band, on the other , they are coming apart at the leg seam. Owned a lot of Hanes underwear, never again. These are cheap and not well made. Never again.

Might want to buy one size larger than usual
I usually wear a medium 34 but these were very tight. They look good and feel good but just a little too tight for my pleasure. If I ever purchase again i would buy a large. Don’t know how much they shrink because I just took them out of the package and tossed int he washer and drying before trying them on..
