Holds phone steady
Both my son and wife use this holder with good results. I installed it in my 2001 F350 to hold my iPhone, and it is very steady. The adhesive on the black disc can loosen in the hot sun on a black interior, as happened on my wife’s Tahoe. I typically use a sunshade on hot days that should shield the holder. An alcohol wipe prep pad makes sure the area is clean for attachment.

Just about perfect
I’ve gone through about 10 different phone mounts over the years trying to find “the one,” and this might be as close as I’m getting.First, one of the key features of this model is that it comes with a mounting plate. This makes mounting much easier and gives you more options as you can stick it nearly anywhere and have a smooth, flat surface to mount the holder. The dashboard of my truck doesn’t have many places that are flat enough to mount a phone holder, and this created a lot more options. The place I chose to mount is too textured for a suction cup to grip, but the mounting plate sticks no problem. The suction on the mount is incredible. Even with it turned “off”, the grip is still rock solid. I actually drove around for a day with it “off” and the mount never let go. To remove from the mounting plate though is easy, simply pull up on the tab and “peel” the suction cup off. It will take a little effort, but that’s good! The all joints on the arm are “indexed” with interlocking teeth, which means once it’s tighted down it won’t move, at all. It also won’t (cannot) loosen up over time from vibration/wear. Adjustability is great, too, though this particularly model won’t extend fore/aft if if that is a concern. Now, the phone grip is just as good as the rest of the mount. Lightly press your phone into the mount and the arms snap close, tightly gripping your phone. My phone is relatively heavy (Google Pixel 7 in a Google branded hard case), and it does not move, AT ALL. My truck isn’t the smoothest riding vehicle and Michigan roads aren’t great either, but this is the first mount I’ve used that shows zero movement or vibration. It’s rock-solid. I’ve tried several highly reviewed magnet mounts, and none come even close to this stability.Removing the phone is easy. I can do it one-handed, simply squeeze the “wings” together and the jaws pop open and lock. The only minor issue I have with the mount is that the phone tends to sit every so slightly crooked, which only is an issue as the bottom charge port is sometimes off-center and partially blocked by one of the lower “jaws” of the mount. I can usually just nudge the phone a bit to adjust, or at worst take the phone out and try again paying more attention to how it’s oriented before closing the jaws. All in all, seems to be an excellent product with good design and better than average construction and details.

Working after ~1 year!! Maybe not for frequent hot weather areas.
I’ve had this mount for probably over a year now, and it’s the only one I’ve ever purchased that hasn’t needed to be replaced in a few months. Bought it originally after my mom had the same one and it seemed to be durable. Adheres great and adjustable on the dashboard. Only twice have I ever had a problem with the suction, both times on really hot days for New York. If you live in a hot location and don’t shield your car from the heat, the suction might be something to consider. However, after those days, the suction hasn’t given me a problem since and the mount has worked well since. If you’re tired of replacing mounts like this, this one is still working for me!

Base doesn’t pivot
I wish I had read the description more carefully, so I could buy a different mount: the pivot 260 degrees refers to the range of swing of the pivot arm forward and back. I assumed the base would obviously pivot, since that would obviously be important for positioning the mount, as well as swinging it out the way when not in use.The only way to turn it is to pull it off and reposition it, something the thick adhesive on the “suction cup” makes a struggle if you mount it on your windshield. I had assumed the section cup would make it easy to remove and put in the glove compartment when not in use. I’m not sure it really qualifies as a suction cup if it’s actually glued to the glass.I don’t have any flat spot on my dash to mount it on, so even if it is easy to reposition when using the mounting disk, that isn’t an option for me and many (most?) people.

Works for an FR-S/BRZ/86
Used it on my FR-S after seeing a similar one installed on the same car in a similar way. It works and we will see how long it’ll hold and if it will survive SoCal summers (100+ F degrees).I had a pretty long list of requirements. Didn’t want something on my dash or windshield to obstruct my view. Didn’t want it to get in the way of radio, a/c controls, shifting, or any vents, and wanted it to be able to glance at it when needed, such as navigation, and loved the one handed operation this provided.Where I placed it the passenger seat does not hit when pushed full forward, and it doesnt obstruct the glovebox. I tell passengers to watch out for it when they come in. It doesn’t seem to get in their way.Just wished the extendible arm would be more adjustable to be able to move it higher.

Suction is so strong I can’t get it off the windshield – ha!
Got this to mount on the windshield and the suction cup is amazingly strong. So strong, I can’t seem to get it off to adjust the position a little, so maybe a little too good! It’s easy enough to load/unload the phone. It holds smaller phones which is kinda hard to find.Be aware that phone holders are not legal in all states depending on where you mount them because of how that may impact your view of the road. I didn’t know this – thankfully someone mentioned it and I was able to look up the laws for my state and position the holder appropriately.

Not a vacuum suction cup (2nd Generation) (iOttie Easy One Touch 5)
The media could not be loaded.
Headline is not vacuum suction cup. Mentioning this because if nothing else I made the mistake of assuming it was because of it’s lever. My fault so I can’t say it’s a bad product. The Touch 6, latest version, also appears to be the same sticky suction cup so it’s not a vacuum suction cup either. My biggest problem with this type of “suction cup” is that it’s basically just glue. It will wear down over time. Not the biggest problem, just buy a pack of M3 VHB sticky mounting dots for $10. Many may opt to buy an entire new holder though. Already seen a review on here that the suction cup adhesive worn down. It sticks pretty well.Another thing is the cup won’t stick if the surface has even small dips. See photo with red square. The issue can be resolved by using the disk (they call it dashboard pad) that comes in the package which I assume uses M3 tape under it.Be warned: once you place the disk you can’t pull it out without destroying the tape unlike the suction cup. Seen someone fail with that 😂Other than that the holder works. You your phone facing down and the clamps hold. The quick release works. Make sure to tighten everything down so nothing moves as you go through speedbumps.

Best for a dashboard
With phones getting bigger and heavier this is best for a dashboard. On the window it fell a couple times due to the weight of phone. If I went over a bump it would fall but once I moved the dashboard I had no problems with it. I like the suction of it as well. Most time they lose adhesive and feel like this one didn’t lose it.

Sleek look
Love the fact that it’s not as bulky compared to others like it. My sister has the same one and I had it get it. Love that it attaches to the CD slot and not blocking the air like others that has its attachment on the vent. Too bad it didn’t work in my car, my cd slot was down lower next to my shift knob and I bumped into it all the time.

new and improved
The original version/first gen one touch 4 from this brand is on the left and the new version/latest gen one touch 6 is on the right, probably about 7 years between them. The manufacturer makes their products to last in temperature changes, shock wear and tear in a vehicle, and accidental drops off the dash or windshield. The new version improved the screws (previously held together by electrical tape after wear) and the whole spring loaded release trigger has been revamped (the reason the last model finally broke was due to the spring popping off of the back and the plastic latch broke). Now the release mechanism is within the unit so it seems sturdier. I was still expecting the telescopic arm which doesn’t exist in the new model, but after mounting it this was not a big deal because the arm is the same length as before. The suction cup is the same and still works great with the sticky pad. The lever to lock the suction cup is also fairly similar. Overall I’m happy with this brand’s quality and consistency over the years for the product value!

Easy to use
Works well with dash or window mount. Easily able to insert and remove from the holder. Holds both Android and apple phones with no problem. Able to charge while in the stand and access my side buttons. I drive some ruff roads and the unit hasn’t dropped my phone. The arms feel a little flimsy but so far they are doing their jobs.

Good
Good phone holder. I have a pot sticker on my phone but it still holds my XR. Over time, the sturdiness fades cause my phone just droops down as soon as I put it on the holder.

Nice
This is a nice no frills phone holder. I took it right out of the box and stuck it to my windshield in a very bouncy truck and it held my iPhone 15 pro max with an Otterbox case just fine. It also telescopes.Iottie has made steady improvements every year with their phone holders and this one is definitely the most sturdy yet. It also has a thoughtful magnetic cable holder. Comes with a dash puck that I’m not using yet.Definitely worth the money.

A little floppy
Holds well and makes good use of that post-post 8-track player hole. But a lack of a flange gives it little vertical surface contact with the dash and it gets a little floppy on bumpy roads.

Great for a while then gave out suddenly!
Worked great for 27 months mounted on my car’s windshield. Then suddenly while I was driving with the cell phone in place, it dropped from the windshield. Tried to re-mount it multiple times but it just would not stay on windshield anymore for more than few minutes. It seems the problem was the “super suction cup” for which the adhesive layer appeared cracked and to be decomposing. Guess it reached end of its useful life. It’d be great if replacement suction cups available? If so, rest of the device was working fine so would be able to put it back to work. Otherwise, time to shop around for another one…

BEST Dash Mount for our RV
I found this product reviewed on WIRED as one of the Ten Best Cell Phone Mounts. I vote it #1. I stuck this to a non-smooth dashboard surface, and it’s never come loose in several months or use. I did not use the included mounting disc; I simply adhered the suction surface on the mount to the dashboard surface. The lock and release mechanism is beyond compare, very easy to operate. You place the phone on the mount’s feet, which hold it in place, and press lightly on the phone to activate the clamp. To release the phone, you squeeze the two tabs below the clamps together, and the phone is free but still supported by the feet so that it doesn’t fall. Some design engineer really thought this out well. The location of the mount it obviously a personal choice. I mounted mine on the dash-top to the left of the driver. I can see the phone clearly without distraction from driving. The mount is stable and does not shake or wobble. You might want to consider being able to attach a charging cord from the mount location. I have a USB port close enough to connect the cord to the phone while driving. I found no need for the included magnetic cord attachment with my IPhone 14. The cord fits snugly enough without it.I initially set up the mount with the arm extended to its maximum length to bring the screen closer to me. However, this resulted in minor shake and wobble of the phone. I found that I had excellent view of the phone’s screen with the arm contracted to its minimum setting where the phone was very stable. Do make sure that you securely tighten the round locking nut that allows rotation of the mount. I discovered shortly after installing the mount that the looseness of this nut was the cause of phone wobble. This was a “user” mistake.I am super impressed with the design and quality of this product.

Good, but a bit limiting.
I have an old mount from maybe 2016 that has held up amazingly well, so I decided to get the latest version for my new car.I like the long arm for having options to mount it, but I wish the holder could rotate further back. As it is, the arm has to be pointing right at you, you can’t fold it down and then rotate the holder to point sideways against the arm. It’s a bit limiting, because I was hoping I could use the arm to lift the phone in front of the air vent for cooling, but if I do that it points the phone at the ceiling. However, the suction cup is just as sticky as the one we’re still using in the other car, so once you find a place to mount it it isn’t going anywhere.

Works very well
The Easy One Touch 5 CD Slot Mount – Universal Car Phone Holder from iOttie works very well. I had been using a CD Slot Mount magnetic holder from Koomus which I have been very pleased and satisfied with, but when I got a newer phone and case it turned out it was a little too heavy for the magnet to hold securely, so I went this way instead. I did not rate the Suction Power or Adhesion as neither of those characteristics apply to a CD slot mount holder. However, I was concerned about the fit of this one, and it does fit the CD slot in a 2009 Subaru Legacy very nicely and snugly without having to use the supplied extra “wedge” thing. It does hold the heavier phone very steadily and securely even with a thick case that has a built in kick-stand extending from the back. The side arms snap in as soon as the phone presses slightly against the trigger pad gripping the sides of the case well with no effort or thought by me. They also open to release the phone with a very light and natural touch on the release bars, no awkwardness at all. The only thing that prevented my awarding a 5 star rating is that the feet bars at the bottom are not adjustable and may obstruct access to some features on some phones (on mine the headphone jack is blocked, for instance). Also the side arms are not adjustable in the vertical distance from the feet, and could block access to buttons or switches on the phone (no problem on mine, but I was concerned about that since my phone’s fingerprint reader is on the side – I had gone to a brick-and-mortar store to check the fit before ordering). Kudos to iOttie on their innovative packaging which allows you to thoroughly check out the item and even test fit your phone without removing the product from the package or damaging the package in any way. Also the small magnetic power charger cable managing tab is a nice touch to be included with the holder, and it works nicely.

Hold my phone perfectly.
I needed something that was long enough to reach my windshield around my dash. This fit the bill. It can be turned at different angles as needed and it has an arm on it that can be extended out. Once you get it where you want it, you can tighten each moveable part so it stays at that angle each time. The suction on the windshield seems very strong. So far so good even in cold weather. I didn’t use the adhesive. I especially love that your cell phone “snaps” into the holder to stay secure. Nice quality.

Kind of useful for awhile
It had been useful but it is not for your smartphone if it has a protective case. Because in Indy there is no straight roads and there are bumpy roads. It is considered falling off but roads aren’t to blAme. This product is missing durability to being strong against the driver driving through roads that curve and some will have bumps. The little ball is missing some parts or something to have it to connect. It is good for the dashboard but it isn’t sturdy enough for driving with bumpy non straight roads.

Best phone mount I have owned
This phone mount has a sticky backing on the suction cup preventing it from dropping off the windshield during hot months. It is also very convenient to push on the button with the phone to cause the mount to grab the phone on the sides. My wife had an old one that you had to hold the phone into and squeeze the sides of the mount. She loves how easy this one is to use. It is also very adjustable to get the perfect position.

Very stable, adjustable.
Best ever. Holds the phone stable around sharp turns. The adhesion to the window is superb. It does of course leave marks on the window so you’ll probably want to wipe your window down with cleaner more often than you do now. Its a little struggle to peel off, but I guess that’s needed for it to have a strong adhesion. If you’re going to remove it every day, this might be a headache. Its very adjustable, and I suppose if you make a lot of adjustments, then the plastic’s going to break. For $20, I don’t care. At this price, replacing it once a year would be worth it. If you want a windshield holder, this is it. Since I just use it a few times a month, I believe it will last several years.

Okay
I do like this product but it’s not as good as people claim. I have a normal size phone and it doesn’t clip onto it easily. You kind of have to shove the phone in it hard to get it to close because there’s a part you have to push behind your phone to get it to latch on. If you don’t do it quick enough it kind of grabs on slightly where your phone could still pop out. It’s also bigger than what I was thinking compared to the size of my small car. All that being said I still like it.

iOttie Easy One Touch 6 CD slot car phone mount.
I received this on 09/21/23 and installed it and used it on the road today for the first time. However, I cannot insert the mounting bracket into the CD slot as far as shown on the pictures. It seems secure enough, but it bounces like a beach ball unless the road is perfect. (Ha! you say.) The bouncing is a problem when trying to make the slightest adjustment to the screen or even the tilt because it can throw off your aim and you can end up completely out of the map app.The user is supposed to straighten the mount while inserting it, and I did as much as I am capable, but perhaps it is not enough. The instructions say “…you may need to press down on the top rubber support when inserting the mounting bracket.” I will…as soon as I grow a third arm and hand to do that while lifting the sides of the bracket with the two hands I have..The swivel and tilt is nice. It blocks the clock/radio display, which I expected. Depending on the type of phone you have, you must experiment a little with the location of the bottom feet otherwise the locking arms will block the phone volume adjustment buttons. In fact, before I adjusted the feet, the arm pressed hard enough that it lowered the volume so much I couldn’t hear it.Overall, I am ambivalent about this mount. I think it might have been smarter to order the older version 5 that has three tabs for the part that goes into the CD slot. I can’t return the one I have, though, because I need to use it right away, but I may order version 5 when I get home again.Best of luck!

Great mounting system for smart phone in the car!
Of all the smartphone car mounts I have used this iOttie brand is by far the best! Many different mounting options make this a worthwhile purchase. Easy to install and use
I’ve had a couple different types of phone holders in the past but this one is by far my favorite. I have bought it twice already. There is sticky residue on the bottom of the suction cup that makes it extra secure, wherever you put it. You just peel and stick the holder. The only con is once you pick your phone holder’s location you can’t change it.

Works!
After having bad luck with magnetic & suction mount devices, I tried this one on recommendation of a friend. She was right! Quick easy click-in phone attachment. Due to vibration of driving & weight of the phone, the angle and positioning of the phone needs to be re-adjusted & tightened but that is easily done. It does block a little of the air flow from the vent, but it’s a small price to pay for knowing where to go. I’m happy.

Doesn’t work on 2015 Honda CR-V louvre vents (slips). The new One Touch *6* Air Vent seems to fix
The unit does not bind to the vent louvres on my 2015 Honda CR-V. The louvre point down under the weight of the holder with the phone, and in this position the holder clamp (along with the holder and phone) eventually slips off. It is not possible to tighten the clamp enough to keep it tightly bound to the louver. However the new iOttie Easy One Touch * 6 * Air Vent seems to fix this with a stabilizer that prevents reorientation of the slats.I already have an iOttie for my dash and it works great. This unit positions the phone much more conveniently: the phone is easily within reach, and easy to view. Alas, the phone and iOttie fall off after about 10 minutes of driving. I wish there was a more frictive version of the clamp.

Best window or Dash device to hold your Phone.
I have tried several of these devices to hold my cell phone when I’m using GPS to travel around the country and this one is best one in my book to use. It fits securely on windshield of your vehicle and extends out to arms length so you can adjust your cell phone in address your trying to find plus it automatically closes on your cell phone to keep it in place while your traveling over the pot holes in road . Just buy it you want be disappointed!!

So far so good
I bought a wallet style case for my phone and the vent holder that I’d been using just wouldn’t support that case. We had one similar to this in the car that my husband uses but he prefers a windshield mount which is too far way for me. This one is mounted on the dash and I can rotate a bit depending on whether I’m driving or in the passenger set. Seems like it’s going to work out well.

The best one I’ve found
I gave tried all the different holders. This is the best. Sturdy, strong, easy. Everything about this is great. Holds on n to the vent securely. Easy to just clip your phone in and out of. Doesn’t flop down when you go over a bump. This was a gift for my wife. Now I need one.

Love this Unit
I’m on my 4th one over the years. Long arm and sturdy. I use mine on my windshield on a F-250. It will eventually melt from the intense summer sun living in Florida. The great thing is that it still wont fall off. It just melts to the wind shield. That bothers me so I replace. I use the old ones with minor fabrication all over my home. One on my Peloton bike. I use them on my kids computer desks holding the phones. Things like that.

Pleasantly Surprised (CD Mount)
My gf bought the adhesive dash mount version and loved it so she sent me the link- I saw that I could get a CD slot version and after reading reviews that seemed promising, I decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first but since it’s free returns I figured wth. I am so happy with it- you don’t have to deal with cleaning, positioning, sticking, hating it, trying to unstick and restick. With this one you just insert into the CD slot and (very nicely, don’t brute force it) push the bracket up to secure the plates inside the slot. I definitely recommend reading the directions, it’s really only 3 steps but the way it secures isn’t obvious. The part the phone sits in is easy to adjust, it holds the phone tight(I have an iphone SE 3rd gen) and is easy to release/secure. I prefer this over the traditional mounts because the location is just a quick right glance to see your phone(at least where my cd slot is) and my right hand only has to move an inch away from the wheel if I need to tap and I can easily have my left hand still on the wheel. I haven’t had any issues with it loosening or with glare so far. I did notice that if you have a somewhat shaky car at certain speeds your phone will shake along with it, but for me this isn’t an issue. If I’m using gps I won’t be going that fast when looking for directions and it hasn’t distorted the view so far. I have a popsocket detachable wallet on the back of my phone case that I do remove when placing it in the mount for a more secured hold. My phone does block the radio screen but I can still adjust the volume knob- for older folks who actually need to see the radio, this may be a con but for me, I’ve always used a bluetooth connection and use my phone for music, so it doesn’t affect me. With free returns I’d definitely give this a try if you think adhesive mounts or cupholder mounts aren’t working out for you. I’m really impressed with this.

Decent, though barely fits/holds a Google Pixel 8 Pro
I’ve owned two of these over the years, both bought through Amazon, and for the price point, it’s excellent. The plastic may feel a little cheap, and the suction cup is best removed from the pad that is included on hot, sunny days, but both held up well, and one is still doing well, in regards to the abuse I put the unit through. The only downside is that, with phones getting wider, I might have to replace it with a different product, assuming this doesn’t get, or hasn’t been, revised.

Well, it holds the phone securely but I haven’t been able to insert it into cd slot.. must be a stuck cd in there..I’ve tried all the suggestions on YouTube to get it out but can’t.. what do I do now?

very solid, no complaints!
i’ve been using this thing for a couple weeks now and have no regrets. it’s firmly on my dashboard and i don’t have to worry if my phone’s gonna slip out of the holder while i’m driving like any of my friends’ various holders. can’t complain, especially at this price point!

The mounting plate is pretty much useless
I put the mounting plate on a clean flat surface and after two days it started to fall off. I was able to get it off the base and stick it by just the suction and the adhesion on the stand its self.

Would recommend
This was exactly what I expected. It was easy to mount and easy to adjust. All around it’s been great. The only thing is if you use pop sockets (or something similar on the back that makes your phone thicker) than it doesn’t hold it well. I’ve been using it for quite a while now and I’m very pleased and would recommend.

Highly Recommend!!
I bought this 2 years ago and, to this day, it is the only car mount phone holder that I’ve never had issues with. After testing different styles and brands, this is the only one that did not lose its adhesion or suction. It was easy to adjust as needed. Because of its design, you can also arrange its position in a way that does not block your field of view while driving, or your AC air flow. It was also easy to put your phone in/take it out the phone stand itself. At times it was a tad bit of a hassle. However, that was rare. My primary focus is stability and security. This absolutely satisfied that need/requirement. Even when putting your phone into the mount or taking it out, it did not impact the adhesion itself. This is a major factor I look for as it’s been a consistent problem with other mounts before and after I found this mount. I used to DoorDash and wish that I had bought this mount. The other mount I had caused problems that I never would have had with this mount. Unfortunately, I left it in a car I rented to travel to California, so I no longer have it. However, it still exceeds my expectations after many trials with many different mounts. This is by far the best and for an affordable price.

Thus far – thus good
Had Costco holder; however, due to having to place magnet in center on back of phone, was too low putting pressure on charge cord port of phone when charging. Had this unit for approx one week. Plastic mounting base would not stick to my dash; consequently, I had to mount to my windshield which is no probs. With arm extended, it places phone much closer to me for ease of use. I also like auto-clamping mechanism. Seems decent thus far.

Great CD Smartphone Car Mount
The Iottie Easy One Touch 5 CD Smartphone mount was easy to install in my 2007 Hyundai Elantra. It fit perfectly in the CD slot and allows me to view my phone safely in portrait and landscape. You can also adjust the viewing angle easily. I will definitely order additional mounts as gifts for friends and family members. It’s an awesome product!

The last great phone mount…..
I have tried a half dozen. These guys do a good job. It could extend longer, or have the option to swivel more, but it is still very good, and does NOT degrade easily under the hot sun.

Great phone holder!
I secured this phone holder to my front window in the car. It stays in place, does not obstruct my view & is easy to follow my gps hands-free!

Stays where you put it
I’ve had a holders for my smart phone in the car before, and all of them seem to have difficulty holding the heavy device in the position desired. This unit stuck to the glass and has had no difficulty remaining position where it was originally placed. I have the arm extending out toward me directly in front of me, and it holds the phone slightly up without continually losing its tension and falling to the dashboard.

Easy to montage! Clicks in easy!
Easy to put together! Click in and the phone stays there.I have a camera under my DC player. First when I put it up I was not able to see the camera. So I turned the whole thing around and it works perfectly now. Got it yesterday. Hope the “clic in mechanics” is not waring out fast. Great product.
