Perfect fit!
I really like how they fit and purchased at at great price compared to other jeans! Didn’t have to take a cab and spend extra money to find an Alteration shop to have them hemmed either! I will probably buy another pair while they are on sale! They are a true black and not too heavy or thin they are just perfect! Totally recommend these jeans!!!

Giving a 4 star, BUT . . .
Comparing to my old jeans (Amazon, Nov 2021, 3rd image), exact same brand, style, color and product #s, these new ones (images 1 and 2) look almost as old, even sporting the creases at the top of the thighs like one gets after sitting in trousers. And, specifically, they looked like they’d been worn once or twice, maybe washed and ironed. However, they are marked down 39% and they fit perfectly just as the old ones do. Just to make sure I was comparing apples to apples, I went to look at my order from November 2021. Amazon doesn’t let you do that. (They let you see that you bought the product before, but they only show the current price because you bought the item “twice”. In all probability, they are just marked as 39% off, but probably were last time as well. I can’t know that for sure.)The only functional nissues are1) zipper quality is poorer, the new one is a bit harder to zip–teeth sticking. Note that the zipper ID # is different from the old.2) could just be a fluke–the button hole is slightly too small making it very difficult to button the waist. Easily fixed.Because I have been happy with the old ones, and just wanted a newer more “crisp” pair, I went ahead and gave the 4th star for these. As for the poor ladies who bought the black… I can’t believe what happened to you! That is just horrible and I wonder if the manufacturer put bleach in the washing of them–bleach breaks down material.

Finally…
I do not like skinny jeans. These jeans have a nice tapered but not skinny leg. It is great with any boot or shoe. These jeans are flattering and fit me so well and are slimming. They are a high rise jean, but you will not have any muffins with these.

Very good Jeans
I have worn Lee Jeans for many years. They are the only Jeans I could find that havre the perfect fit for me. They are well made and never disappoint. I was looking for a pair in Black so looked on the Lee web sight.I ordered them and waited for delivery, it took 1 month for them to be delivered. I went round and round with customer service without any help. In the mean time I looked on Amazon and found the exact same jeans for less than half the price as Lee.com. I ordered from Amazon and received my jeans 2 days later! They were perfect. When I finally received the jeans from Lee I returned them for a refund.Lesson learned.

I love the fit and look of these jeans. The only draw back is that the pockets are too small to hold a phone or much else.

Sort-of an ok replacement for my KMart Basic Editions womens short jeans
I have been wearing KMart Basic Editions womens short (not petite) jeans forEVER. I liked that they were on the less thick/heavy side and had a stretch without becoming over-stretched. I especially liked that they sat just below the belly button in the front but sat high enough up in the back that they were almost at the waist and didn’t slide down my butt when I knelt or bent over. I found that they wore fairly well and washed well (I’ve worn them to do yard work and gotten them really dirty). I have been every size from 18 down to 6 (and up and down again and again) and still have been able to get my size in SHORT length. I especially liked that I could get them at regular price for under $20, sometimes on sale from $10-13. Unfortunately, they seem to be going the way of the dinosaur and so I’ve been forced to search for a replacement. I have been having a really hard time because I want a thinner material, in SHORT, sitting just at the waist (not mid-rise), straight but not tight, with some stretch, and with good-sized pockets, and a price that is reasonable. I can’t wear Gloria Vanderbilt (they’re just too tightly cut in every size); I find Dickies too “industrial”-looking and the material too heavy; in many store brands the material is too heavy or not stretchy enough and most don’t come in short in a cut I like.Add to all this that I’ve been trying to buy online because I need jeans and the pandemic has resulted in a lot of store closures.I read a lot of reviews for many brands and finally settled on trying Lee.I am currently a size 6 (at the large end of the size range), but depending on cut and stretch could be an 8; short (not petite) length (29 inch inseam). I am 5’2″, 132 lbs (but this fluctuates upward) and carry weight a little bit more at my waist and hips.I was on the fence as to whether to give the Lee jeans 3 or 4 stars, but since I just ordered a second pair I think it’s only fair to give 4 stars. With that said, they are the best replacement that I’ve found so far for my KMart jeans, but they are by no means comparable. Here’s why: 1. The waist band is fairly thick and it bunches at the button when I sit down, sticking me in the belly button and giving me the dreaded sweaty waist. 2. The jeans material itself has some stretch (not so much in the waist) but the material is a heavier weight than the KMart jeans–perhaps more of a mid-weight material. For some this might be a plus but on a hot (80 degree), humid, sunny day, the Lee’s are definitely hard to wear comfortably, whereas I had no issue with my old KMart jeans. 3. Some reviewers commented on the minniscule front pockets and they weren’t kidding. If I still had my old flip phone I would have to turn it sideways to get it in; it won’t fit an iPhone. The front pocket needs a reality check and a redesign. But given my limited jeans options, I put up with it. 4. Others would consider $23 or so reasonably priced, but for jeans that I am going to beat up (gardening, cleaning the house, getting bleach and stains on them, etc.) I really want to have a good chance of paying under $20 and I couldn’t get there (I had to hunt around to find them for $23-ish).Now for the good points: 1. They do not ride down my butt in the back (the way mid-rise jeans with stretch do on me), but instead stay firmly at my waist. This is the first pair of jeans out of the ones bought in my replacement “quest” that stayed put. 2. They have a small amount of stretch but did not stretch out in the washer and dryer (hot and hot settings). 3. They come in SHORT (petite is the wrong cut for me). When the stores reopen I will give up the on-line search in favor of trying on jeans in the stores, but for now these Lees are as close as I can get to my old Basic Editions jeans–sort-of.I hope this review helps anyone else hunting for replacement jeans.

They Do Get Baggy
These jeans are comfortable and gray is a nice change from blue jeans. After wearing for a while, they do bag at the thighs but because they are comfortable, I have kept them.

Great fit
Great fitting jeans! I washed on cold and delicate setting in the dryer and no shrinking. They were softer after washing. There is extra thin fabric between the pockets and zipper that help smooth the tummy area (same fabric as inside of the pockets & you hardly notice it’s there).

Perfect for me.
I love that these jeans which are long enough and are not high water. The company provides specific measures so you don’t have to guess what length to buy. Small, Medium, Large, XLarge are too vague and vary with most brands.

Reasonably priced and very attractive jeans
Would have given a 5 star but upper leg area a little looser fit although love the dressier look without contrast seams and advertising tags. Short length great for 5’4 and below!

small size, tall length
I have no idea why manufacturers think that smaller size women are always short. That is not always the case! I am 5’7″ and wear size 2L. Have so much trouble finding pants long enough even though I am not that tall. These jeans fit very well! I have purchased them in 2 colors and will buy again.

Sizing off.
I’m 5’1″ and weigh 108 lbs. A size 8 short usually fits perfectly. I found these jeans to be rather on the snug side, and the short length nearly 4″ too long.

Perfect!
I usually buy more expensive jeans but, after trying these, I’m hooked. They are actually really well made. High cotton content. Don’t stretch out throughout the day so they look great all day. Perfect fit honesty. And very cute! Totally worth it!

Comfortable and looks great
These jeans are perfect. I normally wear a size 4 or 6 – I bought the 6 which is a bit large on me. Not large enough to return it but if I order them again, I will order a 4. Even with them a little large they still fit good and look great. I am 5′ 3″ and weight 110 lbs. And the length is just at / a bit below my ankle.

NOT 100% Cotton as described…still happy with them though
5’4″, 120 lbs, usually wear a size 6 short but bought an 8 short so they would be baggy/comfortable. I purchased these because they were described as “100% Cotton.” The tag says they’re 80% cotton, so I was disappointed about that. But they fit well, are comfortable, are a perfect length, and were well priced. I am happy with them and would buy them again.

Won’t buy again
The pockets are small. About half the size that they normally are. The length was short. However I had to roll them up 4 inches. I am 5’3” so they should have been fine. Now I will have to pay to get them altered. The waist is low. I hate worrying about plumbers butt if I bend over. The fit on my legs was fine.

PERFECT FIT
Everything I find in the local stores are skinny jeans, and I can’t seem to find just a “normal” pair of jeans. I’ve always hesitated to purchase clothes online, as fit is usually an issue. Not with these however. I was blown away how great they look. I ordered 12 short. I’m 5’2″ @ 138 lbs. They were perfect fit with boots, probably a little long with flats. But the look is classic, and that’s what I was looking for. Will probably buy a second pair.

Photo is a cheat but the pants are ok
Obviously the jeans in the picture were pinned behind. The legs are wide. I prefer them just short of skinny jeans personally which is exactly what they look like in the photo. If those pants aren’t pinned behind her legs, I’ll eat mine! I mean the pants not my legs. That said they are technically straight. I bought black ones and I’ve bought black ones in the past and they do fade unfortunately. I will wash these in cold and hope to be able to fool people that they are dress pants rather than jeans that aren’t blue because that’s as dressed up as I get! Please note that the blue color I bought prior had very wide legs and I had to return them. The black ones aren’t as wide as least the ones I received.

SHORT does not mean Short enough for short girls/women.
The pants in 14 short fit the way 12 short fit in other styles by Lees Jeans. They do have the waist and hip sizes almost accurate, But they are not short. It seems like the designers think we short women/girls all wear 5 inch espadrilles. We don’t. Some of us wear one inch or flat flats or are barefoot. So I have to pay someone else to correct the length. Manufacturers need to lower the price.

They do run big
I typically wear a 14 and have enough wiggle room to be able to pull them down without undoing the button and zipper. There are even bigger than that! I could do a 12 with some room! But, I love these jeans!

Perfect for me.
I have a hard time finding pants that fit and look like I like. I’m writing about Lee Women’s Instantly Slims Classic Relaxed Fit Monroe Straight Leg Jean. It’s a lot of words. I THOUGHT I had ordered Lee’s bootcut, which is what I used to wear years ago, for a couple of decades. I only say this because what I got was exactly the shape and feel I wanted. Also interesting, on the same day I ordered these and a pair of yoga/leggings, and followed the (wildly different) size suggestions already populated in the order for by some new AI process. Both fit perfectly.Just sayin.

These Lee jeans are the best fitting jeans I have EVER owned!!!!
Not only do they fit perfectly, they are extremely comfortable. The price was awesome! I have ordered 2 additional pairs and will probably order more very soon!!!! I am 5 ft 2 inches tall, so hard to purchase jeans the correct length. Kills my pocketbook to purchase jeans and then have to pay at least $20.00 to have a seamstress cut inches off the length to hem. The length of these Lee jeans are perfect!!!!!! Thanks Lee, I am one very, very, very happy old lady!!!

Country Where Manufactured Makes A Difference
I need high rise jeans (12 short). Mid rise jeans makes for a “muffin top”. My weight is 133, about 5′ or 5.1″ tall and carry my weight in the tummy area. I ordered all 6 colors and my assessment is the fit depends on which country the jeans are made in. The big difference I found between the jeans is the gapping in the back waist area. Ellis and Seattle (made in Bangladesh) I needed to return due to large gapping issues. The colors Inspire, Palisade and Heritage (made in Egypt), Black (made in Mexico), these I was able to keep. I hope this assessment helps any women who have gapping issues with jeans. The Try Before You Buy method was a plus.

Different colors seemed to be sized differently.
I purchased two colors, Seattle and Inspire Blue in the same size. I have noticed that the different colors don’t fit the same. Inspire Blue feels tighter than the Seattle color. Otherwise, I do like the jeans. They fir closer to my waistline as opposed to a mid rise.

Palisade color is not gray
These fit quite well, surprisingly, as often Lee jeans fit is not my favorite. The length was also good, as I ordered the long/tall version, and absolutely hate when they are too short.I was disappointed that the color was taupe and not light gray. This happens often when I order online, even with a label of gray…it ends up being taupe. That said, I can use that color in my wardrobe as well and ultimately decided to keep them.
