    Disappoint

    I LOVE small Technic sets. They always have amazing functionality packed in. While a snow cat isn’t exactly the most exciting item for playability, I really like when LEGO produces Technic sets that aren’t construction equipment. Unfortunately, every function falls short of what it could be.Build:It’s nothing exciting and I didn’t really feel like there was anything “clever” designed in as I built things. I have no idea why the front plow is oriented the way it is. It looks 1000x nicer mounted with the flat sides of the panels facing front. It’s trivially easy to flip around, but what a strange design choice.Playability:1. Often, the tracks don’t roll when pushing. This isn’t a new problem with LEGO tank treads in general. The designers made an attempt at a fix with a pair of rubber wheels that protrude just below the tracks. They were only included at the back though so they don’t always help when pushing the cat in certain ways, eg. pushing forward from the back on a wooden table. Four wheels and tires would have made rolling perfectly fine. There’s no apparent spaces for wheels at the front with this design but that shouldn’t have stopped them.2. Moving the “levers” for other functions isn’t easy. They stick too much and due to the set size the entire thing moves when trying to lift or rotate the plows. It really requires putting both hands on the set in very specific ways to operation things. It’s just awkward though. There’s not much range of motion for the plows. It might be a realistic amount, but it’s not a fun amount. They extend quite a bit below ground level, but only a few millimeters above ground.I’m really looking forward to building some of the alt sets on Rebrickable. I can’t imaging a less exciting, less functional, less fun use of these parts.

    Lego is always great

    This was good for kids ages 7+ for assembly. Our 5 yr old needed some help but for the most part was able to do it themselves.

    Great build!

    You can’t go wrong with Lego my kids and my husband love these building sets. My older kiddo likes the technic sets as they are more challenging for him. In the past they have been larger builds that were quite pricey, I was very excited to find this quick technic build that was very affordable. It is a unique design and my kiddo loved it!

    LEGO Technic Snow Groomer to Snowmobile

    Anything LEGO is great … at least in the eyes of my son. I purchased this as a Christmas present for my adult son who has an amazing collection of LEGO sets and I give him a couple of little ones every year (hope he does not have this one) — he buys the big sets for himself. After he opens his presents, we sit in front of the Christmas tree and put at least one little set together … this has become a tradition.

    Being used in a diorama

    My husband can’t wait to use for his diorama. This came promptly in the mail and the company should have put in a small box and not a mailer . The package came in squashed… but being Legos it survived.

    Fun, quick build

    My son wanted this Lego build so he could learn more about snow plows, lol. This reads 2in1 (two build options: snow plow or snow mobile), but only came with instructions for the snow plow. The box reads you need to go online for the snow mobile instructions.

    Tough but doable…

    What a great deal! This was bought for a 5.5 year old to build, with a little adult help they were successful and played with it all day. The tracks were a little tricky to connect but once we got the hang of a couple it was easy.
