Perfect pretend makeup set for a little girl and it’s nice quality and looks great on a short table for them to look in the mirror. My daughter loves the little “salon guide” book that comes with it too. I think it’s perfect for many different ages.

This is a “pretend” make up set.
I was surprised that it was pretend make up, guess I did not read the small print! I ordered a Princess make up set to go with it so my granddaughters were very happy! The dressing table is very sturdy with a nice mirror, the drawer is really not very usable because it does not open enough to keep anything in it.Very nice !

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my niece who loves getting dolled up. She’s had make up for kids and kid nail polishes and my sister said that it can get really messy and it goes all over the place (let’s just say her dolls faces are now blue). This was a really good alternative since everything is made out of wood (even the makeup part). It is well made and comes with a lot of items (even a hair straightener). It is a good size too and I think my niece will enjoy it for a long time.Her face lit up when she opened it and couldn’t wait to use it. She loves giving me makeovers when I come over. BEST GIFT EVER = BEST AUNTIE EVER🥰

Adorable makeup kit for your Princess Diva
This was the biggest hit I gave my two grand daughters, 3 and 18 months this Christmas!! They couldn’t get enough of “putting pretend makeup, nail polish, perfume, blowing drying & flat ironing their hair, putting on lotion, lipstick, etc. Two little princesses! Guess they’ve been watching Mommy? Who knew of ALL their gifts this would be the favorite? The only problem was for once they didn’t want to share. The oldest kept wanting to push the youngest away, telling her “bad baby,” not letting her play? When usually it’s always “my baby.” Lol! Kids can be so funny about their toys when they have a new favorite. Too bad Daddy says DeDe can’t buy another one 🙁 Highly recommend for the little Princess divas your life👸🏻👸🥰😘

Perfect for Playing Pretend
My daughter has been begging for her own makeup for months; because she’s only 4 I didn’t want to get her real makeup. This was perfect though. She spends hours playing dress up with this. Whenever I’m getting ready for the day she rushes in to her room and “gets ready” too.

Best loved gift
This was my 2 1/2 year old grand daughter’s favorite gift. She did everyone’s hair and make up on Christmas and once this was opened it was the only thing she played with. Lots of pieces and realistic looking to a 2 year old.

Awesome gift for my almost 5 year old daughter!
This may be the Christmas gift she has played with the most! She loves giving us makeovers, even daddy! The tools are great with a flat iron the opens and closes just like the real thing. The makeup brush is extremely well made (probably better than some drug store brands!) The vanity is sturdy and seems like it will last a long time, and my kids aren’t easy on toys. Once again Melissa and Doug have created an amazing, affordable toy that won’t be boring in a week! I would recommend for kids between the ages of 3-7. Would give 10 stars if I could!

2.5 Year Old is Obsessed
My 2.5 year old Daughter is absolutely obsessed with this set. I let her open early for Christmas, because I couldn’t contain my excitement and the set did not disappoint. My Daughter literally played with it for like 2 hours straight! It’s now her favorite toy and it keeps her entertained for hours. And it’s a great way to bond with my Daughter too as she pretends to do my makeup and loves to indulge in her creativity and imagination. Her 2 cousins (2 and 7) were also immediately drawn to the toy and kept wanting to play with it. $40 seemed a little pricey for me at first, but it’s probably the best toy purchase I’ve ever made and thank goodness it’s not just a bunch more plastic toys that will just go to waste. Only fault is that the eyeshadow paint quickly has chipped away, but I mean she’s 2.5 so it’s really not that big of a deal… I guess just something to consider if ever looking to improve the product.

So great! Just don’t lose any pieces
My daughter had been eyeing this up for months and was so excited to get it for Christmas last year. Unfortunately she lost the spray bottle which was one of the coolest pieces. When I checked with Melissa and Doug to get a replacement they were very apologetic but they are unable to replace pieces. So keep a close eye on them!!

Worth It
Bought for my 3 year old niece as a birthday gift because she loves to sit with me while I do my makeup and play with my stuff, perfect no mess solution for toddlers who are interested in makeup! The vintage look to it is so cute and the vanity is such a good size, my brother and sister in law have no more space for big play sets so I wanted to get her something that could be easily stored and this is perfect. She absolutely loves it and played with it immediately and for a good long while lol. Will update my review after sometime to let everyone know how durable it is, although I will say my niece is very gentle and not very destructive (hence why I let her play with my real makeup) so my review might not be the best to go by if your little one is rough. But overall I highly reccomend this cute set!

Quality pretend play set, gets more use than expected!
My 4 year old daughter LOVES this and I am frankly surprised because it’s wooden it doesn’t add color to skin or anything else. I thought the real judge would be disappointed, but she couldn’t care less, for she loves to pretend play with this entire set. The mirror has a sort of wavy reflection but the kiddo doesn’t mind a bit. I love how much she plays with all the parts, uses it for her, her dolls, and doll head. The drawer is large enough to hold a few extra items. Quality wood toy, plenty of parts for lots of play.

Unfortunately, when I took off the tape that was on the cardboard picture that was on the mirror top right ,the tape on the back took off a piece of wood with it! It also looks like there was some previous “patchwork” done on sesame area.

Well Made!
My kid still enjoys this toy at 7 years old. Our child still enjoys pretending and dressing up. So its serves well for teaching good grooming habits and playing beauty/nail salon. Extra Credit: Get a cash register for undercover math element. The overall structure is what I’ve come to expect from Melissa and Doug. The mirror is a play mirror, so the image is a little wonky (but not terrible) Parents don’t have to worry about breaking glass. Kid keeps multiple nail polishes and manicure accessories in the little draw. Great overall. I just wish it was offered in other colors.

No harmful material and super fun!
My 2 1/2 year old absolutely loves this set. The entire kit contains everything a little girl would want: blow dryer, make up kit, nail polish, hair straightener, comb, mirror, lotion (all fake made of wood of course), but great for pretend play. I also love that this is made of non-harmful material like some other toys so i know it’s same for my child.Also a great gift for anyone that would love a play set like this.

Great gift for your little girls <3
My kiddos LOVE this. (ages 2 & 3) it seems sturdy enough. The pieces are simple and wooden which I love vs. many pieces and plastic. It seems pretty durable. My only complaint would be that the top of the vanity had an obvious crack that was painted over. This may not be the case with all of these. I don't want to put up with the hassle of replacing.

Unimpressed
This is honestly the first Melissa and Doug product I’ve been dissatisfied with. I wanted to love this set so much, but it is very poorly designed. The intentions that hold the products are not deep enough. All the pieces get knocked off and fall down every time we play with it. The drawer is also shoddy workmanship. It barely opens and gets stuck constantly, which then knocks all the pieces off. I’m very sad, because Melissa and Doug products are our favorite, but this one really missed the mark.

My almost 2 year old LOVES this little wooden vanity set. She has played with it daily for over 2 weeks. We have a large vanity where we do hair and makeup so I think shew as already interested in this type of play before we got the set, which helped I’m sure. It is such a great toy though! She has found fun ways to play with everything outside of what they were made for which makes it double as an open-ended toy for us. So durable and easy to clean. I honestly have no complaints.

Definitely worth the purchase
Bought this for my one year old. She absolutely loves it. Its very durable and cute to look at. I have seen this set in stores before and always debated but its usually pretty pricey (as in twice as high as on amazon). So when I saw the price tag on here I immediately ordered it and I’m so glad that I did. She plays with it constantly. It really is a cute little set up

This item is so adorable! Got this for my 16month old for Xmas and it’s probably her favorite toy. Her 3 year old brother sits next to her and plays sometimes too. My daughter loves how the cap on the cream can open and shut the bottle of perfume you can actually use the pump. I love that’s it wooden too. She also got extra play makeup and she keeps that in the little draw as well (she loves opening the draw taking stuff and putting it back in as well). This will be my go to gift now for little girl bday parties!

Perfect for the little girlie-girl in your life
I bought two of these for each of my 2 yr old granddaughters for Christmas. It was the only toy I bought them and I can proudly say it was their favorite. It was so much fun watching the older one trying to read the spa menu in the drawer, decide what she wanted to do and carefully place it back, then proceeding to put the makeup on me or do my hair.I love that it was constructed so well, with minimum plastic so everything was so sturdy. I know this toy will last a long time.

Worth the price
I love this mini makeup vanity for my little ones she love it. She’s been playing since Christmas Day. It very thoughtful and thought thru out with small toddlers and kids in mind. Well made and it’s like the real thing without the mess!!! You can open the lotion bottle, the nail polish and the lipstick cap comes off. The blow dryer has a push button to hold it like the real thing. I’m glad I bought it!!! Fast shipping too!!!

Daughter is OBSESSED
I ordered this at sale price ($30) and very pleased. Not sure if I would pay full price or even more than $45. I will say good quality tho, I know sets that are still around years later. My 3 year old plays with every single piece that came with this, and she loves putting extra stuff in the drawer. I’ve seen some beauty salons/vanities with lights, but I don’t feel like we are missing those at all. I’d order again and get this (at the $30-45 price points) before considering anything else.

My 3 year old loves it. As soon as she opened I notice it has chipped paint, some of the wood looks warped, and it was extremely dusty for being wrapped in plastic. Definitely has imperfections, for $40.

My daughters favorite toy!
I went with this one over the more affordable plastic versions out there and I am so glad I did! It has held up super well since she has four brothers who like to mess with it sometimes and not always the most gentle. She plays with it almost every day and beauty salon is our new fun daughter mother game together. The little toys that it comes with are so cute. Definitely recommend for four year olds and up!

Beautiful and perfect for toddlers.
It’s perfect for little girls! My 2 year old loves it. Every single piece is perfectly crafted and made out of wood. The only bad thing is that our brush came cracked and we don’t feel like returning the whole vanity because of one piece. This vanity keeps my daughter occupied for a while. Completely recommend!

Arrived with plastic wrapping ripped. It was in a box with 2 other items. One item was dmashed since it was on the bottom. This is heavier so it did not smash but packaging/plastic ripped.

One of my daughter’s favorite toys
My 18 month old daughter took interest into my makeup so I got her this set. I wasn’t sure how she’d like it, as she often rejects the toy version of things and wants the real thing. Not the case with this! She absolutely LOVES this. She is constantly putting “makeup” on herself, us, and the dog.Stuff is extremely durable. It has taken a beating and still looks practically new. Drawer is spacious and holds additional accessories. Despite the items being wooden, they have little features that make them “usable” like the nail polish lids coming off, spray bottle sprays, and the lotion top flips open. Great for imaginative play.

Cute but cracked
Pretty cute, love all the pieces and feel like nothing is really redundant or unnecessary, my 3 year old loves it! However, she’s had it for a day and already one of the “nail polish” bottles is cracked on both sides. Hopefully this is a fluke and the rest of the set won’t fall apart.
