Love it! Best upgrade yet 😉
With 5g, I can use my phone indoors again for calls and texts. Pics are crisp and charges quickly. For the price, Motorola did an excellent job on this phone.

Defective
The phone is pretty, the case is nice, however the phoneShuts down for no reason . It switches to do not disturb without being programmed. The screen goes black for no reason and will not power up. The company is baffled by these malfunctions and their only solution is to purchase a new phone.

This is the best phone in this low price range
Probably the best phone in 2023 if you are shopping for price/performance. I like everything on this phone, except it is a bit heavy.

I always had good experiences with Motorola phones
I’m sure this is a very nice phone. I’ve had Motorola’s before and always had good experiences with them. Unfortunately, AT&t does not support this model and it will not work correctly if you attempt to put a AT&t SIM card in it. After hours on the phone with AT&t tech support, I finally found someone who understood the situation. AT&t is rolling back the amount of phones that it allows on its network. Please be very careful with the phone that you buy and double check with AT&t on their site that the particular model is indeed compatible. And Amazon is not the only retailer who will advertise AT&t phones as compatible but aren’t. Best buys also has Motorola phones that they claim to be AT&t compatible but actually are not. Read the fine print carefully. Moto g. 5G power is not really the model number of the phone. You have to dig deep into the legal information of the phone to find out exactly what the real model number is to be able to cross reference it with the AT&t compatibility chart. And unfortunately, for those who were looking to buy 2023 model phones, AT&t has not updated their compatibility chart since November of 2022. Which to me in terms of technology is a very very long time.

Short Changed, Missing Charger.
Comes in cute little box, no room for charger. Battery life is worst that advertised 16/17 hours at best. Had Motorola’s in the past; always pleased, should have passed on this one.

I Can Hear The People That I Call, But The Call Quality Is Too Poor For Them To Understand Me
This phone looks nice, but I quickly found that when I make a call, I can hear the person on the other end fine, but they usually can’t hear me well enough to understand what I am saying. The people that I have called say that they can understand about about every other word or so. So, I can’t hold a real conversation on this phone, which defeats the purpose of having it. The people that I call say that the sound breaks up very badly. It looked like such a nice phone, but turned out to be a huge disappointment.

Nice phone with just what I need
I love this phone. I had a 2019 Moto g 7 power before and was needing to replace it with something a little faster. I loved my G7 but this phone has all that I love and then some.

Very good phone for the money
This is a good phone. The price was key factor in my buying decision along with past positive experience with Motorola phones.Despite the website indicating a power adapter is included, there is no power adapter included. It needs to be purchased separately ( ~$10). It does include a USB C cable and SIM eject pin.

Not sure if it’s worth the money
It’s a nice phone but it’s garbage sim card slot keeps bugging out like crazy an when trying to play games it will crash or restart for no reason at all an for some reason it acts like it wants to unlock itself on its own ever so often because the screen turns on by itself not sure why it’s a bit annoying it will do it while I’m sleeping or during the day an for some reason it doesn’t want to keep the wallpaper an setting I have set it keeps going to the default thing it’s getting annoying having to keep resetting it back to how I have it an as for the sim card slot issue it will also keep turning wi-fi off as well idk what’s wrong with this phone but it acts like it’s possessed an I don’t think it reads my SD card either ever so often it ask to reject it at this point any phone I get from Amazon is garbage I’m better off just getting a new phone from a carrier because I bought this phone new and for some reason it’s having issues which I don’t understand I I could see if it was refurbished or used but this is a brand new phone so I don’t understand why it’s having issues this has happened with the last 2 phones ive got from Amazon I’m not trusting Amazon anymore when it comes to electronics not worth the money ill have to go elsewhere if i want a new phone again :/

A Great Phone for Its Price
I’m a devout Moto user and have had the G Power for my last two phones just for the battery life. When it came time to replace my 2021 I was faced with a decision between this and my third Power. I really wanted the 6 GB of memory in the Power vs the 4GB in this model, but the consensus was that the G 5G was the overall winner. There’s lots of good updates to the OS, the display is clear and very smooth to the touch. Camera is fine (it’s not an iPhone), the speed is great, the sound is improved over my last one, and it’s pretty thin and light. It has acted funny a few times, but it’s rare. It bricked out while I was on a video call and I thought it was dead. It took several minutes before showing a boot screen then I restarted it. I’ll give it 97%, even though it forced me to install TickTock!

Attention BOOST customers!
I bought this on the Boost website where the best deals are.Motorola has been *my* brand of cell phone since the original Moto G.Always very long lasting w long battery life. When I used this phone, I would have to hold it up in the air…like the old (old!) days to get a signal. What happened!?As it happens..BOOST, in their wisdom, now uses the DISH NETWORK! Explains A LOT.BTW.. METRO and BOOST MERGED a year or two ago.THE PHONE IS FINE, BEWARE OF SERVICE PROVIDER.

Curious line in specifications.
“The dedicated Macro Vision camera brings you incredibly close to your subject, so you capture the tiny details you’d miss with a standard lens.” Funny, I thought that would be MICRO, meaning “Basic or small-scale.” Instead they insist that the camera can capture small, tiny details using MACRO, meaning “Large in scope or extent; large-scale.”I knew Motorola was good but not that damned good. How, pray tell, did they accomplish this feat?

Motorola Warranty support is questionable
I was generally a fan of Motorola but have had recent issues with warranty support for a modem which is under warranty but Motorola won’t/can’t send a replacement. I believe that the brand name may have been sold without ongoing support and I would fear the same thing could happen with a Motorola phone purchase.

No NFC (eg google pay) support
Terrible customer support. Hardware missing a crucial feature for an “up to date” android phone — no NFC which means you cannot use Google Pay or many other standard features. Sales force is completely misleading about this and refuses to correct their mistakes. Had been loyal to Moto series but I have soured now. This should not be marketed as a full-featured phone.

Moto Fan
Ordered the Harbor Gray GB Moto G and am very happy with this purchase. The price was right for a mid level phone with very good reviews and ratings across the web. Typically scene in the top 4 best phones under $300.00.Very user friendly, easy to set up. The graphics and sound are excellent during Pokemon Go gameplay.Sleek and modern beautiful design, the harbor gray reflects light exquisitely.I purchased a laptop cooling stand for $20.00 to help cool the phone; which gets warm during extended gameplay. Highly recommend.

Nice Features for the Money
I’ve had a Moto E for years and liked it, so when I started looking around for a new phone the G seemed a good place to start. Battery life is great and storage (128 GB) is more than I need. I use a limited number of apps in my day to day and believe it or not I still use my phone as a phone (to talk on…). No complaints here.

My third Moto, and they just keep getting better
I’ve had this phone about a week now, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It does everything I need it to do, it’s plenty fast, has a great camera, screen, and sound, etc. Just about everything automagically transferred from my Moto G Power in less than an hour. The only thing that drives me crazy is all of the bloatware that winds up getting installed that I have to turn around and remove or disable, but maybe that’s the norm now, I don’t know. This time at least it told me what it was going to do before it did it so I wrote everything down. That made it a lot easier to go in and remove it all. I’m on Mint Mobile, which I’ve also been really happy with, and it came right up. It looks like this phone is also slated to get Android 14 when it comes out. Also, I turned off Wi-Fi and immediately showed 5G+ so I decided to run a speed test. Holy moly! 450 mb down, 30 up, and that’s just sitting indoors. I have never owned anything that came even remotely close to that so that was really surprising. LTE for me was always around 40 or 50 meg. The other thing that’s pretty cool is the fingerprint reader being built into the power button. The only potential downside, like many Moto phones, is no NFC. It’s no big deal for me but it might be for some. And as many others have stated, no charger. I probably have a half a dozen 10 watt bricks so again, no biggie. I would not have paid retail for this phone, but the current sales are well under that and I think that makes it a pretty good deal.

The phone has a nice feel, but
The phone feels really nice, almost like an iphone.Judging from previous Moto phones, I’d say this should have good battery life also.Installation was a snap, but after rebooting, it wouldn’t accept my PIN. I’ve done many phone upgrades before, but this could have been my mistake. So I tried to do a factory reset (volume up/down and power). to start over again. It got to the ROM page but not option to reset. I just gave up at this point.

Not bad for the cost….
I’ll start with comparing aspects of this phone vs my old moto g fast which blew out the back of case so I got another moto but this time went for upping to a 5G phone. I don’t use my phones much mainly have them in case a tow is needed, other than that texting, getting notifications and taking pics/video is about it. The g fast had the fingerprint sensor on the back which was very convenient and the natural place to put it to touch the sensor as you held it in your hand and they should’ve done the same with this 5G, having it on the side is awkward plus it’s a very slim rectangle shape and set up took a lot of repeated touching, there’s only so many different parts of your finger to use as the phone kept saying to use different sections of it so the phone will recognize it. The camera is really good but the pics are large MB files, that could be due to you have a choice of using the phones auto settings or switching the photo settings to your own prefs. The phone is almost the same as the g fast except the camera lense is in center at top of screen. To shut down phone you have to press the volume up and fingerprint sensor also awkward to do. A lot of apps I’d never use I deleted and I used my SD card from the g fast, it took a bit of time to figure out how to get phone to let me transfer photos & video to SD card, the default is to internal storage and I had a lot of pics to transfer from g fast as well. It asked me at one point would I like phone to use the SD card for all my pics and video. Oddly enough Motorola doesn’t offer up any manual for this phone like they did for the g fast. No video app of course which makes zero sense to me. As near as I can tell it’s telling me to use Google Assistant with “my devices” TV, speakers etc. Took me a while to realize that a video I took with the g fast and played just fine on it and computer too, didn’t work on this phone it just played the audio with a black screen because it uses Google Photos? That’s lame and Google is a pain. The stereo is surprisingly good using anything but the speakers, could be my case is not helping that, and comes with Dolby Atmos, it’s a cell phone so get a good headset and avoid ear buds like the plague. Remember all the music on YouTube or Amazon is put up by people from who knows where they got it but a lot of it is really bad distorted crap and all the music apps in the world can’t help that. So if you’re looking for a reasonable smartphone that’s up to date and affordable then I suggest you buy this one.

My first 5g moto phone
Been using this phone since July, love it. Worked excellent overseas with verizon roaming plan. Switched to a low cost carrier and it still blazes fast on 5g network. Touch ID is perfect, haven’t been able to configure face ID but I don’t mind. i use an otterbox commuter case and probably drop it at least once a day. Shake flashlight and double click to open camera are features I have not experienced with other phones. The price scared me at first, i didn’t want to spend more than $200 but now glad I did.

Great budget phone!
My friend and I pondered, why buy an expensive phone when it will have to be replaced in so many years? I found motorola about five years ago and they have done me right. This was the easiest switch from old to new phone. I don’t need bells and whistles but I do like the extra memory. Calls, texts and camera are swell. It’s nice and thin, probably thanks to Lenovos influence. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very nice phone.
My husband’s 2 year old iPhone went haywire & he couldn’t hear anything, would go into SOS only & wouldn’t charge. I looked for a android phone & found the Moto g 5g (2023). After we received it, we charged it & transferred his stuff on iPhone to the new phone. He loves it, he didn’t need anything fancy, just a decent running phone. It charges fast, he likes the volume & sound. He is very happy with this phone. He refuses to go back to iPhone.
