Cheap
Cheap and poorly made. Pieces were falling off the minute I opened the package. My phone was too big for it but even using my husband’s phone it was hard to get the phone in there especially without a piece falling off and then the part that goes around the wheel doesn’t click closed very well and easily pops open dropping it from the wheel.

Awesome but cheaply made
Just like other reviews already mentioned, this product is badass but it’s cheaply made. The quality is something you would expect to find at Dollar Tree store and for that reason I think a reasonable price would be around $2. Unfortunately there isn’t any other design for this kind of phone holder idea so this product is the only one on Amazon u can get (there are other brands but I think they are still the same product) and this is ship and sold by Amazon.com so it has the best price on the market already. Just FYI, unless you use this for short distance driving and your phone don’t need to be charged, otherwise you would need at least 6ft long charging cable because if not for every sharp turns, the cable wont be long enough and it would pull either the charger off or the phone off. Also, I prefer to take off my case when I use this holder. I feel like it would be more gentle on the holder and easier to put the phone on.

Mount functions as expected; not sure how long the spring mechanism will last.
This review is for Reiko Car Steering Wheel Phone Mount – Retail Packaging – Gray – HLD07-GY.The steering-wheel phone mount was delivered promptly, as described by the seller and in a custom cardboard box on which instructions are printed. This is a simple device with a spring-loaded sliding latch which firmly grips the sides of a phone; it has an elastic strap which loops around the steering wheel and clips in place such that the phone is held in place by the strap. It is a one-handed operation to unclip the strap from the steering-wheel; two hands are needed to release the phone from the mount. The mount functions as expected; the phone will move around as the steering wheel is moved and is best viewed only when the vehicle is stationary. I am trying this out as an option for using the map function on my phone in an older vehicle that does not have an integrated dashboard display. I can use the voice-directions and then glance at the map when the phone is upright. I might choose to use an “alien tape” to fix this holder to the center of the steering-wheel so that it interferes less with driving. It does not appear to be very robust, so not sure how long the spring mechanism will last.

Is it worth $3.99 ?
Depends on how bad you need this widget and how much money you have to throw. I needed it for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and it wasn’t able to open up to the full width of the phone, so it was useless for me. Others with narrower and lighter phones may find that it works for them.I also found the materials and construction cheap, and of low quality. I have seen items of this type for this kind price that are better built, but generally speaking you get what you pay for, plus it didn’t work for me. Because of the price point, I think it would not be worth my time returning it, nor do I expect the seller to want it back before refunding.

Broke After Second Use
I used this mount on my steering wheel during breaks.During my first time using it, it worked great. It held onto my phone perfectly fine with no problems. The only problem was that the strap buckle wouldn’t come loose and took a lot of effort to unsnap it when I was done. When I went to use it the second time, the mount broke. The piece on the mount that the buckle latches onto just snapped right off, making the mount useless and had to be thrown into the trash.Save your money and time, go with a different brand

Cool idea!
I got this for the car since I drive my elderly mom around all over the place and spend a lot of time waiting in parking lots. It does it’s job really well, but the glue that holds the light gray rubber bits that grip the phone gave out and one of those slid off today. I can reattach it with a bit of my own glue easier than returning it for a replacement, but that is a manufacturer defect to watch out for. It fits our Volvo which has a pretty thick steering wheel. You can mount it so the phone is inside the steering wheel or upside down so the phone is on top, in your straight line of sight. The spring to hold the phone is good and tight so it will hold on to its precious cargo. If not for the glue, it would be 5 stars.

Super cheap but does the job
Good for use when parked. If you want your phone to sit on your steering wheel, this little gizmo is probably right for you. Do notice it is cheaply made and falls apart easily.

Not wide enough for iPhone 13 pro
It is barely wide enough for I 13 pro. I have the most slim case and I can barely get it in. It pops off or slings out after a bit of driving. The rubber feet both fall off constantly . Needs to be wider and the rubber ends need to be deeper /taller to hold the phone. Also why do the cushions just fall off?

Some sturdy, some flimsy
It’s cheap enough to not return, as it’s not worth doing so. Straight out of the box, two pieces fell off of the part that holds the phone. Glue will resolve the issue. Others have complained of the same issue. Maybe the seller could advise the manufacturer (?)

Not very sturdy
I through it out waste of money, didn’t fit either of my smart phones. Used it one time to hold my portable wifi unit first turn I made my hand hit it & my WiFi went flying! So in the trash it went! Wasn’t even worth my time to return it!

The rubber pieces that cradle the phone while off all the time. Would be better if they used an adhesive to hold them in place.

Exactly what I wanted, and working with Oneplus 9 Pro
I’ve used it on two trips in rental cars and this device works perfectly, and feels plenty strong. I’m using it with a large phone, Oneplus 9 Pro, and it fits fine. I see no issues with construction, and given the price, it’s well worth it.Yes you do lose the viewing space to see your gauges, but I can still see the speedo on the right of my phone, and truth is, I only use it for gps mapping, and my speed is indicated on Google maps, so it’s not an issue. The one issue I do have is if there are many close turns, then the turning off the wheel makes them difficult to see, but it’s rarely a hindrance and worth the space and visibility it offers.Elastic is strong and flexible, springs are strong, I’m happy with this product.

Love the product but
Don’t get me wrong. I loved the product but I didn’t contact the seller about my issue. I should have. The product broke when I began to turn quickly to avoid an accident and I hit my phone. It is a great idea. I positioned the phone so it was inside my steering wheel. Very easy to follow map directions. I will probably get another one but have been afraid I might break it also.

Does its job well; snaps off quickly when no longer needed…
Simple and effective so far, though I’ve only used it once. It snaps on and off easily and holds my old iPhone firmly. A simple device that fills that occasional need (I didn’t want nav on my Mustang, but once in a while you need a helping hand finding that pub or tavern). I think heavy use would wear out the rubber strap, but time will tell. I like that I can remove it and not hamper my steering wheel with it when it’s not needed.–W.D. Does not fit phone or steering wheel.
I have a leather wrapped steering wheel (factory) and it has to stretch past it’s outer limit to fit, it also does not open enough to hold a phone. Triple check the opening size as it isn’t the phone size listed.

Does what it is suppose to!
Fits great on the steering wheel. LG 8 ThinQ with rugged case. Use it on 10+ hour trips for GPS without issues of my phone falling out. I will say they should have glued the rubber pieces onto the slides. It makes getting the phone into a pain sometimes. That is my only complaint on the item.

Steering wheel compatible nice grip
I didnt like the product cause it only expands 3inches so my iPhone 7 Plus doesn’t work with this product however it does fit my gps and I had problems with the little suction cup always found it on the floor with this product my gps is more secure and i dont have to worry about continuously dropping my gps my gps now sits firmly on the steering wheel which makes more convenient and safer for me to stay safe on the road no more looking towards the windshield my gps is right in front of me and won’t end up on the floor has a real secure grip and it attaches nicely to the steering wheel without damaging the car soft rubber tips doesn’t damage the gps either

Perfect for its intended use
If used for what it’s intended for it’s perfect. I use it to watch movies on my phone while parked. It’s not meant to use while you’re driving like some of the negative reviews state. I have 1 in each of my vehicles. The first one lasted about 3 years before it snapped. For $5 I think it’s paid for itself many times over.

Phone holder Breaks on day one

Needs improvements
I really wanted to like this product however unless you have a big thick steering wheel it probably won’t work. You could probably wrap something underneath it but then the product doesn’t work like it should. Also the phone holder itself is small. I have a regular sized iPhone and it barely fits it Hass to be stretched nearly all the way.

Very unpractical device.
You may want to use this thing only when driving on an interstate highway on a road where you don’t have to turn much your steering wheel. Otherwise, your phone will swing up and down, which can distract you and cause an accident. In addition, this is only for small (4-5”) phones. No way that I recommend this device. It is a waste of money.

Very Good on steering Wheel cell phone holder
The holder was easy to put on the steering wheel and it holds the cell phone securely in place. I believe it is not for use while driving as its harder to steer your vehicle with the cell phone in the center of the steering wheel. Great for sitting watching videos and movies on your phone.

Best of Type But still not practical.
Significantly better designed than other steering wheel phone holders in that holder is stilf. (Only the strap that fixes the holder to the steerjng wheel is flexible. It still lets the phone swing when steering wheel/or car moves (down Michigan’s poor roads/streets) & blocks speedometer and/or other gages. Not practical.

yup…. it works.
The saying….. you get what you pay for represents this purchase. It’s cheaply made but it does hold my wife’s iPhone 5. I have a Samsung 5 with a mophie battery cover, and because it’s beveled back its not securely locked in. It works for the intended purpose and putting your phone in car mode with speech makes it truly hands free. Two concerns are if it will be in the way of the steering wheel airbag and seeing your speedometer if your steering is not adjustable. Received new in manufacturer packing and promised delivery date. This is my personal opinion based on my experience. I have not been compensated for this review.

Keeps slipping and phone falls
The bottom rubber pieces where the phone is held aren’t stuck or attached to the device at all so therefore they slip off and that’s what holds the phone. So doesn’t work for me at all. Phone keeps falling out.

Good design
Good design. Easy to install. But the rubber sleeves on both sides fly off when clamping the iPhone. I fixed this issue by bonding the rubber sleeves to the plastic ends using super glue. Now it works well.

Awesome little gadget
I refuse to glue anything to my dash, won’t use vent clips as they may damage the vents, don’t want anything on my windshield so this is exactly what I was looking for. Goes on easy and also stays put. I have a 12 pro max and it fits perfectly even with the case on it. So far so good, the springs don’t seem like they will last forever as they are a little flimsy but for the price I’ll order a few more as back ups.

For Smaller Phones!
Does not fit on my iphone XR with case. If I take off my case it will hold it but who wants to take off the case every time? If you have a smaller phone it will work but, buyer beware if you have an Iphone.

Great Option for Phone Mount
I can no longer use a phone mount that attaches to my AC vent because it was causing my louvers to bend and possibly break. This steering wheel mount provides a great alternative. I like it so much I’m about to order another one for my other vehicle.

Keep your phone handy…. but NOT in your hand!!!
This is my second phone holder made like this (my 3-year-old grandson broke the first one after several years of use). This device easily attaches to my steering wheel and holds my phone so when I’m driving around my rather large county, my Waze directions and warnings are right in front of me, hands-free.Traffic on the road? Covered.Wreck up ahead? Covered.Need to stop and get a snack? Well, you can’t do that while driving…. but you can safely leave your phone in the holder while you pull over safely to the side of the road and check where there are some snack spots on your path.I also love that I never lose my phone when I place it in the holder. This little phone holder takes up little room on my steering wheel. If something happens to this one, I’ll be getting another one. I like it just that well!!!My purpose in reviewing this and other items is only to provide my honest opinion based on my experience with the item. Good but cheap
The weakness with this unit is the lower tabs. They are very thin and WILL break off.If that doesnt happen, the elastic band that goes around your steering wheel will tear at their connection point from repeated stretching putting your phone in and taking it out of the holder. All that being said. I have purchased like 6 of these over the past couple years. EXPECT them to break and buy multiples. It is a pretty rad design though.

Not impressive
The build is not reliable. I could not put my google pixel 6 with cover so I removed cover and could fit it but the grip pads came off in the first use it self. I had to place it back using a gorilla gum. Product does not give the value for money factor. I hope this atleast last for a few travel days for me. This is not my main phone holder. I wont rely on this to be the primary phone holder in your car.

Straps onto wheel
Like the concept of using the wheel for the mount. Remember to turn off auto rotate. The piece that holds the base of the phone in place comes off too easily when removing phone. I don’t see why this piece comes off at all. I’ll glue it in place. Lastly, my phone (A02S) fits but not its case, so gonna look for a slimmer case.
