Not flattering
The legs seem smaller than the pant version. Not flattering unless you have skinny thighs or size up. Super low waist and tight legs on linen not a good look.

LOVE the fit
I absolutely love these shorts, I ended up ordering 2 more pair in different colors. I did a large, after wearing them a little bit, they do loosen up, but the draw string helps with that. I love that they have back pockets (for my phone) and you don’t have yo wear them up tomorrow belly-button. It’s so hard finding women’s shorts that don’t sit super high, I can wear them at my hips (but not like early 2000’s thong showing hips) so I definitely recommend 🙂

Super short! But good quality & still cute.
I originally ordered an XL but they were too big (for reference I usually order a US size 8-10 in pants) so they were exchanged for a size L.To be honest, I didn’t realize that these would be so short! However they’re great for the beach and being outdoors. Roxy always comes through with quality items that last for years. I especially like the way the pockets are made on these shorts – fairly deep (enough to hold my chapstick or ID) and they don’t pucker.

So I am a short person and these are perfect. They fit great and aren’t to long. I would have liked the tie to be a thinner rope. But it works. The linen feels so nice. The color is rich. Wash was easy but you do need to hang to dry.

So cute
Love these dockside Roxy shorts! These were at Macy’s for $55 and my daughter was in the dressing room so I decided to look online. Well, guess what?!? I found them here for a little over 1/4 the price!My only issue was that they had a hole on the pocket and I don’t see. However, I wasn’t going to complain for the price difference so I got it taken care of.

Great basic comfy shorts that aren’t too short.
Basically what I expected. Lightweight, linen-type material. Not sheer (at least in black). Not too short. Flatters my behind. (Bf likes the way they look on me) Has pockets!I don’t really like the drawstring, would prefer a loose elastic, but whatever. Can’t have everything.I got the small. 5’3″, 110lbs.I would buy more, but can’t afford it right now.

Great short – super cute
Lightweight but not see through. Likes the pockets and drawstring. Def stretch a bit after some wear. I took them on a 2 week vacation and wore 3 times without washing. Got much bagger but still looked cute on. Washed on gentle cycle when I got home and air dried like others mentioned. Back to original size. Bought another pair. I’m 5’6 130lb. Athletic build.

Comfortable lounge, beach or pool cover up shorts!
These are my favorite cover up shorts for beach or boating. Super comfortable and they wash well. I personally hang too dry to avoid shrinking. They are more like a juniors size, so keep that in mind. I am 135 and a size 4 in women’s. I fit in the small and medium, but the medium is roomier, which I prefer.

Good for postpartum or hiding love handles
I am a couple of months postpartum and needed shorts that allowed for growth and weren’t restricting. These are very lightweight, nice for summer. I wouldn’t call them low rise or mid rise but they are something in between. I am 5’4 150lbs and the large fit me well. Only slightly large where the drawstring is but could be tightened. I have wide hips and the material would’ve been too tight in a medium. I plan on getting the denim color. Good shorts!

The perfect comfortable lightweight & cute summer shorts!
I love these shorts! So much that I have numerous colors now. My sister has also purchased some after I had her try them on. They are by far the most comfortable light weight shorts I own. No buttons, no zippers, just a drawstring you can use if preferred! With 4 pockets, they are perfect. Cute and not too short in length!

These flattering shorts are made of the most beautiful linen and easily laundered. I have them in three colors. I’m 5’3” and weigh 150lbs. I got them in olive, white, and black in size L and I’m thinking about the blues… 🙂 buy them. They’re worth every penny.

Great shorts
Love these. I am 5’8 150lbs I ordered a medium. I love them. I can wear the med, but I should of went with a large lol. They are tight at first but stretch out comfortably during the day. Pretty see through if you have on bright colored underwear. Other then that they’re awesome.

If you have been researching shorts, stop and read this.
I am 38 years old and have not worn shorts since the 8th grade, yes, that is correct. I don’t like anything about shorts for numerous reasons… muffin top, riding up on the inner thigh area, tightness around the waist, etc.. In the summer I wear dresses and yoga pants. I’ve been fine up until this current summer. Maybe it’s all the time spent at home in a pandemic, or maybe my 1 year old is more active than my son was who is now 7.. This summer it finally got to me. It was time. I took my time for week, read reviews, researched what I may like, talked to friends.. ridiculous I know.I settled on these and absolutely ADORE THEM. I am 5’2″ and 135 pounds on a bad day but 130 on a good day. That 5 pounds makes a difference in the way things fit me in the waist area. I have wide hips and carry my extra weight in the stomach when I do not make the best food choices. I put these shorts on and they fit perfect! No muffin top, and no riding up in the thighs when I walk, which I always loathed. I wore them when I had friends over for a BBQ. So lots of walking, chasing kids, hostessing, and finished with a softball game. I paired them with an orange cotton loose fit tank which I tucked in the front and left the back out. Two things to know. They are linen so they stretch as you wear them- just made them better. Secondly, they are on the shorter side, which helped with the riding up. I will be ordering them in every color possible. I would highly recommend cold water and line dry for these. I am sure they’ll shrink right up. I purchased a Medium.

Already my favorite shorts
To start I’m 4’11”and 132. This is chubby for me, I’m usually under125. I ordered size medium and they fit perfectly. I’m more apple shaped than pear shaped. I’m not skinny but I don’t have big legs or a super big butt. I usually struggle with shorts because at my height, longer shorts just don’t look right on me and when I’m buying a larger size than usual (I’m chubby this month) they tend to have a longer inseam. These shorts were perfect. The waist band is comfortable. The inseam is on the short side, but without being obscene. The leg openings are perfect, in my opinion. I have a hard time finding shorts with leg openings that aren’t super baggy on me, however, if you’re more pear shaped, with big legs/butt I would suggest sizing up. Anyway- I love these shorts !

Happy with purchase
I’m 5’3″ (160), 127 lbs (58 kg), and between a 2-4 in American jeans, with wide hips. I sized up on these shorts, because Roxy is a brand typically aimed a teens and younger women that are a bit narrower in the hips. Glad I did. Medium fit perfect. Has a lower rise (which I like), nice material that is not sheer, fits well in the butt, and has nice room in the legs. Adjustable draw string means no muffin tops. They are short but not SUPER short, and feel appropriate for my age (34)If you are a bit curvier on the bottom, I’d say size up one.

Very cute, but SIZE UP
I got these shorts for a trip to Jamaica that I’m taking in the end of May. I’m usually a medium or a large if the sizing runs small, so I ordered a large, and let me tell you… I’m glad I did. Honestly I could have probably gone with an extra large if I wanted the shorts to be a bit looser. The large is pretty form fitting on me, and there is no extra space in the legs, but the shorts are still super comfortable. The length is nice, as they aren’t incredibly short. For reference, I’m 5’4, about 165 lbs, and I’ve got a booty and moderately thick thighs.

As a person who has a bit of a thicker waist, than rear end, these shorts have been awesome. They sit just right at the waist , you can adjust the waistband with the drawstring and they’re short enough to show off your legs if you like to do that- very comfortable very flattering super cute.

These are a great quality and fit as expected. They are short but not too short in my opinion, they are shorter than mid-thigh though. Loose in the waist, draw string is great, fit perfect in the mid-section which is flattering to the figure. 5ft, 130lbs and I ordered a medium.

Sent Wrong Color
I ordered the color Stone, which is a tan color, but I received the white one. It’s very bright white and see through which is why I ordered the tan. You can tell it’s the wrong color because the string should be the same color as the shorts, like in the product photo, but it’s tan and they’re stark white. I’m going on vacation in 2 days so I don’t really have time to order another one. The material is a nice linen though and it fit well. For size reference, I got an extra small and I’m 5’7” and between 120 and 125 pounds with a 25” waist and 35.5in hips, if that helps anyone. I was debating small and extra small but the extra small is better

Roxy shorts
I have ordered numerous pairs of these shorts. So I really like them, and wear often. However they have to be on sale. I really want the ivory, but the 38$ is over priced. They get really weak as far as material, after a season.

odd fit, pork chop pockets
Still great material but the cut if the shirts and the pockets have changed. The cut if the shirts are odd as the rise isn’t as shirt as they used ti be resulting in a pooch look once they’re on. It’s worse when you sit while wearing them. Kind if looks like you’re really happy to see people 🙄 The pockets are now pork chop shaped and awkward. I’ve worn these for years and the last black and white pairs I have could be replaced but they won’t be replaces with these. Very disappointing because they used to be great shorts.I sent them back but the sizing is still correct. The fit is just very odd now.

Love them!
I have approximately 10 or more pairs of Roxy linen shorts. I have purchased a variety of colors but my go to shorts are black. They have held up extremely well and are still in very good condition. I would definitely recommend Roxy linen shorts to anyone and everyone. I love how comfortable they are and I love the style. I am sure I will be buying more soon! BTW I order either a small or a medium in size. The mediums are loose on me so much so that I cannot put my phone in my back pocket because it ends up pulling my shorts down even though they are tied. The small size doesn’t pull down when my phone is in my back pocket.

My new fave shorts
Adorable and comfortable shorts. This is the second pair I’ve purchased. I’m about 130lbs and 5’10” and a medium fit great. The inseam is roughly two inches so these are shorter shorts. The waist is drawstring and sits lower on my hips which I like. They’re a linen like material. The blue and black colors are opaque so you don’t have to worries about people seeing your underwear. The leg openings are loose and not tight. Overall fantastic casual but nice summer shorts.

Cute Comfy Shorts – FYI Elastic Waistband is Minimal
These are cute, casual, flattering shorts. FYI the elastic waistband mentioned in the product title is minimally “elastic” – I’ve found it mostly relies on the string closure to keep them up – so tie it tight if you want them to stay up! (They’d be a little easier to take on/off if the elastic was a little more stretchy. But overall they are good, and I have a couple pairs now. I am 5’2″, 105 lbs and got the size small. They are a bit roomy – but I think in the way they’re meant to look, and they are comfy and not too short for my liking. (If you are similar size you probably could get a size XS and they’d fit ok but I’d imagine maybe extra short).

I love these shorts! I bought the black last season (2020) and purchases two more this season, in white and stone. They all fit similarly and no “fraud”issues that I can see. The white is more sheer as all white are but not bothersome. I bought all in small and I’m 5’2” 125lb, apple-shaped. They’re awesome shorts and will live in them!

Great maternity shorts, especially for petites
These are a comfortable option for maternity shorts as I’ve been trying to avoid buying maternity clothes. Currently in the middle of 2nd trimester (155 lbs, 5’3″) and ordered a large and they fit comfortably, although a little loose since they do stretch out. Normally wear a size 4-6 or medium in shorts pre-pregnancy. These fit the bill overall as they’re a great length for petites, comfortable waistband, and go with everything.

Buy one size up, great fit
I am normally a size medium or size 6/8 in pants depending on the brand. I bought a size up after reading other reviews and these fit me great! They are flattering and I love the fit. I wore them to go swimming and they were great. They do ride up and you walk but for short car driven trips they are perfect.
