Good protection long sleeves Tshirt against UV
Take your size and this sun protective shirt will fit you perfectly. Speedo is a great quality and these shirts are not exceptions. They cost little money and are a must against sun. They filter UVs, but you still need a hat, glasses and protect your face with a good cream. If you work outdoor you should buy a few. They are easy to wash at cold temp and dry in a blink. You can bring them in a pocket as they are light and take no space at all. We picked a white and a black because if the white color repels the sun’s radiations, black repels also your own heat waves. Great purchase and nice look for safe garden tasks, fishing, swimming etc.

Great Shirt for Beach
Good sizing. Sleeves a bit long but wearable. Great for beachwear.

Well designed and extremely comfortable to wear
My first time buying a swim shirt from a Sports brand and I will never go back again. These are designed for the swimming and it clearly shows Speedo knows what they are doing. The shirt is light weight, soft, and very comfortable to wear. So comfortable that you don’t notice that you are wearing a shirt. It keeps you warm when you are wet. It also keeps the sun out nicely — two hr on the beach at noon in FL and no sun burn in my upper body. Unlike my other shirts I own, this clings on to the body when you are in the water instead of swelling up making you feel like a ballon. It runs a bit large and loose. I am 5 ft 8 and 145 lbs. Small is just fine but Medium is too big.

Speedo rash guards are my Go To shirts for kayaking
I’ve got like 6 Speedo rash guard/swim shirts now, in both long and short sleeves. I like them. A lot.My only beef is with Speedo’s oddball sizing. I wear a mens large in shirts. I’m 5′ 6″ (short fat guy), weight 160 lbs, and wear a 36 – 38 waist in pants. Inseam is 30″. A mens large in these shirts would fit Sasquatch, and the loooooooong sleeves on Speedo stuff. Good grief. Not everyone is that tall and lanky. The end game? I wear a small in Speedo any-kind-of-shirt. That makes me FEEL skinnier than I am, but it makes playing guess your size interesting. I’ve sent several Speedo shirts back because my arms don’t hang down to my ankles. The only other nitpick I have is the neck and shoulders. Something about the way these are cut make the neck and shoulders of these weird. I feel like I am alternately being strangled or the neck opening is hanging down weird. Fabric pulls at the shoulders and pits. And I am not particularly wide shouldered. But this is minor for me. It’s more of a minor fit annoyance than a real issue. The performance of these shirts is great. And that is why I put up with the 2 – 3 extra inches of sleeve and the odd neck hole. I have yet to get burned through one of these, even after a day on the water in the sun. They are light and breathable. I love the fabric. Stitching is good. Dry hilariously fast. And, so far, holding up well to being under a PFD, loading and unloading boats, etc.I have heard that O’Neill tends to have a better (average human being) fit, but I haven’t tried them yet to compare. If you can get the sizing right, these are hard to beat.

Awesome sun protection at the beach or when fishing – comfortable and cool
Just returned from a family beach vacation (with a couple deep sea fishing trips) and have to say this long sleeve tee was a life (actually skin) saver. As others noted, I would recommend purchasing a size smaller (I selected “somewhat large” in the review because I normally get a XL and the L fit just right for me. It is light weight and cool. I used it on the beach and on a fishing boat. With a gentle breeze and/or just a bit of shade, I didn’t really feel hot at all. I also ordered a dark blue one and was not overly hot either. It provides great coverage and sun protection. When I wore it, I was covered from neck to wrists to shorts. I wore it in the ocean and in the pool and it was very comfortable. Yes, when you get out of the water, it may stick to you a bit, but if you just pull it off your body it does well thereafter. This shirt also has the dri-fit feel to it, so it will soak most any moisture off of you (including sweat) so recognize that at the end of the day this thing will be ripe. Accordingly, Speedo recommends hand washing, so it is a bit high maintenance. All in all, this is a great shirt and my new go-to shirt for the beach, pool, or deep sea fishing when needing to avoid excessive sun exposure. I plan to order 2 more.

Good for the sun, not the surf
Having fair skin and being prone to skin cancer, I’m one of those people who goes to the beach wearing a hat, a long sleeve shirt, and gobs of sunscreen on what little skin is still exposed. I went on a trip to Hawaii a few weeks ago, and ordered a couple of these to wear to the beach while I was there. The shirt is lightweight and comfortable, and fit me really well. Not like a lot of those form fitting rash guards you see. It also did a great job at protecting me from the sun. Although that wasn’t too surprising. I mean… it’s a shirt. Anyway, the trouble came when I went in the water. While doing some snorkeling at Hanauma Bay (highly recommended), I found that the shirt was suctioning to my skin and causing A LOT of chaffing in my chest area. It got to the point that I had to stay out of the water for the remaining time we were at the beach. Over the next few days, the chaffed areas were red and sensitive and even bled a little.Another odd thing was that it didn’t dry very quickly once I got out of the water. I was sitting in the hot Hawaiian sun for hours, and it was still a little damp as we were leaving the beach. Just doesn’t seem like something a “swim shirt” should do. Anyway, I’d so go ahead and buy one if you’re just hanging out in the sun. But definitely don’t swim in it.

Great for saving yourself from the sun
My husband loves this shirt, it feels good and it’s comfortable for him. He wears it all the time. I purchased it for him to wear to the beach or out in the yard. So far it works in the yard, we haven’t worn it to the beach yet which is why I gave it a 4 star. This is great for a younger man or older man. Update on this: as the temperature has risen outside, my husband said the shirt is too hot. He still likes wearing it around the house or on cooler days but he has shirts he’s paid less for that does better

Runs Large
I ordered my husband’s usual size, but it’s quite a bit baggier than I think it’s supposed to be. If you want a more fitted look for swimming, you may wish to size down. Besides that, good quality, nice looking.

Perfect for modest men! The fit is somewhat loose, so it’s very forgiving. My husband always struggles to find shirts that fit his long arms, these are perfect. The length is also great. It covers his entire hips. The fabric is thinner than other rashguards I have bought, perfect for hot weather. My husband is 6 ft tall and weighs 225 pounds. He usually wears a size 36 or 38 pant and a large dress shirt or XL t-shirt. Also, the white is pretty transparent. The new blue is a very dark navy. My favorite was the ocean color. I put a striped colored underwear underneath the white so you can see it’s somewhat transparent.

Size Down for sure
Although I have not worn this in the water, yet, it seems to be a pretty well-made item with strong stitching, etc. Please note about sizing: size down for sure –> I am 6’1″ and weigh about 190 and the large was way too big (had to return). The medium fits me much better, and is still not snug at all, and there is plenty of length in the arms and down below the waist. I would think that if I wanted this to actually fit tightly I could even go with a small, but that’s not how I want it to fit.

Perfect swim shirt
I am 6’1, 180, wear a large or xl sort when purchasing shirts. This large fits fine – appropriate fit in the arms while swimming to allow freedom of movement without feeling any restriction. Dries quickly once out of water.

I love these shirts … too much
This Speedo Men’s Swim Shirt is currently my favorite shirt in my closet — I have five of them. I wear these all the time, and I never go swimming. The long-sleeve version is perfect as a topper during cooler summer mornings, and then throughout the year as a layer. The material is super soft and the fit is roomy and comfortable. Sun screen? Who knows, it probably does the job.

Decent item – didn’t come with any SPF tag or information in packaging though.
Bought this as a means to help protect from the sun while out on the beach. It did a decent job at protecting my skin and it seemed to run a bit larger than expected but it fit well enough. So this is a great item for big and tall as it has plenty of room. However, the extra fabric did get annoying when swimming in a pool and ocean. The fabric is lightweight and feels comfortable on skin. It does tend to snag easily out in the ocean if snorkeling near rocky / reef areas, so keep that in mind as it may damage the tee-shirtI can’t 100 vouch for the SPF rating since there was no tag, sticker or anything pertaining to this anywhere on the item or packaging. As with anything that gets wet, it is a good practice to rinse and then hang to dry.Overall, I’m happy with the purchase as it met my needs.

Great fit and awesome for long days in sun. I use it fishing offshore
Don’t waste your money on branded fishing UPF shirts that stain with fish blood on the first trip. I got one in navy and black and they are awesome. Not too hot and keeps me from burning. Got my ginger GF a few as well and she loves them and comes out of the cabin sometimes now hahahah.

Good t-shirt fit rashguard
I recently developed an alergy to most sunscreen, and wanted something I could wear on a tropical vacation without risking a respiratory attack while scuba diving.I was looking for more of a T-shirt fit than the painted-on look of many rash guards, and this delivered. I’m 5’9″, currently a dismal 185lbs, and the medium gave me a pleasant T-shirt fit. I did not attempt to wear it under my wet suit. For diving, I took it off and stuffed it in my dry bag when I was ready to put on the upper half of my wetsuit. I do wish there were more color choices.

Real sizing info (not weight & height)
Size down for a regular fit; size down twice for more fitted. Im 5’6” and have an athletic physique with a 39” chest and 30” waist. Ordered a small and it fits loose like Nike medium shirts. This “swim shirt” measures 20.5” across the torso and has 35” sleeves. I intend to wear during long periods in warm waters (surfing/snorkeling) or when I forgo reapplying sunblock. Wished Xsmall was available and same color stitching. See attached pics.

I really like the shirt
I really like the shirt, BUT… Before I even took it out of the Amazon Box the sleeve had a snag in the fabric. I liked it enough to over look the snag in the fabric and keep it. What was very frustrating is that when I wore the shirt for another day I got another 2 or three snags in the fabric. I really do like the shirt but you need to used extreme caution when you wear it, it will Snag and unravel some of the fabric.

Loved the Speedo Sun Protective Shirt!
I ordered three of these shirts before our family trip to Destin, Florida for my husband and two sons. One was a size large and two were mediums. They all fit great and kept them from getting too much sun on the beach! I read where the shirts ran a little big so I downsized in my order, and the fit was perfect! My husband and one son usually wore a large – so the medium was just right., The other son is 6′ 1″ tall and about 200 lbs. He usually wears an X-large, but the large in this shirt just fit. The shirts dried quickly after the beach and were very cool in the water and on the beach! When you think you’ve had enough sun and don’t want to blister – just put your shirt on! – and you can stay on the beach all day!

Nice and inexpensive UV protection.
We were going to Florida in the middle of the summer and I realized that I would need UV protection. This shirt is very comfy. On a negative side, sleeves are too long and drying time is not that fast as I expected. Overall I liked this product and would buy it again.

Might want to order a size down
Normally, my guy wears a medium, but we exchanged it for a small. Still a nice loose fit!My guy is tall (6’2″) with good length arms and the small fit his arms better – the medium was too long! But shirt looks great on him. Nice blue! And great for sun protection in the water.

Best investment of the summer
Best investment of the summer. Wore this in the ocean, in the pool, at the Atlantis Aquaventure resort, on the beach, snorkeling – never had any sunburn, and the shirt is really comfortable, doesn’t get hot wearing it, dries nicely, and it looks good. Highly recommend! Also, for sizing, definitely go one size smaller than what you usually wear (I normally wear a Large in all of my shirts, but upon reading some of the other reviews I decided to order a Medium and it fit really well – a Large would clearly have been way too big on me).

Runs very large, weirdly packed, costs to return, no replacement option
Most swim shirts run very tight, one has to go up a size or two. This shirt runs very large, seems larger than true size, so if to be used for swim shirt, smaller sizes should be ordered. Came in very large bag, no option to exchange and vendor charges for returns that have to be sent via USPS. Not the usual Amazon experience.

Great Purchase!
I ordered this shirt because I was going to the NASCAR race in Nashville. I had never been to a race before, the temperature was expected (and was) to be in the middle 90’s with no clouds. It was ridiculously HOT! I did not want to wear gobs of sunscreen only to have it melt off of me, so I thought this product would help. It was amazing. I was outside for over 7 hours in the direct sun and I came away without any sunburn. This shirt is legit. I had sunscreen on my neck and nose and legs but my arms, head, and torso were covered by this shirt and a great UV blocking hat. Excellent choice. Highly recommended. I purchased the white shirt.

Wash before wearing, looks good, doesn’t stink!
(FYI the Amazon Basics version of this type shirt is less expensive and also fits well, maybe slightly less style but looks good)Made mistake of wearing this shirt all day on bare skin when first received. Should have washed it before wearing, something in the new material caused a mild rash on my chest and shoulders where the shirt material hangs, perhaps not unexpected for new clothing which I normally wash before wearing (-one point). Rash subsided after showering and a few hours.Fit and shape is good, I purchased MEDIUM size when I usually wear Large in other shirts. The looser fit was perfect for me in medium, giving a nice trim but not tight fit (170 lbs, 33 waist, 5-11.) Raglan sleeves and contrast stitching color give the shirt a more interesting and shaped look. Sun protection worked well all day in Hawaii sun and heat.Best of all, the polyester didn’t stink after a day, unlike most synthetic sports clothes can from perspiration!

Runs Very Large
I bought this for my husband to wear for sun protection in the swimming pool. It is extremely large. He is 5’ 7” and has a belly but this was way too large as a whole including the sleeve length. I washed it and dried it in hopes of it shrinking but no luck. I have bought speedo shirts before but this one is way to large. I should have returned it.

Bought to keep me cool and pasty white when outdoors
Bought to keep me cool and pasty white when outdoors. Allows a breeze to help keep you cool and white color keeps it from absorbing sun heat. Also no greasy feeling arms because I can do without sunscreen.Dries quickly if you go swimming or get sweaty but also useful for a quick dip to use as a evaporative cooling shirt. Arms are nice and long so they don’t ride up my forearms.Loose fitting and easy to reach and twist without looking like I’m swimming in it. Easy to get on and off. Has stood up to harness strapping, hiking through vegetation, and other abrasions without wearing down or ripping at the seams when I pull it off.My only wish is maybe a higher/tighter neck would help keep the face shield tucked down so I don’t expose the back of my neck when it (shield) rides up a little over time. But I haven’t gotten a burn and my neck isn’t any redder for wearing this than it was before.

Does the trick, stains easy
Nice and light (I ordered a white one) wasn’t too see through even when wet, fit loose on me (5’10” / 210lbs) in sz L, weighs down a bit when wet but dries very quick in AZ sun. Has held up well but stained from sun screen on my neck very easily. I’d get another maybe light grey next time.

Works great!
Just took my first trip to the beach with this hoping it would work as advertised and it did. We were there for at least 8 hours in the sun and the only thing that burned was the part of my hand the sleeve didn’t cover. I like the fit in that it doesn’t fit like a traditional rashguard but isn’t too bulky. They are sized big though as I can sometimes get away with a large instead of an extra large yet ordered this in medium thanks to some previous reviews and it worked well. I don’t like my shirts tight at all so going from a large/ XL tells you something on the sizing. I would say it fit me roughly like the photo in the add. The sleeves are longer than usual but will cover more of your hand. I will be ordering another in a darker color as the white does look dingy in water that is not pristine.

Too big
Good shirt but I gave 4 stars because of fit. Haven’t worn it in the water but not sure it will be great for swimming unless I reorder a size down. After reading reviews I ordered a L. My hubs is 5’10”, 180# and usually wears a M. I ordered a L and it is huge. To wear as a rash guard, it needs to fit tight. I am sure the L will balloon in the water. We are keeping it because he finds it well made and comfy for other activities not water related. I would definately order a smaller size for snorkeling or swimming, altho I am unsure if he would need M or S…the L is quite large.

I really like this shirt, but the stitching is fraying badly after 2 uses.
I really want to like this product, it looks nice, and it dries fast, but it is let down by the stitching. I bought this to use for kayaking, but have only used it for swimming twice (in a pool). It worked well, however it looks like the stitching is going to disintegrate. I was not abusing the shirt, and the areas that show the fraying are near the hands and forearms which makes me think it was simply the movement of the water causing the fraying (I never even recall my arms rubbing against the side of the pool) – and I don’ use any wrist bands or watches while swimming. I will attach some pics showing what I am referring to. Quite a bummer since otherwise the fabric dries fast and the design is nice.I also had tried the white swim tee and found that to be too transparent when wet which is a bummer since it looks nice otherwise. I went for the dark blue which looks really nice wet or dry, aside from the fraying stitching.I am debating sending this back since I like it a lot, but I feel like it may not last more than a few more uses.

XL was a bit too roomy
Shirts are tough for me. Sometimes I get a Large and sometimes I get XLarge. I ordered this long sleeve swim shirt as XL with a trial through Prime Wardrobe. The color is really nice but the size was too large. The sleeves covered half of my hand and the fit was a little looser than I was hoping. I suspect the Large would have fit better.

Not the same shirt pictured. Size off by 1 whole size.
I purchased the white shirt pictured here last year in but got a stain on it. So I re-purchased the same model/color/size from the original link to replace it. What came was a solid white in a size Large but the seam stitching is not blue as was the original and the item pictured. The size Large now absolutely swallows me to a ridiculous degree, while the previous Large fit fine. Also the fabric on the new shirt seems thinner and cheaper. ( I almost always wear a Large top or XL in Euro cuts) I sent back the Large and reordered a size down in Medium. Again what came in was solid white with no seam stitch color and the same cheaper feeling fabric. The Medium does fit better much like the original Large did, so keep in mind the size (at least in this M to L experience) will come a whole size larger than previous Speedo rash guard tees. I’m probably going to keep it but not really what I thought I was getting.

The shirt is nice, but I probably could have spent less on a different one without the speedo name. It did it’s job. It’s very thin so it shows everything underneath it, and runs big. In the picture it’s just the speedo symbol which is what I wanted but it actually says speedo on it which I don’t really like. Thinking I should have just brought the cheaper brand for half the price. The blue is a nice color. 6

Good – loose fit, long arms – like it
I ordered 3 diff brand shirts all medium:Speedo – navy blueKanu – bright blueVapor – light grey—————- Speedo:Good:This was the largest fit, very loose and longer arms. That is exactly what I was looking for. I have longer arms than most so it was a big plus.I wish there were more colors, like a grey to reduce the feeling of hot in the summer.I got the navy color.Neck line is loose as well, some other the neck was tight on me.Bad:Poor color selectionUpdated: *warning* these are easily “pulled” by Velcro. I couldn’t understand why it pulled in a few spots and finally figured it out today. This is a big negative. I am so frustrated, I love this shirt otherwise.—————- Vapor:Bad:Tight neckOdd arm shape, kind of like I think was sewn strangely at the seams, I’m not sure how to describe it. Kanu has it too, might be related to how these are sewn.Good:Longer armsGreat color selectionGrey hides my chest hair when wetI like the hidden seams—————- Kanu:Bad:Short arms (deal breaker for me)Neck line sort of feels slightly like it is on backwards. Maybe that it me, it didn’t feel too loose, but worth noting.Good:Neck line ok, not loose, not too tight.Beautiful color – bright blue is just awesomeFabric looks awesome. Best of all 3 in my opinion.

Great rashguard, not sure of the actual sun protection value
The first time you wear this rashguard, it may be a bit odd feeling, almost itchy, because of the specific material it uses. However, one day of scuba diving and I no longer feel it… Feels like a great fitting, loose rash guard. I can instantly feel the protection from the sun with it as the only place heating up on me was the back of my neck while it was on. Time will tell if that is just a placebo if I actually am protected from the rays, but so far so good. The only thing I wish it had was a confirmation from Speedo that it is indeed UPF 50+, as nowhere on the garment does it say this. The only thing mentioned is “BlockBurn”, their sun protection trademark name. This could be 10 UPF, or it could be the stated 50+. Hard to tell. Especially considering when you look at the fabric, you can indeed see through it a bit, making me wonder about the actual sun protection I’m getting.Still, great fitting rash guard if nothing else. I’m definitely happy with this purchase.

Regarding sizing…
This is a very good quality garment from a trusted brand. I am very happy with it and with the fit. Regarding sizing, I am 6’1 and 210 pounds with an athletic build and no belly. I was not looking for a “compression” garment and so this one caught my eye. I initially ordered the XL and found it to be too baggy and with sleeves that came down to my knuckles. I replaced that with a large and am very pleased. The sleeves are still about 1/2″ to and inch longer than I would prefer, but all in all, I am very pleased with the fit. It is very comfortable and does not cling to my torso like the compression style. It is slightly sheer, but only about 5% transparent. No big deal at all. Very pleased.

The stitching on the shirt that was delivered to me was not as it was pictured online. The shirt’s appearance is important enough to make me return it.

If you get sunburns buy this shirt!
I really like this shirt. It doesn’t feel weird like another sun shirt I purchased last year. That one felt kind of rubbery. The most important part of the shirt is that for the first time ever I didn’t get a sunburn while at the beach. Seriously, I’ve gotten burnt in Ohio in early March before folks. I wore this for six days at Daytona beach and it protected me from the sun the whole time. I was afraid it would get wet and let those UV rays sneak through, but it did not. It is so much better than reapplying sunscreen every 80 minutes. It dries fairly quickly too. The only drawback is that when it gets wet it sucks to the body like a compression shirt. I expected this would be the case as I have yet to see a shirt of any material that won’t do that, so no deduction on the five star review.

Love this long sleeve swim shirt
After trying several different brands, my search is over – the Speedo Men’s UV long sleeve swim shirt is the best for the money I’ve found. I prefer a loose fit long sleeve swim shirt and at 6’4″ and 230 lbs it is difficult to find one that is both long enough (body and sleeves) and loose enough without it being too baggy. After going through a number of brands both expensive and discounted, I’m convienced the Speedo offers the best value for what I’m looking for. My only very minor and admittingly nit picking issue is that the collor of the shirt is a little wider than I would prefer but not so bad that it looks ridiculous.

Light Protection
As expected. SPF shirts aren’t terribly exciting but as long as they get the job done they’re a no brainer! Lightweight and rated SPF 50. The fabric feels like it will snag easily. Accurate sizing if a little on the big side; it fits like a t-shirt so size down if you wanted it more fitted. It also feels a tad softer & lighter than the usual fitted rash guards. These came without stickers or tags, not sure why. Other Speedo products I’ve ordered (including swim tees) always come with tags and stickers. Not a big deal but something to note if you wanted to give it as a gift. Without tags there is no explanation about its SPF properties.

Good Quality Product!
I used this rash guard in Cousemel and Houndurus for snorkeling. It fit well, did not bunch up on me, did not chaff, and protected my traffic stopping white skin from burning. Actually, I expected to get a little bit of sun through it, but I came back as white as I was when I left (not good for me, but speaks volumes about the protection they offer). I bought the black one, so I can’t comment about the sheerness of the white ones, but the black ones were not sheer at all. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it to a friend. I gave it only 4 stars because I believed it performed to its price level, but not beyond it. I would have given it 5 stars if it had been 5 dollars cheaper (did you hear that Speedo?).

Check size guide
I decided on XL size but the arena are long and the shirt length too. I thought I’d like the extra room when wearing into the pool but now wishing I had orders a large instead. Very comfortable and lightweight when dry so no issue there. Quick drying also.
