Not bad, not awesome, needs a little tweaking
The base could have used a little more weight. Having it extended with a Samsung 10-in tablet made it a little wobbly so I had to add two paving stones to help keep the unit from tipping over. Also it seems like it could use one more articulation joint near where the tablet holder attaches by design you can’t pivot the tablet holder far enough in one direction to get it directly in front of you. But it works, and the price is not bad.

Seemed too good to be true. Was waiting for a flaw. BUT NOPE! It’s Awesome!
I never write reviews because most things I purchase I already know they work. But with this purchase I made a gamble. And boy did it pay off. I use this stand every night before bed as I mindlessly look through facebook or watch netflix. I have used it with both my iphoneXs and my ipad and it works perfect. My FAVORITE PART is how smooth it glides to and away from me. I don’t have to tighten bolts to adjust I just push it away or pull it toward me. It is Awesome!!! I also like how solid the pipes are. My only complaint is that if I need to move it into another place the bottom does easily come loose while in the moving process. That is a VERY small flaw and is overshadowed with how great a convenience this product is. I like it very much and if you are hesitant to buy, don’t be!

As advertised
I use this stand to hold my Kindle next to my bed. It works well. I had an issue with the swivel ball that holds the clamp. It was coming unscrewed from the post when the clamp was turned. Some superglue on the threads solved the problem.

Works as intended but feels flimsy
I use this to hold a 10” tablet while I play guitar. It works well for the task, though feels a little flimsy and that it could topple over if lightly nudged.

Great for recording stable video and live Zoom meetings
I’ve found that I like using my iPad for Zoom meetings and for recording craft how-to videos, and this sturdy stand does a great job. If you swivel it to a poor angle it can tip, but the base is easy to add weights to help prevent that. It is even quick to disassemble so I brought it to church for broadcasting a meeting to those who could not attend in person. Our tech guy was impressed. 🙂 As a bonus, the hole for the clamp arm seems to be universal, so I can use other clamp arms or even extendable lamp arms in the stand.

perfect for my 10″ i pad with a honeycomb case on it
also works well with my nintendo switch with wireless joy cons. i can’t bend my neck forward so need to look straight out at my tablets, phone, etc (too large for a phone) the clamp that holds the device arm is very difficult to cinch down so i had to use pliers for leverage, i imagine anyone with normal strength would not have to though. as long as you extend it out over the foot plate without getting it off kilter it is stable…go a bit left or right then the mechanics are all wrong and it will tip to the side. minor and would be the case with anything that extends a device out towards you. it’s really easy to get the devices on and off the stand. i really recommend this product

Adequate. I had to put weight on the base to keep it from falling over. It doesn’t turn in the direction I need when placing the base beside of the chair.

So happy I bought this
My children made fun of me for buying this but now they all want one. Hopefully I’ll be able to reverse the neck strain from having my head tilted down looking at my phone.

Good but can be unstable at times.
For the most part works as advertised but if iPad is in a case it will not fit in the clamp. I have to use small bungee cords to hold it in place since I do not want to remove my iPad from its case. The base can be unstable if you extend it out to far, but once again I use some additional weight for the base. For the most part my modifications are of my choosing for the iPad case, and the additional weight I use on how i use the maximum extension. I’m sure there’s better stands but for the price and my own ingenuity, it works for me.

For the price you won’t find better.
Love it, my husband and I both bought one. They can tip fairly easy. To fix that problem I put a 5# weight on the base. I use mine through out our home, so I attached wheels also. If I had been willing to pay more, I would have expected more.

Very sturdy
I used it for my 12 inch iPad for my bedside. It’s not meant to be for that kind of weight had to super tight joints but for me works very well. Phones and small iPads not an issue at all.

Holds Ipad upright
The iPad slipped in the holder but I added some Build Bonanza Lego taps and now I’m very happy with this stand. It keeps my iPad directly in front of me and straight up and down. Adjustable to many different heights and angles. I’m very satisfied. Now 1 1/2 year later….the contraption that holds my iPad has worked itself loose and won’t hold up the iPad. It is held in place by a metal ball and plastic snugger which is loose and won’t tighten. I can’t find out how to contact these folks with the problem BUT I am hooked on this product so I will either find a fix or order another one. I found a solution to my slipping I pad holder. I purchased a HOLDER ADJUSTABLE MOUNT UPC # X002CWZ7SP. Part # SOU-009 Made in China but if the president hasn’t screwed up business with them it will solve your problem and you have learned not to spin it too much and take off the I- pad Case so the weight is lowered. Cost of replacement part is around $ 13

Strong, a Bit Bouncy
Spoiled by my failed, no longer available gooseneck stand — swivel head drops down and to the side — I’m trying this one. It works well but has to be to one side of my recliner causing me to look off in the direction. It also bounces back and forth when typing with my stylus.

Wide range of setting and stable
This thing is priced very reasonably and is absolutely a great value. The range of settings possible with it are hugely wide and the stability of it is very good. If I had any criticism at all it would be that the base could use more weight, but it is not at all bad, it is just that it could be heavier and that would add to its utility. I love it and I will use it for a very long time and although in the past I have had the springs on similar devices break, I do not worry about that and if it does happen I will look for replacement springs. I have done that before successfully. It is a great value for the price and I highly recommend it for any, who like me, wants their phone or tablet close by and visible without having to hold it all the time.

The best tablet Holder (Period)!
The media could not be loaded.
I love the fact that I can move this thing around anywhere I want and it can just be pretty much set up anywhere with a very slim profile so it doesn’t really become an eyesore. The versatility of the arms bending and articulating in almost any position is in credible. You can adjust things at height at a customizable setting that is just right for you. Having the double-metal arm design with springs shows that this item will last a long time and is a testament to it sturdiness. As far as stability – I give it three stars because it can tip over sometimes if you do not put a weight on the base so, please see the video that I posted. If each of the pivot arms were about 2 inches longer and The silver ball pivot for the iPad holder was about 2 inches longer this thing would be perfect as it would allow full articulation for every day needs. Also, it would be great if they provided A wall-based holder where I could remove it from the base pole and then onto the wall mounted insert. then it becomes a complete system where you can drag this thing anywhere you mount that wall system. I’m thinking about creating one from my 3-D printer myself and it’s gonna be a game changer for me.Other than that, this thing is definitely here to stay in my home. This tool has been invaluable and I just love its functionality and versatility.

The joints don’t tighten enough, so the phone or tablet slumps. Totally unusable.
I had high hopes that I could position the phone over my bed and watch Youtube videos while having my hands free. The base is heavy and stable, but you can’t tighten the joints enough once you have the stand in position, so the phone or tablet slumps, making the product worthless !!! It is now just taking up space in my bedroom needlessly, and will go out in the trash unless I can come up with another use for (parts of) it.

Otherwise good, but needs lock washers
Had this for a few days and I like it alot, despite the family chiding me about having such an alien contraption. Super easy to assemble – screw together two metal tubes that in turn are twisted on the base plate, insert swing arm on top of these, twist on device holder, put device between spring resisting plastic clamps – done! However there are some owner interventions required, mainly tightening the connections of the pieces. I had to tighten the nut on underside of the flat weighted base which holds the threaded pipe holding the vertical stand. I also placed lock washers on the two thumb screws holding the device clamp and the swing arm, both of which allow for the multiple positioning touted by the seller. All this added a good deal of stability to the unit and dampened the finger typing shakes that some commenters here have mentioned. (It helps if the user keeps their feet on the flat base for added rigidness.) In sum, very useful and sturdy, but not perfect for work requiring much finger typing or action games, but is perfect for reading and watching vids.

Best product I ever purchased
I absolutely love this product!!!!!! I actually have two of them one in black and one in white I am disabled and bedridden most of the time either to the bed or to the couch I can’t hold my tablet or my phone because of the situation with my hands but I can move these around to almost any position that I’m comfortable in to accommodate me being able to use my tablet or my phone. The sturdiness is exactly perfect it’s not extremely heavy so that is having to move it you don’t have issues and it’s very versatile with being able to move it and so many different positions to accommodate you. I gave this a five star because I love the product there would be one thing I would change and that would just be a little bit more on the stability I find when the arms extended all the way it tends to wobble or shake a little bit when I’m drawing on it. I’ve never had one tip over they do have tightening screws on two different parts of the arm one at the head and then one at the first elbow. if you’re having problems with it drooping that’s where you need to address the problem and tighten those knobs down. I have not had one issue with this product at all I did purchase the upgraded head that holds the Ipad tablet phone. Only because my phone case was too wide on the original head. It’s a great price it’s a great product I’m glad that I saw it and bought it. My spirits are uplifted because I can actually work with my phone and my tablet without a lot of pain. For anyone that is in position of not being able to move a lot to accommodate your stand this is perfect for you because your stand accommodates you. The manufacturer in China is very attentive I had some questions and they were quick to answer my questions and very nice and extremely quick to answer my questions.

Versatile. Needs a weight on the base
I have two of these. I use them to support a tablet or Kindle mostly for reading. A 10 inch tablet is a bit heavy for it and I had to replace the adjustment screw to keep the tablet from slumping. I use a pair of dumbbells as counterweights to be sure it doesn’t tip when I bump it.

A quality stand that is functional, just not beautiful piece in your room.
It’s not the most modern or high tech looking tablet stand, but it gets the job done. To me, the spring loaded arm looks like the old 70’s – early 80’s desk lamps that had the same type of arm structure, but hey, it works. the tension of the articulating arms can be tightened or loosed depending on the tension needed to hold your device. For me there is enough length in the arm that I can put the stand up against the side of the bed and extend the arm so that I can lay on my back and watch videos while lying on my back in comfortable position. Assembly was easy and only took about 5 minutes – screw the rods together, screw it into the base, plug the articulating arm into the vertical rod, then attach the table holder – done! Quality seemed good as all parts fit together well and there were no sharp seams or edges where I might cut myself. Its worth the money just not a real looker.

Perfect various heights!
Whether standing, sitting or lying down, it works well with my Samsung galaxy tablet! I attend Zoom meetings while sitting, teach exercise classes on the floor and while standing. I weigh the stand base with a Kettle bell, allowing for various, quick positioning without tipping over.

Bought this in May 2022 and now it’s become defective.
I bought this in May 2022 and used it to read my tablet in bed. The base is not very stable for this, but if you weight it, it’s ok. It was working fine up until Sept 2023. The screw that holds the ball joint that connects to the tablet holder part has gotten worn out, so now the tablet is unstable and won’t hold a horizontally locked position. When I tried to rescrew it, it was full of metal dust. The ball now rotates freely so it won’t hold the tablet correctly at all and spins it around. This makes it unusable since I need the tablet to be in a stable vertical position to read.

The Seller was Amazing
The AirDyne Bike has become part of my living room and office. One drawback to the bike is there is no place to clamp a tablet holder. The Spessen stand was the perfect solution. It looked well made, blended perfectly with the bike and my living room. The stand was a bit low so the seller went beyond expectations to help resolve the issue. Both the product and the seller deserves high marks!

This worked better than I hoped. I had to take a star off for one thing.
This worked as intended. I was very happy with how it worked out for us. I kept thinking of other uses we could apply to it.I took one star off due to the somewhat flimsy feel of the device holder itself. The plastic on mine looks and fells like it might be a bit more on the brittle-side. The springs in the tension mechanism on mine are a little noisy and feel just a bit “crunchy” when adding or removing a device. Having said that, I have not had any issues with it, and mine securely holds our phones and tablets.A couple of other observations:The movable arm is only held in place by friction and gravity. Though the fit on mine is nice and tight, do not be tempted to pick it up and move it by the arm, as it can come out, as I discovered in a moment of thoughtlessness. The base and main support poles feel solid and provide a relatively stable platform. It is stable as long as you have the arm lined up properly with the base. But due to the rectangular nature of the base, there is a potential tip over risk if the arm is moved into certain positions.

Switched out the clamp, then it was pretty good
I needed an overhead phone camera mount for crafting videos. I wanted a floor stand so when I shake the table, the camera doesn’t shake, too. Overall, I think this will work well. The floor piece is actually pretty heavy/solid.I have 2 issues:1. I wish it could be adjusted taller or shorter. Maybe I’m missing something, but so far all I can do is swing the arm “elbow” up or down. I wish the vertical piece coming up from the floor could move, but it’s solid.2. The other issue I have is with the clamp itself (that attaches to your phone or ipad). It completely covers the view window on a phone, so I can’t even hit the record button or see if my shot is in the frame. So, I switched it out for my old clamp mount. (It took me a second to realize that you have to put the “screw” piece onto the silver ball first, then push the clamp mount onto the silver ball until it “pops” into place. Then screw it on tight.) I wish this mount came with the optional clamp piece for a phone. Luckily, I already had one.

Got this to work with the switch
It does hold the switch, but it only works if you take off the joy cons, and turn the clamps to hold the switch in a horizontal position, clamps go where the joy cons were.It will not hold the switch in a vertical position, clamps on top and bottom, so take that however you want.I got this stand and an 8bitdo wireless controller, and my son loves it, I figured if the novelty wears off, I can always use it to hold the ipad while i’m sitting on the couch, sometimes i fall asleep and the dang thing keeps falling on the floor.problems- there is no way to lock the springy top section to the lower vertical pipe section, the top part literally just sits in a hole in the pipe and gravity is the only thing keeping it in place. This is ok so long as you dont grab the springy part to move the whole thing around… i keep decapitating mine, and i usually have both hands full so, yes theres sometimes cursing involved while I try to find the hole and reseat the upper part to the lower part then grab the lower pipe so I can pick the whole unit up in one piece…not ideal but it works…also as others have noted, the locking mechanisms suck big time, small electronics even what i consider relatively light like the switch will cause the unit to droop?? thats the best word I have for it… the arm just does not stay in place… really stupid cheap way to secure the arm…. end of the day it works, sort of…

Material defect.
The hole that the arm of the stand attaches to the base is made from plastic and is easily worn. This allows the arm to sag , as the stand is used over time. If the plastic hole was lined with a metal sleeve or made from aluminum it would hold up better.

Well built, good price, excellent seller support, and with a little reengineering made it perfect
This is a very solidly constructed tablet holder, and it works quite well. It does seem to take a little break in, after you tighten the joints down and wait a while it seems like you can tighten them down again a little bit more, and again. Eventually I got it to hold everything exactly where I position it including the final angle on the ball joint for the iPad holder itself. So in that regard I think it all works pretty well. As one or two other reviewer‘s have pointed out, it does have a shortcoming at the final ball joint and does not angle the iPad straight on (90 degrees) when the stand is to the side. I happen to have an old iPad holder with a pivot ball on the back, so I ordered a ”RAM Double socket arm”, and padded both sockets because the ball joints were too small. So far this is working really well and provides all the extra angle needed. Also, I wanted to point out that if you don’t want the full height of the vertical bar, you can just use the top one and connect that directly to the base, remove the double threaded part if necessary. I also ran my iPad charger cable up the length of the spring arm and secured it with cable management type stuff, now I can keep it powered up very conveniently while it’s attached. In the process I had some questions for the seller who was very prompt and helpful.

Quite a time saver
I bought this stand for Zoom viola lessons on my iPad during COVID. It saved a lot of time finding the right size and shape of boxes to jury-rig my own stand wherever I decided to be for my lesson. It works quite well.Pros: 1. the stand is heavy and has a rubber surface on the bottom. 2. The arm is very adjustable.Cons: 1. the vertical support is off center from the base and the stand can fall over if the arm is too far to one side. 2. The clamp is spring-loaded so it can be very difficult to remove the tablet from the clamp. I dropped my iPad the first time I tried to remove it so I try not to have to do that (or else have a big pillow underneath in case of accident). 3. I’m not sure the part that holds the tablet stays screwed tight very well. The first time I plugged my iPad into its charger, the weight of the cord caused the tablet to sag.It would be nice if the height of the vertical support was adjustable, but the range of the arm meets my needs.

Almost Awesome
Assembly is easy. A little common sense trumps the instructions. However, the base weight is somewhat light for 10 inch plus tablets and the chomed pivot on the end of the arm won’t keep the tablet in position.

Perfect for lying in bed reading!
This was exactly what I was looking for. I read in bed every night, but I would have trouble with my neck and wrists/forearms. Propping my head up would stiffen my neck muscles; and holding my tablet up to help with my neck, instead of resting it on my lap, caused pain in my wrists and forearms. So, I needed something that would hold my tablet while I laid flat in bed. This was it! It works perfectly for my situation. I do have to tilt and adjust the angle as I read from top to bottom, but not a problem. I if I was sitting up instead of lying down flat that it wouldn’t be an issue. The only reason I gave it four stars was because it needs to be a little more sturdy to hold the weight of the tablet. This is only an issue if it is not right up to the bed or when I move it away from the bed, and only when the arm is moved to a low position. I just adjust the arm so that it is in a more upright position when I move it away from my bed. Also, one minor thing is that the bendable arm easily comes apart from the pole connected to the base when I try to move it away from my bed without getting out of my bed. Not a huge deal, I just have to remember to grip it lower on the pole when moving it. I would definitely buy this again!

Not for iPad Pro 12 inch
Guess I could’ve read the description better, LOL. I had originally bought it for my iPad Pro 12.9 inch, but it didn’t fit. However, my clients can use it for their cell phones and tablets, and I also use it to clip my reference photos up while I’m working on tattoo. It’s still VERY useful! I only wish I could’ve bought the correct size for my iPad. Otherwise, it’s PERFECT! It does exactly what it’s meant to!

Decent Ipad Holder
I’ve been looking for an iPad holder I could move around the house and this fits the bill. Plus, it’s on a spring arm that I’m able to pull out of floor stand and place in a clamp holder. I appreciate that level of flexibility. However, it seems a little cheap on the material side, the gauge is thinner that in other similar products bought from Amazon and the clamp’s plastic construction doesn’t look very durable. The base could be heavier and the pole stand could be more stable. Also the ball hinge in the iPad clamp doesn’t have a full 180 deg rotation. Id say it’s probably around 90 degrees; and that’s just straight up dissapointing.Overall, it’s a decent product that was worth the sale price. I don’t think I’d pay full price for it.

Great product for the money; just two small issues.
Being all-metal, the quality of this item is great! The piece that holds the phone/tablet is most secure, too. I only have two issues with it: 1) I wish the upper piece with the springs were attached more securely. As it is, if you try to move it by the upper piece only, the base separates from the top and stays on the floor. 2) I wish the base were longer or heavier. When extending the arm out to it’s fullest reach, it falls over because the base isn’t long or heavy enough to counter the weight.

Perfect for requirement
Requirement: A stand that would hold my table in a vertical position above me as I lay in bed.The intent is to allow me to watch tv as I prepare to sleep. I usually use this to help me actually get to sleep (some shows will do that). The unit is stable enough since its sandwiched between my bed and nightstand. I wish the base was heavier but that’s not a real barrier since a single 20lb weight plate placed on the base would stabilize it enough. The arm spring tension is sufficient to hold the table and not droop. I’m contemplating getting a 10″ tablet so I’ll revisit this after that happens.Quite happy with the purchase.

Great Comfort for Streaming shows

Great stand, just don’t use this in a vocal booth.
This stand is great, has great hight, stability, and held my tablet and phone securely. It just wasn’t great for being in a sound booth as the coils would vibrate causing some audio feedback issues. But out side of that it’s a solid stand and worth the money.

Works well enough but not very stable
As some have mentioned before, this item will tip over under the weight of a large smartphone once the arm is extended. I was able to stabilize it by placing a couple of 5 lb dumbbell weights on the base. Also, the device clamp does not rotate freely enough to provide many options for a comfortable viewing angle without also shifting the base itself.

Adequate for our needs
This was the best available for our needs but not quite the stability and flexibility for remote piano teaching. Is well made. In order to focus on the piano keys, we had to undo one of the springs. Would most likely be better where you didn’t need to tilt downward.

Very solid but two problems
I was very impressed with the solid construction of this stand. The base is quite heavy, the 2 arms fit together well and are very adjustable. Problem 1 is that there is no way to view the table at a 90 degree angle. It’s great face-on, but if you want to have the stand on one side or the other, it’s impossible to angle the table enough to view it well. Problem 2 is the swivel joint. Tightening the nut should secure the tablet and stop it from swiveling. Unfortunately, you can’t tighten the nut enough to secure the angle of the tablet. This means the tablet bobs around and never stays where you want it. Because of these two problems, I would not recommend it.

Good for watching ASMR
Perfect for watching videos, holds phone well. Lots of mobility. Helps with insomnia to watch ASMR videos in a more comfortable position.

Convenient positioning, uncertain stability
It’s being used exactly the way I want…holding my iPad mini at a great reading angle when I’m in my recliner just relaxing. Its many adjustable joints, both in position and hand-tightened security, make this unit more flexible and adaptable than a single-appendage gooseneck design. I just wish the whole setup felt a little more secure and stable rather than jittery and tentative. It works for me, nonetheless.

One of the most useful things I’ve ever bought.
I’m an artist and use my iPad for reference photographs. This stand is so lightweight. I have no trouble moving it around to anywhere I want. A and I love it. It adjusts easily, and I love it.

Best to use without a case
This is a nice stand. I bought it to hold my iPad for viewing while riding an exercise bike. My two concerns were finding a stand that held my iPad firmly, and wouldn’t get knocked over easily. The base of this stand is a plate. That plate holds the stand well. I add some weight to the plate for piece of mind, but you really don’t need it. The only complaint I have is I have to take my iPad out of it’s case in order to make it secure in the stand. I can’t really blame the stand for that, my case is a little on the thick side. I think if you had a thinner case, the stand would hold it well. I’ve also used the stand while sitting on the couch, and I can extend it horizontally with no issues. I took off one star for the inconvenience of having to take off the case for use.

Helps me be able to read in bed
This is wonderful for anyone with neck and back issue’s. I use it to read in bed at night with my kindle. You do need to put some weights on it to hold it steady, but as long as you do that it works out very nicely. I tried one of those bendable things that goes around your neck but that was just painful to me. If it helps anyone out there I have a large spinal fusion from scoliosis.

Reading or scrolling in any position. But text typing too long gets it jiggling.
It’s cool. It’s tall, slim with a simple flat, kinda hefty metal plate for a stable base. Easily positioned range of motion accommodates standing heights, barstool, counter, desk even laid back comfy chair use.The weight of the base paired against the tension of the stand’s sturdy metal springs produces a satisfying sensation of an assistive guiding response during articulation up to the slight but reassuring key twist that locks your hovering iPad just inches from your face for handsfree night time nose scrolling.

Works great except the tablet/cellphone holder
Works great went together easy. The only problem I have with it is the holder for the cellphone is plastic – there is no grip or rubber to hold the tablet/cellphone in place. So eventually it falls out of the holder.

Very helpful
We needed our stand to be a little bit taller and reached out to the seller to see if we could buy an extra piece. They sent us exactly what we needed free of charge. The stand is working great for us, we love it!

Awesome product
This thing is really sturdy and solid, which is what I was looking for when I bought it. The one I had for the lower legs broke off and made it useless. I am going to buy a couple more of these. They are really nice just buy one.

Great for watching in bed
I got this to hold my phone while lying in bed (yes, I know you’re supposed to stop using electronics before bed…), and it has been extremely helpful (saves my arms from getting tired and cramping). My only complaint is that the base isn’t as stable as I’d like, but I managed to wedge and box between the baseplate and bed frame and now it works great. I also ran an extra long USB cable up inside the arm so I can plug my phone in while using it without the cord draping and getting caught on stuff; I’d definitely recommend that.
