Not worth hassle
Was gonna switch my pre owned Samsung device that it said was capable with a sims card. Told I had to pay off phone $100 to get unlocked, then Sims card $1 and buy a plan $31.45 before they could transfer and port number. Fair enough but after doing all that but 5 days later after calling daily and still no service kept getting run around. Tech support said couldnt find my info only to find out they were trying to process port under wrong company when i gave them all correct info and phone. Told take a few more days.I called to get refunded for no service and got transferred [hung up on] 5 times before I got the refund dept. Let that soak in, they have a refund dept.

Did not work do not buy for Total by Verizon
This did not work for total by Verizon. Unfortunately I failed to see a similar review before hand and spent all day on the phone trying to figure out what my phone couldn’t recognize the sim or work at all with service. I went to the local store and bought the sams product and had absolutely no problem. Beyond furious. Same price same product but this product does not work at all. Do not buy!!!!!

Didn’t work
Ordered this for the BYOP plan with Total and they told me they couldn’t use it because the card was registered to a WalMart Family Plan. Spent about 3 hours on the phone and with multiple agents and ended up having to go back to my old SIM. Do NOT buy this product

No Scams!
I have heard that affordable booster boxes really lack a lot of what they are supposed to have. I was hesitant, because the exact same booster box was $100 more than mine.

Call Total by Verizon to order this
I received my sim within 2 days, YAAAY. BUT the sim did not work. I called total by Verizon 3 times and we did a trouble shoot and it still didnt work. I was getting an invalid sim message. The rep ended up sending me a new sim card that came in 3 days and it worked as soon as they put the code in. Not sure if their storing these in a dusty area or around magnets but mine wouldnt work from amazon. Definitely go straight to the source for these. Even target sells them for a dollar if you dont want to wait but. if I could Id give it zero stars.

Used this to change phones
Used this SIM card to switch phones. Had a legacy plan that I wanted to switch phones and but keep the same plan/renewal date. It came overnight, and all I needed to do log into the website and make the switch. Very easy and no issues.

Worst service ever!
Trying to sign up for Total is like a nightmare you can’t wake up from. Like going to hell but with slightly worse customer service! After 15-20 hours on the phone with the useless customer service agents, the end result was NEVER getting my service activated AND not being able to get the number I ported into them (a number I’ve had for 20 years!) ported back out. After repeatedly telling me that they didn’t have my number, I got the port verification number and then they finally admitted they had it and it’s “quite simple” to get my number back…… all they need to do is send a verification code to the SIM card THEY WERE NEVER ABLE TO ACTIVATE! Incredibly frustrating experience and I will also be filing complaints with the FCC & BBB. NEVER do business with “Total” unless you want to be TOTALLY SCREWED!

Verizon is LYING about similar plans to the old Total Wireless; Only works for the new plans
A little history if you’re not informed: Total by Verizon is the Verizon branded “Total Wireless” after Tracfone was bought by Verizon. I had a two line plan on Total Wireless. It was $60/mo. which included 30GB of data shared between two lines. There is NOTHING comparable in the new Total by Verizon plans. Everything is based on single lines. There is no discount for using two lines with shared data like there used to be when Total Wireless was under Tracfone.TLDR: Verizon’s “there is a comparable plan” is a lie. Whether or not that lie is worth a switch to another provider is up to you.Edit: If you are on their legacy plans, you can’t switch phones using a new SIM card without a headache. I bought a new SIM card, updated my IMEI on the website, and service dropped on my old phone (like it’s supposed to). Unfortunately, service was never fully restored on my NEW phone. After multiple calls to CS, I finally got most of the service back except I could not make phone calls (Verizon Announcement 3…essentially, you haven’t paid your bill). I called them again, and they sent me another new SIM card. I didn’t even bother and ported out. Then since I had another line available, I tried to add a brand new line using the SIM card they sent me and another unlocked phone. They said they were unable to do it without another go around with various levels of customer service. No thanks. I’m going to port out my other number as soon as this months service is over.

DId not work for my needs
I used this to try and revive an old iPhone. Did not work, but that is not their fault. I am sure in a newer phone this will do as advertised.

Good prepaid service, especially for a family plan, uses Verizon network
Great prepaid wireless carrier that uses the Verizon network. Where can you get a 4-line plan for your family for $120 a month with unlimited talk, text and data for all lines, AND on the Verizon network which gets you the best quality and the best coverage.
