OK but a couple of issues
The price was good and it was easy to install and use. I ordered 2 but only 1 of them worked. A replacement was sent quickly and that worked fine.I am using the USB to ethernet adapter on my laptop to connect to the internet using ethernet. It works fine for that. However, my laptop has the USB ports right next to each other and when I plug in the ethernet and the transmitter for the wireless mouse at the same time, the mouse action gets interfered with by the ethernet adapter. Since I have a USB-C on the other side of the my laptop, I bought a USB to USB-C adapter to plug in my mouse transmitter and now the interference is gone. So, if you have a similar issue, try to separate your ethernet adapter from the mouse transmitter and see if that solves the problem.Because 1 of them didn’t work and I had to buy an additional adapter so that my mouse works, I gave it 3-stars.

Never been a fan of routing ETH hardline via USB but given the fact that my laptop doesn’t have an NIC card and work requires hardline, this has to do. – It worked in an emergency when my regular laptop w/ eth dock went bad. – So far so good. – In regards to speeds and reliability. – This is used on my work laptop and rarely used outside of the VPN which is restricted to 20mbps xfer speeds. – I’ve tested and it pushes my provisioned speeds but didn’t dig too deep at something I expect to find fault with. (Not the brand) – just a ETH to USB cable in general. – Product feels of good quality but time will tell.

zero configuration needed
absolutely no configuration needed, true plug-n-play. Fast 100 and gigabit speeds. Used it because sourcing internal NIC cards for old PCI slots is difficult. Used them for building VPN servers from old Windows desktop PCs

Jury still out
This is a good adapter. It was immediately recognized by my new Sony TV. Haven’t had any issues with disconnects. I have a Plex server so this is mainly for it. I’ve gotten a few warnings playing 4k videos though. Not certain if it’s the connection or the NAS. Will update this review after more testing of the connection but I need to find out how to test that from my TV to the NAS. I believe there’s an app that could do this is openspeedtest.

love it when stuff works
been having issues with my wired connection at the house – internet service provider says hook up a laptop and test at various points. all well and good advice – problem being i have a mac book pro that doesn’t have a RJ45 connection. This usb/Rj adapter has solved that issue. Now when the tech guys comes out I can say look i’m not getting the advertised speeds that you all are charging me for – fix it. in all seriousness if you need to connect a laptop or other computer to a wired point in your network (wifi not working or you just want greater nework speed to your device) I highly recommend this little thing.

Got it this today and plugged it in my 5 year old laptop….windows 10 recognized it ..plugged in the internet cable in …well LA… green light shows it is on… blinking amber light shows its transmitting…. Bought this for my new windows 11 lap top… Nice metal design ….will review again later

The media could not be loaded.
I was moving around computer stations and couldn’t remember when I purchased it. It was purchased on Amazon in July of 2021, and the little device, attached to a USB hub, is still going more than 2 years later, no fuss, no problems. I would recommend it.

Product is amazing. Works well. I needed this for my “Working from home” job since my laptop does not have an ethernet slot, and it passed all test. Does not cut out. Works well
This works as I need it to. I got it to make sure that I wouldn’t have any issues when needing to be on video call meetings and have issues with lag for myself and others.Although I was hoping the speed would have been better. I ran a speed test with WiFi and then with this connected directly to router. Download speed stayed the same but was big difference on the upload speed.The only other thing I noticed was my laptop battery drained quicker than normal. Which normally I’m not doing video calls and I also had an external Bluetooth speaker connected for the meetings for better quality than built in laptop microphone &speaker. So I’m sure all of the components contributed to quickly consuming the battery.And while the device had a bit of warmth to it after hours of use, I wouldn’t think it would be enough to cause concern. My laptops and mobile phones get much hotter than this little device did

It worked
My cpu would only come up with a speed just under 100mps. With this device I was getting almost 500mps which my sp only gives me 500mps. I returned because I realized I needed more usb ports so I purchased a combined unit.

It works on my laptop great but not on my fire TV or my Roku TV but would probably work on a android TV or something like that not sure as I don’t have one close enough to my Ethernet cables

I bought this adapter eight months ago on Amazon. It worked great until 10 days ago, then stopped. I assumed it had spontaneously failed, so I requested support from UNI. They responded the very next day and, after asking some questions, sent me a free replacement.Unfortunately that one did not work either, which made me suspect that the problem must be at my end, because my son has a UNI USB-C to Ethernet adapter for his 16-inch MacBook Pro M1 Max, which is essential because his laptop does not have an RJ45 port. Mine does, I was using my adapter to simplify the wiring by collecting it on one side, opposite the RJ45 port. My son’s UNI adapter has been in use longer than mine and is working fine, he reports no problems with it.So why this review? I offered to send both of my adapters back to UNI so their lab could check them out. They said that was not necessary, and offered to refund what I had paid eight months ago! You can’t ask more than that! That made it a zero-risk purchase!I declined their offer partly because I am no longer convinced the adapters are at fault, partly because they have already incurred two product costs plus two shipment costs. Good will is a two way street: they treated me fairly, so I treated them fairly by considering our two expenditures to be offsetting. I did, after all, get several months of use from a perfectly functioning adapter before it mysteriously stopped working.If I ever need another, different adapter in the future, based on my son’s experience with his, and on UNI’s stand-up warranty coverage, I will not rule out UNI.

Didn’t work with tv

uni Driver Free USB 3.0 to 100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Network Adapter
My laptop is from 2015. While my phone is hitting 200Mbps at home throught the Ethernet, the lap top was crawling at 30Mbps. With this Ethernet adapter, my laptop also can achieve 200Mbps. Even with my old laptop it was plug and play to work perfectly.I needed to buy a USB adapter for the same reason, and my laptop gets 200Mbps. But I needed to use the Ethernet for Wake-on-Lan.The Wake-on-Lan works as long as PC is in sleep, but not from off. At least in my environment, and maybe mostly yours, USB Ethernet adapters cannot wake up the computer. My laptop wakes up from off via the 30Mbps Ethernet connection, then Windows manage to use the faster connection, so two LAN cables are hooked to my laptop.

Great quality
I have a wireless laptop and I recently switched to a non-wifi router for my entire home network. I wanted to try this out to see if it would work with my laptop. On wifi I used to get a max of about 35-50 Mbps download and about 10-12 Mbps of upload. I thought there would not be that much of a difference since it was going to be plugged in through USB, but it surpassed my expectations. There was no install needed, it was an easy plug and play on Windows 11. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has a computer at home that only gets wifi, or wants to completely eliminate wifi like I did.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED FOR OLD COMPUTER HARD WIRE
I have an older computer tower, well after a lightning strike the ethernet plug stopped working. I needed a usb to ethernet in order to get my internet back. So now I have it and for the price can’t go wrong.

The UniB is a sleek package of stress, making my Ethernet dreams feel like a tech nightmare.
When you receive the package, its a neat sleek one, so your first impression is “I’ve made a sophisticated tech purchase.”The Product: I have given two stars in general, yet 5 stars on wifi connection which may confuse you. Here is the thing: the issue is not necessarily about fast connection. This adapter gives you reasonably fast connection and doesn’t interfere with tests if you’re working from home. The major problem is that it disconnects TOO often; I am talking 8 times every one hour and on other days 20 times. I am doing a training program and find myself lagging behind half the time because my adapter needs to be restarted, too many times. its been very stressful. My job doesn’t appreciate the constant login/logout cha-cha, especially when it translates into less money in my pocket.For context, for anyone reading, I am using this adapter with a decent 6 CAD Ethernet cable on a Windows computer.After sales support: Now, to part B. Under the Product’s backend here on Amazon, there is a place that says “Get Product Support” or “Return/Replace.” Of course I clicked product support first. It takes you to Start Troubleshooting. If you click that, it says ” Sorry, content is not available.” So, yes I’ll be returning the product.
