Great quality for the price
I’ve been buying only Zyliss knives a while now. They are the perfect mediam between junky knives and high end knives. Everyone wants a sharp knife, but I can’t bring myself to pay so much for them. The Zyliss knives have been great and they hold an adge pretty well. I think after a year I needed to sharpen them, but it’s hard to beat these.

Favorite
I purchased the small tomato knife years ago, and wore it out, so I was pleased to find this set with the same small knife included. These knives really are sharp and do a great job in preparing food.

Yeah for Zyliss!
Am very happy with my knives. Zyliss makes the best garlic press in the world so thought I’d give their knives a try. Very happy and they sharpen up nicely. At first I wasn’t sure about the colors, preferring black, but now love the colors. I travel with them and in my utensil box I can easily spot the knife I want, and the sheath when it’s time to put them back. Very happy with my purchase.

Love them!
We have a set at home, & a set at our summer place. We’ve only had them for a few years, & they still work great! I especially like the blade covers to keep the blades safe, & the rubber on the handles to prevent the knives from slipping in your hands.

Great Cheap Knife Set
I had my first set of these for four years. When they got dull, I threw them out and bought another set. There is nothing special about these knives, they cut things and you really can’t beat the price.

Excellent little knives
Sick of dull knives and out of time to sharpen before the holidays, I ordered these on a whim. They exceeded all expectations. To say they are sharp is an understatement. We may have left the holidays with fewer fingers than we started, but nobody once complained about full knives!!!

Cute and safe!
Great knife set if you want some solid basic knives that will store safely in a drawer. I didn’t want a butcher block of knives on display in my kitchen, but didn’t want to get cut when I put my hand in the drawer either. These are a great solution. The knives are solid and the covers make storing them much safer. Plus they’re colorful and cute!

Really sharp knives for the price
I first found these knives at a rental vacation home. I was really impressed by how sharp they were, and I have been a dedicated user of Henckels and Wusthof knives. When I checked on Amazon, I was amazed at the low price. I have two sets of Zyliss knives now and with an occasional swipe on a steel, they have remained extremely sharp and get used everyday. With colorful plastic handles they aren’t as impressive as the German knives, but for everyday use they are great. I don’t use the included sheaths, but they fit fine and would be good for someone who uses them.

Favorite knives
I received these knives as a gift about three years ago and they quickly became my favorite knives. These are super-sharp; I have used them regularly for three years and have never needed to sharpen (I do hand wash them most of the time, which helps). I like that they are easy to identify by color in my dark cupboard. I like the sheaths, so I don’t impale myself while rummaging around looking for things.You can do everything except cut bread with this set; you don’t need a whole block of knives. These knives, plus a bread knife and a larger chef’s knife (for my biggest veggie chopping jobs), are all I ever use. Since receiving this set, I have bought it as a gift for others several times. It is the perfect set for someone just starting to keep house.Don’t spend hundreds of dollars: give these knives a try first!

Nice knife set for the price.
This is a nice little knife set especially for the price. All knives are sharp and perform well. They have the plastic sheaths so if you need to store them in a draw they will stay sharp and it also offers protection when you dig in said drawer. The only reason I did not give the set 5 stars is that the largest knife in the set is just an od size, not really large enough for most chopping but to big to peel with, but it would be useful for some tasks or when you just need any old knife.

Great little set of knives!
This is a great little set of knives. There are 2 paring-size knives, one with a straight edge and one with a serrated edge. Then there is a larger knife with a straight edge. They arrive very sharp and have stayed that way many months later. They each also come with a safety cover.I had a wood block of Henckels but gave them to away after purchasing this set because downsizing everything is my goal and this little set is all I need in the kitchen these days. This would also make a great gift for someone just setting up their first apartment.

Good knives, rust too easily
I just needed more paring and general kitchen knives. These looked good but I should have paid more attention to the “rust” factor. They’re inexpensive and I put them in the dishwasher but some have rust-colored spots that don’t come off completely, even with steel wool. That said, they cut well, the blades remain sharp and I use them all the time.

Won’t Last a Lifetime, but Great for Most Uses
Discovered these knives at a friend’s house and bought a set for our kitchen. For long-term use they will not replace fine German craftsmanship. For the price, they are terrific: very sharp, easy to use, and easy to clean and store. The “sheaths” that come with them make it easy to toss these into a drawer instead of needing a stand to protect the blades. Overall, a bargain.

NIce knives but photo wasn’t helpful.
These knives are not as small as I expected but are still nice. They are very sturdy. I did not look closely enough at the photo. Please notice up close that the shiny stainless portion is only a portion of the knife. The blade itself has a large honed portion that extends the width of the blade by more than 1/4″. I am sorry I didn’t pay more attention because what I wanted was thinner width blades for finer paring.

Perfect set!
Value for money.. I was looking for a set with different sizes and with a cover and not too many in number. This suited my needs perfectly that way. I have to say they are so sharp that I bruised my fingers minorly at 5 places after using them for 3 days. 😉 Take that positively and go ahead and buy them if you need one.

Get these! High quality at a great price-
I liked these so much that I ordered some for my mother-in-law. I’ve had mine about 6 months and they are my favorite ones. Ergonomic handles, sharp blades. I’ve sharpened 1 once since owning them, and it was more of a polishing than sharpening. Have family of 6 at home and use them every day.

Super sharp! I am so happy to finally find …
Just got these in the mail yesterday. First thing in order was to cut a slit in my toddlers “barely ripe” banana so I could peel it easier. Much to my surprise instead of a tiny slit to start the peel, I just lopped the whole top of the banana off! Super sharp! I am so happy to finally find a paring knife set that works like a dream!

Functional… but rusts without extra care
These knives are functional but were quick to develop rust spots. I am not super careful about my knives. They sometimes get left in the sink or put through the dishwasher which is not good for knives. Whatever. I have other knives that do totally fine with the same lack of care. I’ve had these less than a year & they were not heavily used in that time -in fact for whatever reason unrelated to rust none of these three were my go to knives. They are on the way to goodwill now so figured I’d review. For the price they are functional but I think even in this price range you can find better.

Cuts vegetables, fruit, tomatoes peaches easily. I use the larger red handle knife the most. I can chop much quicker than with ordinary knives. Makes my prep time go quickly

These are handy. Don’t expect them to stay sharp without using a stone now and then; they aren’t carbon steel. The serrated red knife cuts well, but an an angle. Maybe I can fix that with some sharpening…

I work In a kitchen where most of the chefs have very nice and expensive knives however I do not have the money to buy that kind of equipment so I was looking for a quality set of knives that wouldn’t break my bank and these are exactly what I was looking for! I originally bought a Zyliss paring knife by itself and I fell in love with using it at work so I decided this is my brand! I got the this Zyliss set a 6 pc kitchen knife set the bread knife and slicer knife all for less then $60! I am more then happy with my purchase! I have everything I need for my first knife kit and my knives are not easily confused with anyone else’s because of the beautifully colored no slip rubber grips which are also very nice! I highly recommend this brand to anyone looking for a nice professional knife set on a budget!

Still love them
I bought these about three years ago and I love them. I carry the small paring knife in my lunch bag to use when I have larger harder pieces of fruit, like apples or pears. I reach for the largest knife every time I’m prepping foods in the kitchen. These sharpen easily, clean easily and will cut through anything from partially frozen meat to tomatoes without fail. There have been zero issues with rust and the covers protect the blades during travel or in the drawer.

goodbye, old dull knives!
I didn’t realize how dull my old knives were until I got these! I only got them because I lost a little paring knife I’d had forever, and desperately needed a little knife. The lost knife eventually showed up (of course), but by then I didn’t care, because these are so much nicer and sharper. The colors make it easy to find the right one. And the covers let me throw them into a draw and not worry about getting cut when I reach in for something else. And it’s so nice to slice things without a struggle!

Chunks of steel missing.
I noticed the red one was very dull the other day. Looked closely at the bland and fairly good sized chunks of steel missing from the blade, about the size of fresh ground pepper from your pepper mill sized chunks. I have a lot of knives and I use the sheaths when I put them back in the draw so, wondering how that happened. The sheaths themselves can get broken as well like the tip of this red one, which also, now that I look at it has the tip broken off. I suppose they are OK if you plan on throwing them out. I like sheaths cause I do throw them in with lots of other knives, especially up at summer cottage, one big utensil draw.

Very nice set. I debated between these and a higher priced set. Glad I selected these. I have been struggling with dull knives for a long time. The first time I used the Zyliss knife, I cut right through a tomato without squishing the fruit! Amazing (for me!) I’ve heard one is more likely to get a cut from a dull knife….maybe that is true. But, I cut myself five times the first time I used these! Guess I will have to re-learn vegetable preparation now that I have sharp implements! Love the knives, the are easy to clean, store safely in their sheath, and are attractive. Buy them, you won’t regret it.

I love this knife set! The yellow paring knife is so easy to hold and use. The larger red knife is sharp but manageable. The sheaths are very easy to take on & off. I ran everything through the dishwasher, and have many times since. This product had held up to almost a year of wear & tear. These 3 knives are my go to for any cooking project!

Very pleased with the plain blades
Very pleased with the plain blades. Not so much with the serrated blade. I like all my plain blade Zyliss very much. Despite being inexpensive they are very sharp and remain sharp. I have bought many expensive knives over the year trying to find very sharp and not needing too much care and sharpening. Some have not been very sharp even when brand new. I’m sticking with Zyliss even though the colors make them look like toys.

Great set but do not neglect
Decided to buy a set for myself after enjoying the one I bought for my grandmother. Extremely sharp right out of the box however the yellow colored knife my grandmother owns has already chipped at the point and both of ours have several small rusted areas. It is a priority to dry after each wash or they will most certainly rust. Great set at a great price, just don’t neglect them.

Must have for Car Camping.
If you car camp, these are a must have. Maybe not for everyday use but they are essential for overnight, long weekend and other Car Camping outings. The sheaths make them easy to pack and intermix with other utensils like tongues and spatulas. We have used them to filet fish, eat steak and deal with a hobo that wouldn’t give up his spot under a bridge. Again, the sheath allows for packing into a backpack or pocket for easy access while fishing, hiking or just getting a hobo to sing.

Incredibly Sharp
Zyliss makes great products and this was no exception.These were the 2nd and 3rd set I’ve purchased this year, with the first for the office, the second for home and the third one a gift. These are very reasonably priced and offer a great value. The blades are incredibly sharp and will make regular kitchen work much cleaner and easier.

Fantastic knives for every use, but watch your hands!!
I needed some casual, non-fancy knives to use for chopping up fruit for my children. Everyday knives. My husband has a set of fancy Wustof knives but I find them large, heavy, and unwieldy and no one has time for that, amirite? These knives are easy to use, sharp, and cut quickly and beautifully. The only downside is that they are SO sharp and easy to use, I sliced two of my fingers with my first apple. NICE. Highly recommend.

Perfect for the money
Inexpensive, but work like more expensive knives! I’ve had them for years and I still love them! And they are still sharp after all this time. When I bought them my roommate was mad that they cut as well as his really expensive knives… The covers are also great! Because of the covers, you can store them safely in drawers or anywhere.
