For children under 4 years
My daughter was very excited when she opened her present. They are very adorable. Two out of the four pairs fit. she’s 4 years old and wears shoe size 9.5. If she plays with them for more than just a couple of minutes, they will hurt her feet and her feet will get swollen at about an inch above the toes. Overall, they look well-made they’re not for extended play or walking trips. I would recommend, but make sure that your child is probably no more than three years old.

Don’t last
They are cute. Love Melissa and doug but these shoes did not last a year. Got for my 4 year olds. The jewels and flowers came off shoes after 6 months. The pick pair cracked on bottom. Constant use they dont last long.

Cute and Fun
My daughter loves dressing up, so I searched for some cute shoes to help her along. M&D is such a good company, so I was happy to see they had some shoes that were also cute to boot (no pun). The shoes themselves are hard, so no walking to the store or park, but perfect for carpets in the home. The shoes are sturdy and solid, but the decorations on them are less so. Still, a great buy.

We love these shoes! the purple pair are difficult to wear because the straps are a bit too small at the top. Otherwise these are very popular with her. Worth the money. I love that they coordinate with the Melissa and Doug dress-up skirts we also have!

Way too small for a toddler
I ordered these dress up shoes for my Granddaughter’s 4th Birthday. She is just starting to wear a size 9 little kids size shoe. These were not comfortable on her at all. They were too tight across the foot and the edge of her heel was just slightly over the back edge of the shoe. She was falling down and She asked me to send them back because she was afraid of falling. So I am sending these back to the store and we will try to find something else. I was very surprised because These came from Melissa and Doug and usually their products are top notch. I was disappointed that they didn’t seem to know the age group of children that would be wanting to use these shoes. I should have listened to the other reviewers but let my trust in Melissa and Doug products I have purchased in the past make the decision. This was not a win.

Didn’t say size when ordering just age range my granddaughter just turned 5 It’s for 3-6 years but on package says to size 11 she couldn’t get them on the straps don’t give at all sending them back the shoe soles seemed sturdy would have been great for smaller feet

Got these for my 2.5 yr old daughter as an Easter present and my 4.5 yr old son loves them too! She even enjoys wearing the little blue slippers. All the shoes are fantastic quality. We did have one design fall off a purple shoe, but I sewed it back on in like a minute: no biggie.

Get these dress up shoes they will last
I purchased a few dress up sets that include shoes and have found these to be the best. They are not narrow like other brands and these have options to fit every stage of toddler life to grow with them. I love the flats especially as they are acting like slippers for my toddler. It’s also nice that you get two wedges, a small heel and a ballet flat. I would recommend these as a gift as they are a great value for the Money as they are well made. These will last and are worth the extra money.

Had to take a chance with sizing
I bought these for my 2.5 year old who wears toddler size 7 shoes. They all are too big which is fine because she can still walk around in them and will have more time to use them. The pink closed toed shoes fit a toddler size 12 but none of the others did.

I got it for my 2 year old niece, I know it wasn’t suggested, but I did anyway cus she like to dress up. She still bears they but they are too big.My other mice age of 5 tried too, and they were too tight for her so that brings me to age 4.They are sturdy and stable, fun dress up shoes for little princesses ⭐️

Nice quality, trusted brand!
I will always buy Melissa and Doug toys, and I ended up purchasing these for $10 on Black Friday and it couldn’t have been a better deal! Kids dress up clothes and shoes can be pretty expensive and cheap quality BUT these appear to be very nice and packaged well! May be a tad big for my almost 3 year old twins for a little bit but will have plenty of room to grow into. Will make for a great Christmas gift!

Size 9 Toddler Shoe, Do NOT Buy if size is over that.
I got these for my daughter’s fourth birthday as she loves wearing my heels and playing dress up. I was going to purchase the off brand shoes until I came across these Melissa and Doug play shoes, and who doesn’t love M&D?! They normally always have quality toys that last.I did see a lot of reviews stating they received two of a right or left shoe, but we didn’t have that issue. Each shoe came with a left and right. The shoes themselves seem to be made of decent quality plastic, and the bottoms have small patches of dotted gripper material to help keep traction.My daughter went insane over these and immediately tried every shoe on. Let me say, if your child has a size 10 toddler foot….DO NOT buy these! My daughter wears a size 9 in Carters, Walmart shoes, Target Shoes, Nikes, etc. She’s pretty on point for all brands in a size 9, and these Melissa and Doug shoes fit her to a T! Not one centimeter to spare. So, again, if your child’s foot is in a 9 1/2, do not buy these thinking they will fit. I’ll post a picture later of my daughter in the shoes.As for no slip…I have laminate hardwood floors and this kid skated across my floor, and almost fell countless times in the wedges until she got on the rug. I might take the bottom and file it/rough it up some to see if it’ll help, but right out the box, these are slippery which is so odd as we’ve had the super cheap ones before and even then she was able to keep her balance more. Heck she puts on my 5 inch stiletto’s (i.e. before kids, LOL) and struts around fine.And lastly, as for do they hurt her feet? The answer is yes. Yes they do. The purple shoes are tighter than the rest around the top of her foot, and she can barely squeeze her feet in there, and in just a few minutes of trying all of them on and attempting to walk, her little foot was starting to get red. And she does not have wide feet. She took after me with slim, narrow feet.In the end, she still loves these, but is frustrated she can’t wear them but for a few minutes until her feet start to hurt. I did try grip socks (the socks with the rubber on the bottom so she didn’t slide out the shoe with socks on), and it made it way more tight to where she couldn’t get them on well. Maybe they just need to be broken in, and I might try this weekend to manually shove the back of the plastic up some, and bend what I can to help make them comfortable. For the price, it was $13, it definitely is a steal if your child’s foot is size 9 toddler or below. I think a smaller size foot would help the comfort level.
