Durable and easy to fly
This is a great little entry-level rc airplane it has a nice built in gyro that makes it very easy to control for anyone that has never flown rc airplanes its very durable we have crashed many times and has great flying habits. This has been a pleasure to own and my family and I have enjoyed hours of fun. We purchased a few others on Amazon that flew terrible and where nothing but a disappointment-spend a little more on this model its worth every penny.I purchased a second airplane for my daughter who is 12 and she is flying like a boss. Loads of fun for the family.

A MUST HAVE for beginners!!!! Extremely durable! and the 2 batteries last about 24 min each!!!!
This is the first RC plane I’ve ever owned and it is SO MUCH FUN!!!! There are 3 modes: Beginner (pull upper-right side switch towards you), Intermediate, and Advanced (push upper-right side switch away from you). Beginner mode makes jumping into this hobby a breeze. The stability control system keeps the plane steady and makes it extremely user friendly for ALL! I found myself in intermediate mode after 20 minutes in beginner. After another 2 hours and a couple crashes I am now operating in Advanced mode which is challenging. The stability system in this mode is turned off and so the flight controls are very responsive, making the plane incredibly acrobatic. This plane can take a beating! I’ve nosed dived into the ground, crashed into a tree, landed it in a swamp, and it’s still going like new. Although I’ve had to reinforced parts of it with super glue and duct tape. It is so light and glides so well that the flight time between both batteries will easily last 45 minutes. And it charges in less than an hour! I can’t recommend this enough. Right out of the box you’ll be flying this thing in a matter of minutes.UPDATE (7/25/20)Just nosed dived into the sandy part of a baseball field and the nose snapped right off but all the flight controls and throttle are still operable! I’ve been repairing the aircraft with epoxy resin and have experienced no degradation in flight performance. MUST HAVE!!!!

Ranger 600 is pretty good
Don’t know why ppl saying that this plane is bad …I flew today for first time and only bad thing I can say is that the battery that is supplied works but is too light for glider and motor needs to be stronger along with propeller needs to be bigger as well as a three blade to push better …I bought some 3.7v 600mah and plane flew perfect as well as lasting well over 30 mins while gliding …I put three Pennie’s in nose with the 500s and it flew similar to the 600…I’m sure this plane could handle 800s as easy as it flew with the 600s

A fun little glider!
I have been flying RC airplanes for 40 yrs. I daughter told me my 9 yr. & 11 yr old grandsons was interested in leaning how to fly RC planes. So I bought 2 of these gliders for my 2 grandsons. I was amazed how well these planes flew. In fact, with the first flight, me at the stick to trim & make sure the plane will fly, with a light breeze, hand tossed at full throttle into the breeze, the plane took to the air, at still full throttle, I backed down the throttle, but the plane kelt climbing, it caught a thermal. I had to force the plane down with some down stick. All that was done to the plane out of the box was charge the two batteries that came with the plane and add 4 AA batteries to the transmitter. The planes were good to fly out of the box. I highly recommend using the beginner mode on the 3 select switch. Now my grandsons are flying on their own with very little help from me, they’re hand launching and landing without help!I highly recommend this plane for young kids interested in this hobby.

Great plane for beginners!
This is a great way to learn how to fly an RC plane. I wish this type of technology was around 20 yrs ago when I was crashing planes in order to learn. I bought this product because a colleague and I were talking about getting active in the hobby again and I wanted to try to get my skills back before flying my expensive airplanes. I’ve been out with it 3 times already and I will be turning off the gyro assist modes on my next flight. I highly recommend this or a similar plane for beginners. There’s nothing more heartbreaking than pouring several hundreds of dollars and hours of your time into a beautiful plane that you bring home in pieces after the maiden flight. Hone your skills first!

The propellers are brittle and break easily
The plane is cool out of the box and fully functional. I gave a generous 2 stars on all because we only had about 12 flights in 40 mins before all the props broke! The propellers are meant to pop off to save the drive train. An ok idea I thought. Problem is the propellers are made of cheap brittle plastic. 3 extras came. We flew it maybe 12 times the first day in a grassy field. All the propellers snapped off one of the props! Only one was a hard landing into a tree. The rest on soft grass…but they all broke! Days fun over. Now I have to pay $17 plus shipping for 6 more?! The plane was about $130 + shipping. It’s a scam. Either make the propellers out of a more durable flexible not brittle plastic or your intent is clear….make easily breakable propellers that cost maybe 10cents to make, sell them for 6 @ $17 and laugh all the way to the bank. I promised my kid we’d try again in hopes of finding a non oem manufacturer for new propellers, otherwise will return and never do business with these people or that brand. You’ve been warned!

Not bad for an inexpensive plane
When I opened the package and saw that the plane was made out of Styrofoam I was skeptical. When I hit a sign directly on the wing I was expecting major damage but there was barely a split. The thing kept on flying. The balance is off and it’s so light that every time I try to land it will flip over. Not a big deal as it’s only going 2mph at that point. I did split the propeller somehow so I’m glad that the package comes with 2 more as they seem very thin and probably won’t last that long. It’s pretty easy to fly once you get use to the controls.

Easy as heck to fly.
Great little plane, lots of fun. Having a bit of trouble getting it trimmed up on expert mode, but I’m happy flying it on intermediate.. can be a little tough to see at times . As soon as I fly the swallows come out to dog fight. Good times.

Good value for beginners
This has been a fun little purchase. I’ve been flying RC helicopters for several years, decided to slide into the world of RC fixed wing. This little thing, being a styrofoam plane, is surprisingly durable. As one could imagine, I’ve had a few bumps and bangs getting acquainted with the controls, but having a beginners, intermediate, and expert settings lets you get more comfortable with flight control before diving headfirst into an advanced setting that would just dishearten you trying to learn. My ONLY complaint is that the landing gear is basically just for decoration. The wheels, also styrofoam, will not freewheel for any amount of love or money. Therefore I’ve had to learn to float and glide into a controlled crash to land and can only takeoff releasing from my hand, takeoff from the ground is impossible as the plane will just nose forward into the ground since the wheels won’t turn easily.

A bit hard to Controll!
This plane is very resistant to crashing. Beware! It’s pretty fast. Make sure to use it where there are absolutely no trees! Fun, fun, Lots of fun.I am revising my post as this plane is a bit harder to control than would be expected. Spend more time getting it down from trees than actually flying it. I used this in a community soccer field wide enough to fit about 4-5 soccer fields together. Despite my best attempts, even in beginners mode it was hard to control.I was flying it and just lost control of it. I kept trying to turn it back but just kept flying away. Eventually found it a top of a 80 foot tree. No way to get it down. I even found the propeller but the plane is way up high and no way to get it down, unless I cut the tree down, which is not plausible. After three days of trying to learn how to fly this rc plane, it was a bit disappointing and costly to loose it !

You’re gambling with this one.
It would’ve been a good plane for teaching beginners due to the pusher design. And it would be a great plane if it didn’t glitch out for no reason…or at least had replacement parts available! Ours worked for a couple weeks (flew it about 5-6 times when it wasn’t raining) and then it was pretty much full time wet and cold here in Seattle. It was easy to fly and there’s no motor/prop up front to suffer immediate damage on a new pilots first few “landings”. The next time we went to fly..about 4 months later, the motor would immediately spool up when the battery was connected. It didn’t matter the throttle position. Tried re-binding it, new battery in plane, new batteries in transmitter…nothing worked. There’s no parts for it anywhere. Because of it’s size and flying weight it’s not worth the cost or time buying proper RC parts that are small and light enough and then basically rebuilding it to get everything to fit and function. Even then it’s unlikely to fly the same.It would’ve been great for my kid to learn with if it worked for a reasonable amount of time or was repairable…but for anything more than $40-$50 it’s not worth the gamble. At least it wasn’t for me or my kid. It would have been so much better to have paid twice the amount and gotten a proper serviceable aircraft…because when you’re trying to get a kid interested in something, you only have so much time and so many chances before the whole thing becomes too much frustration and disappointment for them.

Disposable airplane at a price too high
Likes:+ The airplane is very lightweight and takes off very easily, with minimal rolling or release from a friend’s hand+ The gyro-based beginner, intermediate and advanced modes are a great way to ease into learning to fly it+ The disposable and removable propellers are a nice approach for handling rough landings+ The engine runs for a reasonable amount of time, about 10-15 minutes per flightDislikes:- It’s very easy to lose when flying at a distance. Impossible to tell which direction it’s heading, it’s then gone.- The u-turn mode didn’t work for us. It needs a better “return to home” feature.- The build quality is very low. Our first purchase lost the lower wing “wire” link at the fuselage. The second purchase began flying erratically and uncontrollably, hovered like a helicopter, then dove deep into a forest.- The landing gear are only useful for takeoffs and possible for landing on smooth concrete. Landing on asphalt, the gear snaps off and scratches the lower nose. Landing on grass, it’s a smoother landing without the gear.- The styrofoam build quality is poor. The aileron on our second purchase of this plane was cracked on arrival.- Price/value: I’d pay $40-50 for it again, but it’s cheap fragile styrofoam and plastic, not worth over $100.- The Asurion insurance doesn’t cover the most frequent scenario: Loss of the plane (due to a gyro, control failure, or disorientation during distant flight)

Loved it, very durable
This plane did much better than I expected. The auto stabilizing feature works great. I had other more expensive planes that I kept crashing due to my inexperience. This VOLANTEXRC RC Airplane enabled me to start with stabilization until I mastered it. Then I could switch to semi-manual and then full manual control when I felt comfortable. If I got into any trouble I could switch to manual before I crashed and the plane would immediately level out. Love this feature.Another nice feature was the safety propeller. It would snap off if you crashed and not break, then you just snap it back on. It also came with a spare propeller, nice. Landing gear could be better or they could provide spares, then it would have gotten 5 stars all the way down. Also came with a spare battery, got about 20-22 min. of flight on each battery.Highly recommend this plane for beginners & intermediate flyers. Now if I could just get the stablization to add on my bigger planes that would be great.Enjoy your flight.

Very good no wind park flyer
Got this to teach my brother to fly. This plane is by no means maneuverable, being that it’s only elevator and rudder, with that being said, for the money it’s really great for a beginner with plenty of room to fly. It seemed to have good range and worked with minor adjustments out of the box. With the battery all the way forward the plane did need a little weight in the nose for it to not be so twitchy in the the pitch axis (elevator). It flew alright without the weight, but after adding and re trimming the plane, it was significantly smoother and handled more like a bigger rc plane. All in all, it’s worth the money.

Some good points but overall doesn’t meet expectations
The foam is durable and of good quality. The motor is powerful and more than sufficient for the aircraft size and weight. The gyroscope is a nice feature and seems to do what it is intended to do. The major flaw is with the controller and with yaw authority. Even on the expert setting, full rudder deflection fails to create a reasonable turn rate. I flew RC airplanes for many years, including plenty of 3-channel designs. This one simply doesn’t turn well. The wing design appears to lack sufficient dihedral for the small rudder surface. The flaw with the controller is that it doesn’t command the servos to return to neutral when the stick is released. With a typical RC controller, input is only commanded as long as you hold the stick in a given position. As soon as you let the stick return to neutral, the controller commands the servo to neutral. With this controller, in expert mode, if you command an input, the servo stays in that position until you input a command in the opposite direction. So, effectively, you have to force the controls to neutral, which is non-intuitive. I’m not sure if this is a flawed design or an error with the function of my controller. I’m disappointed overall and will probably return it.

Returned
The fact that can be returned is a 5 stars, however, as far as durability it’s not recommended. Had it on one short flight, and next day didn’t fly, it was backing up instead of moving forward. Not sure if it was a remote setup, but I did resets and played with the remote as per manual and never changed from moving backwards on a slow speed. The material also look very fragile and not durable for crashes. Props are not fixed sturdy and could move from the base as the glue on foam does not look promising, that will cause lifting issues.Overall all If you are very careful in using it, and find the price on deal as it could worth half of what its priced now, then you might give it a chance with a good luck.Seller is 5 stars as far as overall transaction.

You can do this!
Quite frankly, I struggled getting the place ready as a gift for my grandson. I could not get the motor to turn even though I followed the instructions (they are very clear) to the letter. I got nothing. I set the plane aside and came back a few hours later to restart the process. Lo and behold, it worked. I haven’t flown it yet, but I am excited to be there for the time my grandson does indeed fly it! It looks like the material it is made of will take a number of crashes that I know will occur.

Lots of Fun
I purchased this for my grandchildren, 9 and 12 years old. They have a lot of fun with it. It is hard for them to control and has suffered multiple hard crashes. The nose cracked after one particularly hard crash (picture). I used super glue to repair. After a few more hard crashes, the nose broke again about half an inch from the first repair. This time I used epoxy and reinforced the repair with a lamination of cloth. While it is difficult for the young ones to control, it has been well worth the money for the experience and fun they have had.Disclaimer: I have no previous experience with RC aircraft.Added Info: After several sessions the 12 y.o. has done loops and vertical stalls, the 9 y.o. is able to make extended flights and land without hard crashes. Excellent beginner aircraft.

A good quality plane that flies well.
A nice good quality plane. Tips: Fly over and land on grass. Make sure the battery cable is tucked down into the little hole so that it doesn’t get in the way of the steering servo motors. Don’t give it full throttle until you’re familiar with it. Fly in a wide open space at least the size of half a soccer field.

Got it caught wat up in a tree first time we used it and can’t get it down. seemed to fly OK. Disappointed that I am stuck with a control and can’t just buy another airplane that is compatible. Gave it 3 starts (average) only because didn’t get to fly it very long.

Awesome Little Plane
This is the first and only RC plane I’ve bought and it’s awesome! Comes fully assembled in a box that works to store it safely too. I was too excited to get out and fly and chose to risk it in 20-30mph winds. It held up alright flying in those gusts. I crashed it into trees and the ground a whole lot of times and it held up completely. The controller settings are great and dampen the sensitivity of your inputs and help keep it level. I found it best to use the “expert” setting because it is fairly easy to control, but if you need to act quick to avoid a crash (or as I discovered, a hawk) it is best to have the sharp inputs. And again, I beat this thing up pretty bad and the wing only chipped a tiny bit after multiple crashes into a metal fence, so seriously sturdy.Charging the batteries is easy, but the included charger IS NOT a smart charger, so definitely make sure to set a timer. I also bought a charging/storage bag for the batteries as a precaution; the batteries are small, so you can get away with the small bags with room to add more in future.

Great Little Plane
Even though this plane is made of styrofoam, it’s pretty durable! My dad bought one of these and on his first flight crashed it into a light post, and it didn’t take much damage at all. Later on, he found he was losing control of his plane when he flew it, possibly something wrong with the electronics. But he sent it back and got a replacement at no charge! The different flight modes make this much more fun and easy to fly than it would be otherwise. This plane takes off within just a few feet and climbs great. The expert mode is really fun, although I generally only use it when the plane is at least 100 feet in the air. I often lose control in expert mode since I’m not too experienced, so this plane should have crashed dozens of times if it weren’t for the different difficulty modes. I simply switch back to beginner mode and it straightens out of its tailspin or nose dive or whatever, which makes me more comfortable trying out complex aerobatics and risky maneuvers (as long as the plane is high enough). Anyway, this is an absolute joy to fly and has really helped break the monotony of quarantine. My dad and I often fly together. We make sure we pair our planes when they’re both on the ground, though. Every once in a while, one controller pairs to both planes, so we always make sure our controllers are paired to the correct planes before taking off. I would recommend this plane to anyone!

Easy to fly, fun!
This little plane is amazing for the price. 10 years ago this would have been crazy expensive, and this tech wasn’t mature enough to be viable….they had tiny RC planes, but they were difficult to fly for your average pilot. The beginner mode and intermediate mode work very well and make flying this little plane a breeze. Any one who knows the basics of flying can fly in beginning mode. I flew it on expert for a little bit, to do some aerobatics, I don’t recommend it unless you are VERY experienced. It was really squirrely in expert mode and can get out of hand in hurry, and the wind even a little bit can really mess you up. I have only flown this plane 3 times, once in my front yard, twice in my alley behind my house using the dirt road as a run way. It needs to have a smooth runway or it will nose over. The wheels are very small. I took it off in a track I made with my truck tire and that worked fine, but I wasn’t precise enough to land it in the track for both flights back there and it nosed over on the landing from the bumpy road, it landed fine on the black top on the street in front of my house. The good news is NO Damage. I also dropped it from shoulder height while removing the battery, also no damage. The flight times are very long, I didn’t notice any decrease in power before I landed and was up each time for several minutes, I didn’t time it but it felt like I was flying for a while. Half throttle is more than enough power for normal flying, it still gains altitude even slightly below half throttle. To sum it all up, I highly recommend this plane to any one who knows the basics of flying RC.

A great plane for beginners or more experienced pilots!
My son and I both really enjoy this plane. It has unbelieve able flight duration for the battery size. Also Lots of power ,and flight Modes for Dad and Son alike. We live in an open area with lots of wind and we can fly just fine. We enjoy hovering against the wind and picking it out of mid air. I have larger planes, but for an after supper fly in the back yard, this one can’t be beat. Ours is banged up because of too many near ground stunts. I take full responsibility . We will get another one. A cheap, enjoyable hobby. Get one. Have some Dad and Son time.

1st time out, pretty good
This is our first ever rc plane. I like that it is flexible styrofoam. When it landed it did not break. One propeller has broken. The book shows a wheel in the back, but ours didn’t come with one and I don’t see where it could even be attached. It flies well when when thrown. It doesn’t take off from the ground that we can figure out so far. Batteries are very short…maybe 15 minutes. 2 came, but with only 1 charger. Some of us understood the controller faster than others.

DO NOT RECOMMEND
Gifted to our teenage son who flies other RC aircraft for Christmas. Blue sky day, no wind, walked to an outdoor soccer field with soft artificial turf surface. Upon one landing attempt it went down and broke the whole fuselage in half and bent the engine shaft. $100 for 15 minutes of fun. This was not a hard crash on a hard surface with a fast moving and heavy RC aircraft. Would not recommend this product.

Great value. Be patient before first flight
Be patient before flying. Take time to understand the controls and how the plane is trimmed out through the controller. Test gliding is a must before powered flight. 6-axis stabilization system should basically bring the test Glide in on a soft Landing pattern. Do not fly in heavy rain until you’re confident and familiar with this planes capability and how to control. If not, chances are you’ll lose it or put it up in a tree or on top of the building. This plane is very responsive and flies extremely well. However you do need to be able to control it. Extremely durable. A great buy for a beginner. Just be smart and have plenty of room more than you think

Really fun
To start, it’s a great RC. I got this as a Christmas gift and went for a couple of flights, and I took it to a large park. Range is very far, gyro works well, and it’s incredibly easy to fly. Unfortunately it is not aerobatic at all so if you like areobatics this plane isn’t for you. It’s fast, but one day I attempted a backflip, and it nosedived into the ground and the canopy flew off it two pieces. I made about 30 flights that each lasted about 20 minutes. Great overall! (You can get broken pieces again off of exhobby)

The very best for the money. Get one.
These are the greatest small planes I have ever flown. I have turned them on to my friends and they have all gotten one. If you’re looking for a great plane for a beginner or even experienced pilot, Start here. They take lots of abuse, they have the longest flight time of any battery operated plane I have flown and they do pretty good in most mild wind. Can’t beat the price. I bought several different styles of these. Love them.

Great Park Flyer
I’ve had 2 other airplanes almost exactly like this called The Sky Cruiser of which they no longer produce. Since I couldn’t get another Sky Cruiser I settled for what I thought would be a cheap knock off. The wings of the Volantex are not removable. The con being the storage box is kind of bulky. The pro is the wings can not come off in flight. (The cause of death of my last airplane.) I didn’t expect much from this plane but figured it’s under 100 bucks so it’s worth a shot. Well this plane flew perfect right out of the box. No trim needed to be added so I didn’t have to tweak the flight control push rods at all. My other planes also needed weight to be added ( 2 nickels taped in the nose.)I flew this plane on a day with a bit of wind so I only did several short flights so I didn’t push my luck. The plane only has rudder and elevator so it doesn’t turn on a dime. So be sure you have room for a wide turn.Power off it has an excellent glide ratio. The plane is made of a very durable foam, so it will take a licking. The nose hatch is also foam rather than plastic and is a bit cumbersome to remove, but once you get the hang of it it’s not bad. It’s also supposed to have an auto return function which is not mentioned in the instructions at all. Speaking of the instructions, they are not the best. I really wish Chinese manufactures would at least have people with good English skills write for them. The transmitter has 3 modes of gyro assist Beginner, Intermediate and expert so I would say this would be an excellent first airplane. Over all, even with some of my gripes, this is hands down the best park flyer I’ve ever flown.

Very difficult to recover from even a second off the throttle
When I got it, I couldn’t get it to go high or low without throwing it while at max throttle. I also had to rely on the engine to go higher or lower, and the battery life is not great.

Not very durable!
My son got this for Christmas, it lasted a week before both wings broke off.

Off we go into the wild blue yonder
Grandson loves it. I will have to let you know in a few months if it is durable. He ran his last one into the garage, pilot error. He says it’s easy to fly and lots of fun. Go get one. (p.s. I don’t work for the maker of the plane or Amazon, fyi).

Fun to fly
Anyone that has a wife or girl friend or even a first time flyer will be happy with this plane. My sons girl friend has never flown before. She had no problems learning with this plane. I would recommend anyone that wants to learn how to fly give this plane a try.

This plane inspired me to get a better plane. Immediately.
I’m confused by all of the positive reviews for this plane. Maybe I have a defective board, but digging through the 1-star reviews I see others with similar experiences. This plane doesn’t work consistently. The flight modes don’t behave anything like E-Flite planes with SAFE and it seems to change modes when it takes a hard landing. Constantly having to disconnect and re-connect the battery to get it to a slightly more functional state. I was never able to get “beginner” mode to stabilize the plane, it would just stop responding to control inputs, or become jerky and delayed. It was so bad I thought the rod connecting the elevator was bound up, but after power cycling it goes back to almost-working.One of the biggest problems is that it will get into a state in which the rudder and the elevator don’t return to center, so you are always struggling to figure out where center is. But it’s not easy to get it flying long enough to realize that because the plane just isn’t powerful enough to fly. The thrust to weight ratio is only barely enough keep it moving forward, there’s nothing extra to get you out of trouble or even make more than a wide slow turn and the control surfaces don’t allow you to make any quick maneuvers or fight any wind whatsoever. You would need a very large open area with absolutely zero wind to have anything approaching a successful flight. If I had access to an indoor football stadium this might work out okay, but I don’t.Some good points:- It is durable and can take some hard hits (and it will).- The foam is easy to repair.- The rear-facing prop keeps it safe during landing (crash or otherwise)- Radio binding is quick- The included controller is adequateSome more bad points:- The battery slot was designed for a round battery, but it ships with a flat 1S lipo. There is nowhere to place the batter that it can be secured reliably without wires interfering with the servos. This also means that attempting to balance the plane using the battery position is finicky at best. I was able to shove the battery into the canopy lid, but only after some hot-glue repairs kept it from sliding out without tape.- Rudder is difficult to center, out of the box it was only really able to turn one direction- Elevator was not centered out of the box, full up was barely level, anything else was a nosedive.- There’s just not enough throw to control this thing with the small control surfaces.Maybe it’s a quality control problem? Conclusion: Get a UMX Turbo Timber and practice in RealFlight – The Ranger 400 was too small, too unstable and not even really worth trying to fix or modify.

This is a My First Airplane only! – but a very decent My First Airplane
Images on Amazon of this product depict ailerons. The airframe is clearly designed for aileron servos and control linkages. The box even looks like it’s designed for something with aelerons. The power train with gyro stabilization and tramsmitter come in similar sized airframes with 4 channels for the same price point. So discovering that this model was 3 channel in the initial unboxing was quite disappointing. However, this Ranger 600 3 -channel is quite appropriate for a 1st time flyer. Out of the 3 different models in this…”category” that I have flown (400mm P -51, 500mm Supercub, 600mm Ranger; all 1S lipo powered gyro stab RTFs) it is the only one whose “expert” flying mode is comfortable. “Expert” mode on these things simply means “gyro off” I.E. regular DIY flying. The Cub and the P -51 are so small and light that the gyro is kind of necessary if there is any air movement at all. This thing, however, is actually completely flyable with no gyro. The upshot is that, although I personally was less than enamoured with this model because it was not exactly what I thought I was going to get, and I personally don’t need a “my 1st RC airplane”, I can confidently say that this would be an excellent choice for someone who wants to find out if RC flying is for them. Out of these Top Flight/Volantex/Eachine single cell lipo gyro stab planes that I have tried, this is the one that goes from training wheels to no training wheels with ease; making it a great confidence builder to get to a hobby grade aircraft. Out of the 3 I have tried, this one is the least fun to fly for my son and I, but – again – we werent looking for a 1st plane, we were looking for more planes. Also worth noting that this Ranger’s glide characteristics are far less…”glider-y” than the larger models with the same moniker and form. This turns out to be a good thing as the radio range on these planes is not great, there is no failsafe on the receiver, and the thing weighs 55g – less than 2 oz! – in the air, so catching thermals with it would not be a good way to continue owning the plane. If you already have RC experience, you will find this plane quite lackluster. If you have never done this before, you will find this plane to be a great introduction to the hobby.

So much fun
This Rc plane is wonderful even after progressing to more than 9 other planes including warbirds and jets. You can fly this airplane in more spaces than you can fly the more advanced aircraft and still bring it home undamaged. It flies very fast especially pulling out of dives from high above. You can Also putt around all you want for about 20 minutes on a 500 battery. Yes, It takes hotter batteries easily and does all the stunts whether doing it yourself on expert or using the auto stunt button which is just so cool. Now this can ONLY happen if you spend a week or as long as it takes to master flying using one of the Rc airplane apps. Don’t even think about flying without mastering flying on your phone. Of course that’s where the bad reviews stem from. You have to be the pilot of any Rc plane, even though the adds on the packaging etc says otherwise. So definitely acquire one of these or a fleet. Very fun activity to add to your life.

Needed a little work…
The wing is a little warped so rather than running a lot of right aileron trim I dropped the left trim tab a little bit to compensate. The airplane is a bit tail heavy so I glued 4 bb sized fishing weights inside the front cowling. The first time I turned off the xpilot it turned into real bucking bronco, incapable of level flight without constant intervention to avoid stalling. The added weight makes it fly nice and smooth like a piper cub should without need for the xpilot. I really like the xpilot for hand launching but I turn it off as soon as the cub has some altitude. Its a really fun airplane to fly after said modifications. I would recommend it for beginners. The merging of drone stabilization technology with a conventional airplane is a great idea.

Best plane to learn how to fly hands down
Almost indestructible and once you get good you can fly it pretty much anywhere

Great little plane
Bought this plane because the cheapo RC plane I had wasn’t enough plane but I didn’t want to go too big. First impression from 2 days flying is that it is awesome. The plane has a lot more power than I expected for something so small, and I end up flying it on maybe 50% power most of the time. On the flip side, it can fly really slow and stay in the air. This makes landings harder as I really have to figure out how much space I need to bring it in, but that’s a learning curve thing, not a defect. I crashed it once really hard, cracking a wing and breaking the propeller. Some super glue on the wing and a replacement prop had me ready to fly again the next day with no performance issues that my novice eyes could see.Overall, on just over one battery life worth of flying, I am super pleased with it.

Cool plane but mine just flew away on me after 7
I got it and charged it fully and waited till there was no wind and it flew grate till it either lost connection or the battery died and with no worning I lost all control and it was gone just flew away in a straight line and I can’t find it now and customer support sounds like they are underwater so I can’t get help there so I probably wouldn’t buy this unless you own a huge field or a gym to fly this in and not loose it please send me a new on that was a lot off money for 7 min
