Season after season, the 1830 Arctix Women’s Cargo Snow Pants serve as an outstanding value priced ski/snow pants and a versatile cornerstone of the Arctix line. These pants feature a 100% Polyester Dobby shell with ThermaLock W/R + W/P 3000mm Coating, offering a maximum degree of durability and protection from the elements, while allowing a full range of motion. 85 grams ThermaTech Insulation offers warmth in a lightweight, low bulk garment, keeping you warm at temperatures from -20° to +35° depending on your level of activity. DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) helps repel water from fabric surface. Articulated knees allow for a more unrestricted range of motion and comfort as you climb, hike, or ski/snowboard. The adjustable waist ensures a comfortable fit, while boot zippers make them easy for on and off access over boots. Boot gaiters with grippers form a seamless integration with the boots to keep the warmth in, and the moisture out. These relaxed fit pants also include 600 Denier Ballistic reinforced ankle, scuff and hem guards to hold up against daily wear & tear, and conveniently has cargo pockets for extra storage and an O-ring for keys, gloves and/or lift tickets. The pants provide zippered hand warmer style pockets, a zippered fly, and belt loops. They are water and wind resistant, and are machine washable. Sizing options include a Short 29″ inseam (5’1″ – 5’4″ heights), Regular 31″ inseam (5’5″ – 5’8″), and Tall 33″ inseam (5’9″ – 6’1″).

    Well made, and great fit!

These pants fit just as I hoped they would. I am 5’8″, 139 lbs, and normally wear a 6-8. I ordered a medium so I can wear leggings underneath, and they work well with them. The color is also great! The only reason that I didn’t give them a 5 star rating is because they came with a long sticker (about 8″ long and 3″ wide) on one leg stating the size. When I removed the sticker, it left a sticky residue. I have already washed them once, but it did not come out. I think it will need something like GooGone, but I am worried that may cause an even greater stain. You might be luckier and get some without a sticker. I would exchange them, but need them for a trip to Iceland, and don’t have time to wait for another pair.

    Run small

I usually wear a size 6. I ordered a size 8. And it was too small. These are ski pants, not really for every day where unless you live in heavy snow

    They did good

Like you get what you pay for. They are good and I wore them snowboarding with legging under. I was warm but water did leak through. I would recommend just saving a getting a good pair but it was a last minute day trip so they served their purpose

    Great length, waist fits small

The length on the pants is exactly what I needed (29” inseam) but the waistband runs small in my opinion. I normally wear 8/10 but ordered the large 12/14 and they were still a little small.

Good if you’re New to Skiing

Im a beginner and it was perfect. Used it once and I already got a tear on the inside. Wore it with Underarmor leggings and it was very insulated and worked perfectly as protection (due to pants padding).I’m 5’2 and weight about 140lbs. The small felt too snug on my hips and I couldnt bend my knees. The medium felt spacious and allowed movement. The medium was bigger on my waist but the adjustable straps helped- you could also buy some sort of ski belt if you want a tighter fit on your waist too. Length wise- it was long but with the boots on, it wasn’t bad!

    Nice, comfy and affordable

Nice, warm and comfy. Usually a M short size 8-10, but had to go L short to accommodate my curvy hips. Multiple pockets and lightweight. Only issue I had was the Velcro on the waist kept loosening up, but it could just be me not putting it on properly, otherwise I’m satisfied and happy with my purchase. Also, try to get a darker color, since I found two small stains that I’m not able to remove. I was going for darker color, but this was the only color avail in my size for the time that I need it. Will definitely buy this brand again. If you’re on a budget and can’t afford the expensive brands, this is another option.

Short and Fat – These Fit!

I am a size 18-20 and 5’1″ish with an hourglass figure. I have a terrible time finding pants that fit, if they fit my wide butt and hips, they are way too long, if they are short enough and fit my wide butt and hips, they gap at my (proportionally) tiny waist. These are great! The waist is adjustable, the legs are short enough (with snow boots), and it has room for my wide load.I have worn them to shovel multiple deep snows, one in negative temps, and they are warm and comfortable. My only complaint is the way the pants close, it’s one of those side facing slides that fit into a small metal square (hopefully that makes sense) and it can be hard to get it to snag. I fear that if these pants fail, it will be that snap.

Really decent product. Sizing is large by one size.

Yes, it is correct. The sizing is off. I’m 6′ 3″, 180 lbs and I wear a 32″ waist. These pants (4 pairs so far) are warm, comfortable and fashionable. I’m a man who likes pink. These pants fit me just fine because I ordered one size down. The men’s pants are the same. I would highly recommend these pants AND I will continue to buy them as an affordable alternative to the bigger brands. Arctix has a whole line of winter clothing worth checking out. These pants are very cheap for what you get. They aren’t Ar’cterryx, but we already knew that. They are a great affordable snow pant.

    Excellent snow pants…love love

PRICE AND PURPOSE: For the price these are great and I was looking at other name brand snow pants for $257.00 – and took them back after ordering these as these were very comparable and basically the same – so so glad I found these at this price as saved so much money!I purchased to walk dog and blow snow in cold michigan weather. Tested out so far in 30 degree weather, and a nasty west wind – these pants kept me perfectly warm.FIT/SIZE: I am a size 10 in pants/pear shape and ordered the large vs medium as I wanted to slip these over pants I was wearing – leggings, jeans, fleece sweats – large was a good choice – fits a bit big but I prefer that and the medium would probably be tight over jeans (medium probably would be just right for my size with leggings only). These snow pants fit also high enough at waist where the cold air doesn’t get under my coat – a huge plus in cold Michigan winters – nothing worse than feeling cold air on your back when your bending over with windshields that get down to 10 degrees or less in michigan! They are secured with a zipper, two snaps, and Velcro (so certainly won’t slip off while moving) and loved the front leg pocket to put my phone in. They also don’t make much swooshing noises (which I liked) like many snow pants do when walking – but they do make some noise.LENGTH: Only issue I have is I’m 5’3 and these are too long on me – wish they were shorter (not looking like I can get shortened because of bottom feature of pant has an interior elastic banded leg feature that fits inside the bottom of the actual outside leg – nice feature to keep snow out of the snow pants). However, I have to “rig” them up with the top of my boot tongues so they don’t drag in the snow, slush, or slop of winter – so I found this very annoying….wish they had length options!Overall, love them and would recommend for those who want to stay warm without much “style” as they are slightly bulky but I expected that for the price and don’t mind it. If your looking for style…probably need to pay the price for spyders brand. Bottom line to all – I would definately buy these again and highly recommend them.

    Comfortable, but concerning.

The reviews on this product concerned me because of the sizing. I bought a small I am 5,6 and 140 pounds. I am going snowboarding tomorrow and the small was faster delivery, and they seem to fit fine. They are quite tight around my thighs, so I am hoping that they don’t rip as the stitching seems questionable. I will bring my extra pants tomorrow just in case! Over all they are warm, feel good, look good, and I have extra layers underneath. I will see how they hold up in the snow and update!UPDATE! brought them with me to the mountain. They did not rip, however they did get absolutely soaked. It was raining, and even my snowboarding jacket got pretty soaked.Over all I think they would be okay in the snow if it was just snow, or a clear day, but If I were you I would just purchase some good snow pants they are spending, but you will get more bang for your buck.

    Great purchase!

I am 4’11, 110 lbs, with pretty short legs and torso. I expected that an x-small would fit me perfectly but I ordered a size small in these pants because I wanted to be able to have room under to layer a bit. They just came and the waist come way up above my bellybutton. The hips are kinda large along with the waist. A belt seems to be holding it in place right now. I think I’m going to exchange for the extra small. Besides the fit I actually like the pants. They’re very thick and warm and the 4 pockets are great (you know us girls aren’t used to good sized pockets on jeans -__-). I really like these pants and I’m excited to use them for mid-January Catskill weather!I’ll update this review on their performance then.UPDATE: I returned the small and got an x-small instead. This was a great idea for me because the waist fits a lot snugger, they’re shorter, and the hips fir perfect. Although it’s a smaller and more perfect fit, I still had no problems layering underneath. I was able to wear thermal leggings and thin sweatpants under. In terms of quality, these are absolutely great. I was outside for several hours at a time in teens weather and snow. With my layering, I was never cold; actually, I started sweating a bit with all the moving around. The pockets are all a great size. They’re easily washable. My only slight issue was that the snaps in the front undid themselves very easily; and once they did, so did the zipper. I had to wear a belt because anytime I sat down or bent over the snaps popped right open. But it wasn’t a huge deal because I had so many layers on top that my sweaters held the pants up anyway. Overall, I’m really really happy with my purchase. This is great quality for a great price and it’s great to know I got these for $30 and change while other paid $60-$80 for the same quality with other brands. I can’t wait to have a chance to use them again and I HIGHLY recommend these for anyone looking for a warm, waterproof, comfortable pair of snow pants.

Hard to size but good quality

So in my search for new ski pants I found it hard to size them. I’m 4’11.5″ and 145 lbs, I ordered the large with a 27-in inseam and they fit great.I have not worn the pants skiing yet but I examined all the seams, zippers and pockets and they seem to be made in good quality. They feel pretty warm and I think they’ll do fine.I’ll update my review when I wear them skiing. But I wanted to give my feedback on the sizing for short & squatty people like me.

Really good quality for a great price. I love the color and I am 5’8 with long legs so the 33” inseam is a godsend. I usually wear a size 0/2 but they didn’t have an xs option but the small still fits, it’s just loose on the waist. Shipped super quick so I’m happy

    Very large

Strange fit on these pants. I ordered a size up figuring I’d give myself some extra room to layer underneath, but I was absolutely swimming in these. They wouldn’t even stay up, super super big. Weirdly though, even though they were so overly large, I could still barely raise my knees. Very tight in the leg.For reference, I’m 5’9″, 40″ waist, 50″ hips.

    Great looking, comfortable

I have not used it yet, but it does look great and the material appears to be very sturdy. I will check again after using it next month. I usually use loose clothing, so I always prefer to order at least one number larger. I ordered the XL and was way too large. I had to change to Large size and that was just about right (I wish it was something between one and other)

    Love the color!

These are so petty and fit perfectly! We’ve already bought two pairs of this brand and liked them so got two more. They were plenty warm last ski season so I have no doubt they’ll be perfect when we go again next week. I’m 5’2” #128 and got the size small 31” inseam. They are brighter in person than the pic shows. My daughter is wearing the rose pink which almost looks red but we still like them. She’s wearing the small 31” inseam and is 5’1 #120

I purchased these ski pants for my upcoming ski trip to Utah. I was a little skeptical that the quality might be less than desired. I was pleasantly surprised! The turquoise color is beautiful. The fabric is good quality with a comfortable waistband. I believe they are TTS so I would order your normal size. A great price for a pair of ski pants.

I’m a size US-22 and I got it in US-24 so I can wear leggings underneath, lo and behold, it is a little tight. I constantly have size issues when I order. Going back to shopping in an actual store. So over this.

Typically I wear a women’s 10/12 petite. I’m 5’4” for reference. Large petite (29”) is too small at the waist but perfect length. However the large regular size fit around waist normally but was too long. Had to order the XL petite.

They’re not the most attractive pants I’ve ever worn but they’re snow pants so I don’t think that’s the point. I bought a Med and they were too big. I exchanged for a Small and they’re perfect. I’m 5’5″ and about 130lbs. My waist is small but I have a booty. These will work for randomly playing in the snow twice a year. I liked the black better than the teal.

    Love these pants

I ordered these as a medium short. I am 5’4” with longer legs than torso…and I am not curvy, thicker waist to hip ratio. They fit beautifully!!! Unfortunately, the quality issue was the gaitor was sewn into the the side zipper which no doubt was accidental. So i ordered a replacement. I hope they arrive on time. Well…: SO VERY happy… got them asap and fit perfectly!!! Thank you.

    Protects against the cold

I’ve used these a few times this year when it’s been very cold/snowy out, and they have kept me warm and comfortable in the very cold and uncomfortable weather. I don’t know how they would fare for a full day of wear, but for going on walks outside or shoveling snow, they are superb.

    Beautiful! Just what I needed!

It’s really nice! And it was kinda big but there are these adjustable thingy on your hips so if they’re a little big you can adjust it and it was a bit long for me so if you’re 5’3 or a bit shorter choose the short pants option 😀 I’m going to Tahoe where it would be pretty cold so I really hope this will keep me somewhat warm! Overall I’m pretty satisfied.

Arctix Womens Cargo Snow Pants in Plumb Size Large: Love these & you can’t beat the price! I purchased them not for snow sports, but to keep me warm in winter. My legs are the weakest link! The first to go numb while the rest of me is perfectly bundled withstanding wind and snow – way before my Vizsla has had her fill of running/exercise. The color is rich, the waist has adjustable velcro cinches on either hip, sturdy snap buttons and zipper, lots of pockets placed perfectly, a silky/cushy interior with a sturdy reinforced repellant exterior. They pair perfectly with my sub-zero Columbia hooded jacket of similar deep magenta/purple tones. I did not share some of the reviewers’ opinions about the size chart’s accuracy. For reference, I’m 5’-4”, 140 lbs. and wear Ann Taylor size 6 or 8, depending on the style. The size Large fit exactly as I wanted. There’s enough room to accomodate an underlayer of fitted running/yoga pants beneath and still be able to move freely without sacrificing silhouette nor looking frumpy like the Michelin Man. It’s easy to move, kneel, bend, etc without cutting off any blood flow yet maintaining a tailored look. I am curvy; not overly voluptuous with a shapely rear. I wear 29”-30” inseam depending on the shoes (flats/sandles/loafers); longer for heels. The 31” inseam length is perfect for me. The pants have boot gaiters with grippers, so they work well with winter type footwear (the sub-zero lined hiking kind/boots). The only reason I didn’t award 5 stars is that I have not worn them long enough to judge their durability through multiple winter seasons of wear & tear and washings.

The pants are great. Sizing is the only reason for taking off a star.

I am 5’7″ and 115 pounds. 36 inches in hips and 26 in waist. These pants had to have so much elastic pulled in around the back it was not a good look and it would not seem to pull evenly. I think I ordered about 6 pairs of these pants. I had ordered these in the black and the pink in the cargo style in the small and found both to be way too big. I then ordered the XS in the black and the pink. The black fit perfect. The pink ones were way too tight. Crazy. I then thought I would order the Aritx snow pants in the straight let in the pink (it is a different shade) and order in the melon. I ordered the XS. The melon color fit perfect in the xs. The pink in the xs I could not even zip. I called the manufacturer to see what was gaining on with the sizing of these pants. They told me I should be an xs. However, these pants are cut in mass production so the sizing does get off and you might have to try a few pairs before you find the one that fits. Otherwise, the pants are incredible. They are very well made. You do not need to wear leggings underneath. I wore these in Park City in 20 degree snowing weather. They stayed dry and were really nice looking snow pants.I would highly recommend.

    Perfect fit

Tried them on and they’re a perfect fit. I’m 4’11” so finding pants that aren’t super long on me is a struggle but these were perfect in a short. Unfortunately when I went to take the tags off and give them a wash I found the inner tags with the wash instructions had been cut off. Seems like I got a pair that had been returned which is a bummer.

    Surprised!

The fit is really much better than I expected. As is the warmth factor. I bought another, in a prettier color. And, may buy one more in black. Bleh, but variety, and black makes… every look smaller. I can turn the furnace down a bit. And going out for a spell, even as freezing temps are happening, is not an issue. I really do like these. Am recommending them to gf’s, here and there. Very nice.

First bought in 2013, then bought a lot more over the years

Wow, today I received my EIGHTH pair of these fantastic yet inexpensive Arctix ski pants, even though my first pair (patched up now after nine years) just came out of the closet for the winter. We live on a homestead and heavily rely on them while doing outdoor chores for at least three hours daily when temperatures drop below freezing. These are certainly my choice for bottoms when temperatures hover around zero degrees… on those days I also wear extra-thick fleece leggings with sherpa lining underneath. So as the first few years went on with my first pair of these ski pants, it finally dawned on me that having TWO pairs each winter would allow for rotating one in the washer and one for wearing during the week. Then I loved them so much that I bought several pairs for my husband. Then… starting a couple of years ago, I started buying extra pairs that we keep in our long-term storage room for not just for both of us, but also as possible future gifts for our friends if they need them during ice storms or power outages (this has happened for four to even five weeks at a time in this remote area). These incredibly warm pants do quite well indoors too when the electricity goes out and electrical heating thus fails.Times are getting pretty hard nowadays with inflation and a bad economy in play, so when I saw my beloved Arctix ski pants on a flash-sale for $37 I literally smashed down on my “buy” button — wow, the first pair I bought in 2013 cost $56.90 and have since proven to be worth every penny, I’d do it again even at that higher price. Yes, I’ve had to patch that original pair a number of times after unexpected encounters with barbed wire fences and crazed giant livestock guardian puppies, yet I’ll still wear them this coming winter. Along with my second pair! One in use, the other in the wash during any given week during the winter. Husband uses the same system himself: two pairs for each winter. FIVE STAR PRODUCT!

    Amazing fit!!

I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 simply because of the color… maybe I didn’t pay attention to the specifics but I bought a coat for the pants to match and the pink in the picture was a little different than what I was expecting. Could be my lack of judgement but overall I LOVE the way the item fit! I got a medium (standard) I’m 5’3 and 169lbs. I was nervous because the reviews were a mix of negative and positive with sizing but I went for it anyway! The pants are cargo style and fit, but not too tight and not too loose. I’m very happy with the product appearance/fit wise. My ski trip is Thursday 2/23 so I haven’t seen how they hold up in the snow yet, but I’ll definitely give an update when when I wear them.

    WAY TOO BIG

These do not fit like an xsmall. I was swimming in them! Why is it so hard to find snow pants that fit an xsmall?

    Great petite snow pants

I am 4’10” and weight about 120 pounds. I got a size small with the 30″ inseam. These fit me perfectly! It’s difficult finding snow pants, that aren’t youth, in petite sizing. Happy I found this. I haven’t worn them in the snow yet, but I believe it will keep me warm. I was also able to pull it over a pair of joggers.

    insulation is great

Used for a snow trip and I wore them the entire time because they were so comfy (provided better warmth than anything else I packed). I went sledding and didn’t have shiver one bit.
