Great toy for the car!
Bought this for my grandson who is now 10 months old. This has worked out great as a carseat toy. When he was younger he enjoyed it, but couldn’t push the button to turn it back on when the tune ended. Now he’s just the right age to enjoy the lights and music, and can push the button to turn it on as many times as he wants. Easy to hold handle with cute colorful big beads. Very happy with this purchase!

Babies like it
Our babies loved this musical toy. It was the perfect size for their little hands. They liked listening to the musical jingle from it. Just be careful that they might hit themselves accidentally while shaking/waving this toy around.

The Perfect Baby Gift
I bought this musical toy more than three years ago for my first grandbaby. Even as a young baby, it was often the only way to quiet him. This musical toy has lights and a variety of classical music. I would hold it in front of him and move it to the left and right, and also in and out. He tracked it easily, and it held his attention. Now his baby sister also enjoys it. Since getting this for our first grandbaby, I have given it as a baby gift to three other families. They all comment how easily it engages and calms their children the first year.

Perfect toy for my son! I like the classical tunes and lights. Very easy for him to hold and push the button. The batteries did wear out pretty quick, probably because my son uses it a lot but they are easy to replace

Great toy but can’t fit off drool
This is a great toy and my baby loves it! We take it everywhere. However I have a very drooly baby and she slobbers all over the toy and I believe it got into the speaker somehow and now the toy sounds demonic. It still works and she still plays with it nonstop but the music sounds creepy now.

The animation with the music and flashing lights makes this my grandson’s favorite toy! He lays in his bouncer, kicks his chubby legs to the beat of the music and gets very verbal at 6 months old! I highly recommend it.

Right out of the package my 5 month old reached for this toy. It’s easy for her to grab and hold on too. Has a lot of different tunes/music. She smiles so big when I hand it to her and it starts lighting up. The button is easy for her to push.

Favorite toy for the longest time
Great toy!! It has lasted for such a long time, my girls still love it! It has held up after a lot of throwing and dropping. They were not very interested in using it a teether but loved playing with and holding it for example; during diaper changes, in their car seats and even while being held or in their play area. Highly recommend!!

Simple and entertaining
This toy is simple for a baby to use and very entertaining for short periods of time. After reading several reviews here, I bought one for my 5 month old grandson and put it on the changing table. He grabs it immediately after I lay him down and it keeps him happy through diaper and clothing changes.Pros: It’s easy for him to hold and the music is very pleasant. (I wouldn’t really call this typical classical music, but rather a kids version of familiar classical selections!) It has a high/low/off volume control slider button. There are multicolored flashing lights that he likes to watch. He also loves gnawing on the handle and turning the beads around.Cons: The noise and the weight makes this toy something I wouldn’t take in the car or on an airplane. It would be a hazard if thrown, and the music could be annoying to others in a confined space on longer trips. It does require batteries, another reason to limit its use to short amounts of time. A book or other “quiet” toy is what I use in the car.~Update~ April 2014This toy has become one of his favorites and gets dragged from room to room no matter what else we’re doing. He wants it while I’m changing him, after we come in from a car ride, on the floor, in the crib after naps, before/after/during meals and would surely demand it during bath time if we’d let him have it (but can’t because of the batteries!) I thought he would have grown tired of the same sounds/lights/colors by now at 8 months old, but nope… He just loves this thing! We’ve not had to change batteries yet (amazing, I know!) and it’s been dropped from high chair height onto hard floors, drooled on, thrown and tripped over, and even banged repeatedly against crib rails and walker tray with no damage whatsoever. I highly recommend this toy for the 4 months and older group. And the price point is outstanding for the entertainment value.~Update~ February 2015Well, I can’t say enough good things about this toy. Our grandson is almost 18 months old now, and still plays with it daily. He learned how to slide the switch off and on months ago and carries it fron place to place while dancing to the tunes. I guess I’ll have to get him his own iPod soon, because he seems indignant when he can’t figure out how to “shuffle” the songs on the Einstein! And the original batteries are still going strong!

A Funny and Entertaining Musical Toy for Your Little One
I recently purchased the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy for my 3-month-old baby and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! Not only is this toy visually appealing with its bright colors and adorable design, but it is also incredibly entertaining for my little one.As soon as I turned on the music, my baby’s face lit up with pure joy and excitement. The tunes are catchy and fun, and the volume is just loud enough to grab her attention without being overwhelming. Plus, the music selection is diverse enough to keep both baby and parent entertained. What’s even better is that this toy is designed to be portable and easy to take on the go. It’s the perfect size for small hands to grasp, and the attached handle makes it easy to clip onto a diaper bag or stroller. It’s been a lifesaver on car rides and trips to the grocery store – my baby is easily distracted by the music and is content for long periods of time. But the best part about this toy? It’s just downright funny. I never thought I’d find myself laughing at a musical toy for babies, but the look on my baby’s face when she’s holding it and dancing along to the music is just too hilarious. And watching her attempt to sing along with the melodies is priceless.Overall, I highly recommend the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy for any parent with a young baby. It’s entertaining, portable, and best of all – funny! This toy gets a 5 out of 5 stars from me.The Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy is a popular toy for babies aged 3 months and up. Here are some useful tips and tricks to help your baby enjoy this toy:1. Introduce the toy gradually: Start by playing the toy’s music softly and from a distance. Let your baby get used to the sound before bringing the toy closer or increasing the volume.2. Use the toy to encourage movement: Encourage your baby to reach for the toy and grasp it. You can also place the toy in front of your baby during tummy time to encourage them to lift their head and strengthen their neck muscles.3. Sing along with the music: Singing along with the toy’s music can help your baby develop their language skills and also make the playtime more interactive.4. Use the toy to distract during diaper changes: The toy’s music can be a great distraction during diaper changes, making the process less stressful for both you and your baby.5. Take the toy with you on-the-go: The toy’s compact size and easy-to-grasp handle make it a great on-the-go toy. You can attach it to your baby’s stroller or car seat for entertainment during travel.6. Use the toy for sensory play: The toy’s bright colors and different textures can be used to stimulate your baby’s senses. Encourage your baby to touch and explore the toy.7. Clean the toy regularly: To ensure the toy stays hygienic, clean it regularly with a damp cloth or baby wipe. Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging the toy in water.

Great Musical Toy!
Hello Friends, there are plenty of reviews on this toy, but mine includes that of the older version (2006) and the Newer Version which is currently being sold. They’ve tweaked the appearance a bit, but it’s still very much the same as the one I bought for my then infant son in 2006. Today, my son is 6 years old, but I have a 2 year old daughter. This toy has had some longevity. My son loved it and carried it everywhere with him. We especially liked having the toy in the car with us because the volume level of the music is just right even when set to it’s loudest, which also is good for the baby and toddler, too. A toy that is too loud can be a distraction anywhere, and not good for any babies developing hearing. Anyway, the music is a plus. It’s lovely, sweet, and enjoyable even on a grown ups ears. My daughter has been toting the same one from 2006 around in the car, and often in the house while she is playing with other toys. It’s got a lot of cheerful colors in it’s design and from what I’ve experienced, both are very inviting to a boy and a girl. I recently purchased the newer version (based on my personal experience with it) as a gift for my girlfriend’s 4 month old son along with about 5 other toys/educational products for infants. I can honestly say that when I received a thank you phone call from her, the first item she mentioned was this musical toy. She said her son lights up while playing with it, stays engaged with it for a while, and that it really entertains him. I have to smile and giggle at that because it brought back all the years of enjoyment that two of my children have had with it. I really enjoy writing reviews on items that can really use the attention because they have been exceptional in an ocean of not so great toys that are on the market today. I’m not a huge fan of flooding my children’s lives with senseless electronic and noisy play things, but I am truly amazed at how well developed this toy is. I’d say if you’re going to buy an electronic toy for your baby, start with this one because it will stand the test of time, and it will be a toy that you won’t think about taking a hammer to while your child plays with it over and over again. I really recommend this musical toy for gifting as well as for your child. It’s definitely one that has the potential to get great usage as your child grows.

My granddaughter’s favorite toy for almost a year now.
After reading dozens of reviews of so many toys, I got this for my granddaughter (who lives in Norway) when she was 8 months old. She played with it every day but still needed help sometimes with the button. When I visited again last summer she played with any more and was very adept at changing the songs and the button looked quite worn. She would take it with her everyday when I took her for a walk in her stroller. She’d change song after song and when I no longer heard anything I knew she had fallen asleep. Such an inexpensive and simple toy, but I can see why it is so loved. The choice of songs is very nice and not irritating like so many small children’s toys. The parents also appreciated that they could set it at a lower volume. Highly recommend.

Don’t leave home without it!
This musical toy is an essential must-have in the diaper bag when out with baby. It is easily manipulated and grasped by baby and entertains baby. The volume can be set to very quiet or none at all. It is small and lightweight. Your baby will love it. Makes a great baby shower gift.

amazingly long lasting appeal!
Review update : June 2013My son is almost two years old and we don’t use this as a ‘distraction’ toy any more. He loves to play the tunes and from time-to-time he carries it around the house, playing the tunes on different volume settings. It’s a great change for the grown-ups from the kiddy tunes we end up listening to most of the time, these days :-)________________________________________________________________________________I like this product overall yet there are a few things I would have liked as features.Pros: 1. nice cheerful melodies – pick of the classics. They don’t annoy the grown ups and make the baby happy.2. the two volume setting is great – I mostly use it on low volume epecially in the night and early mornings.3. The battery compartment needs to be opened with a screwdriver – hence batteries don’t fall out accidentally. Not really cons but suggested improvements :1. the toy is too heavy for my 5 1/2 month old to hold by himself and he occasionally bumps it on his forehead.. which is the concern.2. The volume gets completely muffled if the toy is placed on the bed / pillow with the lights facing up – which is what you want to keep the baby distracted but then you have to trade off on the sound.3. The rings on the handle are too big for him to be able to clasp them in his fingers, so the toy keeps slipping out from his grasp.Yet I have given it 4 stars because it is GREAT as a distraction when I am changing him – he is at the stage that he wants to keeping turning over and its really hard to keep him flat on his back without something to get his attention.

Great 1st musical experience
Chopin, Beethoven, WAY better than the “Old McDonald had a farm” that my baby toy played. This is a very, very nice first introduction to music. Your child will hear and recognize all of these songs the rest of their life. It’s also not very expensive.

My baby loves this toy!
I bought this for my son for Christmas when he was 6 months old. It was ‘okay’ but not heavily used at first. Now he is almost 8 months old and LOVES this toy. I made the mistake of letting him nap with it, and instead of napping he was playing with this toy. I removed it from his crib before his next nap and that was the first thing he looked for when I laid him down. He hasn’t quite figured out what he’s doing to make the music go, so when it stops, he’ll try shaking it. I’ll start it again for him and then he’ll hold it to him and listen and/or watch the lights until that song ends. When it does, he tries shaking it again to get it going. Sometimes he succeeds as he accidentally bumps the button. He’s teething right now so he loves rubbing it over his gums (another use for the toy). I like that the songs are longer than the songs that play on most baby toys, and I love the music enough to play for myself sometimes. I saw a negative review regarding the button changing songs each time it’s pushed. I don’t see that as a negative as I recall my other son at 8 months of age, pushing a button on another toy purposefuly to get to a song he liked at which point he would stop and rock to the music. When it ended, he would cycle through the songs again until he found that one and then rock to the music again. I don’t know if my baby will do what his brother did, but at least he has the option on this toy. The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars is that (1) it is a bit hard and heavy and when my son first got it he cried when he banged himself with it. He’s gotten used to it, but I still feel it’s a bit heavy for babies; and (2) I’m concerned about him eating the sticker on the button. He hasn’t yet, but I am surprised it’s there on a baby toy. Other than that, I really do like it and so does my baby.

Bought this after my 3 month old was fascinated by it at his physical therapy appointment. Great for helping them learn how to reach, roll over and lift their head higher. Only con is I wish their was a continuous music mode so you don’t have to push the button for them every 30 seconds to play the music and lights. But worth every penny.

Cannot put in new batteries
Baby loved this toy and played with it all the time. After a few months the batteries it came with started to wear out as expected. We CANNOT get the battery cover off. The screw has somehow stripped inside the toy. We can get the screw to turn but it will not loosen at all. We even took apart the front and back of the toy thinking we could access the batteries that way. Nope. We’ll have to buy another brand new one and hope it doesn’t have the same problem.
