Will definitely order again!
I ordered the black knee-high socks to use in a Christmas concert. The stretch is perfect; they are classy and dressy looking. They actually come up over my knee, so I rolled them down. They don’t cut off the circulation in my legs where they are folded over at the top. They seem very durable and should last a long time, but I plan to keep these on my list if I need to replace them.

Tried them out and came back for more.
I have large calves and finding trouser socks that fit my legs and don’t cut off the circulation at the knee is always challenging. These are almost the best I’ve found (JMS used to make the perfect pair but then they changed something and the tops became very constricting). These HUE socks are smooth, maybe a little too smooth in that they make my feet slide around in my shoes more than any other hose I’ve worn. The color is solid and the fit on the foot and leg are extremely comfortable – a snugness that feels supportive and keeps them from falling down but with lots of “give” so they don’t feel tight in any way. I’m average height but it seems like there’s enough extra stretchiness in the length that they’d work for taller women as well.As others have suggested, it’s probably a good idea to wash them a few times before wearing since they do bleed a good bit of dye in the beginning. Mine have been laundered now at least a dozen times and they are holding up very well. They do not seem like the type of hosiery that will snag easily or get holes or runs in them easily.

Perfect socks with pants
Hue socks have been my go to for years. They always fit well, have a good stretch and stay in place. No pulling up socks. Amazon saved me a trip to the mall, of which I’m grateful. 😊

Material Very Tight
I have very small lower legs and although the material is a nice feel these socks are very tight to the point that I have to lower them to my ankles because they feel like they are cutting my circulation off.

Perfect trouser socks
I had two old pairs and needed some new socks to wear with booties in the heat of the last days of summers. I remembered them but I forgot where I bought them from or what brand because the last time I had bought them was YEARS ago… so glad they are still available!!! These are light, good to wear with booties and can be worn over skinny jeans if they need to be tucked into boots. Love them!!

The fit
These knee socks are stretchy , comfortable and they stay up, not too thin, not too thick, just the right weight. Exactly what I wanted.

These are not socks but they are exactly what I needed
I don’t think they should be advertised as socks. The material is like thin dance wear tights – or thick knee-high hose, which is just what I need. I have to wear an insole in my shoes for a foot problem and I can no longer wear socks because of this. I was looking for something thin and snug and these are perfect. I am 5 feet 7 1/2 with a moderate size calf. They are slightly too long so I fold them over an inch below the knee.

These socks are much too short and too thin.
These socks were very disappointing compared with other Hue socks I have used in the past. They are much too short and are flimsy and not warm. The flat knit knee socks from Hue that I have liked are now listed as not available. These are definitely not a worthy substitute.

Best ever
(My husband has requested clarify that I, his wife, wrote this review, not John, lol.) I’ve tried tons of knee highs and these are the only ones I’ll ever wear again. I’ve been wearing them for a year and love them as much now as the day they arrived. I’ve reordered them and the quality is the same with subsequent purchases. I’ve now stocked up so if they suddenly disappear I am not left high and dry.Allllll the others I’ve ever bought are too thick or too thin, don’t stay up well, or are way too high over my knee or not high enough (I like them to hit right at/barely under the kneecap and STAY THERE), and these checked every one of my boxes and have held up like new despite frequent use. Definitely get these.

One out of 3 pairs was perfect…
One was just OK as far as staying up (only had to pull up a few times) and the third went straight to the trash after a whole day having to pull up the socks every 5 minutes. And no, I don’t have skinny legs. So I have one great pair for about $12. If you’re a gambling gal, go for it!

Worked for my teen
My teen went on a school trip that they needed to dress professionally. These worked great under their dress pants with their dress shoes. They are knee high length and the thickness of tights. Thank you for reading this review and I hope it was helpful!

They won’t stay up.
My calves are average sized, but there isn’t enough elasticity in the top to keep the socks from immediately sliding down. Disappointed.

Perfection! Love these!
Found a great pair of knee high “never fall down” socks a few years ago. Never had socks that stayed in place before and I can’t express how much easier my life was after finding them, especially at work where I’m on my feet all day. Unfortunately, they recently wore out and I could neither remember the brand nor where I got them. I was nervous about being disappointed with whatever I chose next, that they would be too thick, too thin, too tight, too loose, and worst of all fall down with every other footstep. Luckily, I came across these and they are perfect. They go right up to the knee so I have full coverage, they are thinner than cotton athletic socks but thicker than nylon hosiery, and they never fall down but they don’t cut off circulation or make my legs swell. They have reinforced “cuffs” at the top and reinforced toes. The toes have a seam and are more squared than rounded (so not really for open-toed dress shoes/heels), but I don’t notice any discomfort or annoyance. They are sturdy but not like “old lady” support stockings. I forget all about them once they’re on which makes them, IMO, a perfect sock. They wash up nicely in a bowl of Woolite and dry quickly. Well worth the price. I’m ordering more. I got size 2 as a woman who is 5’6″ tall and 160 lbs. Perfect fit, exactly what I wanted.

best sock ever
With a job that keeps me on my feet 8-10 hrs, I must have socks that are comfortable and durable. I got this one purely out of emergency need a few years ago, then re-purchased because I needed more. Both batches are used interchangeably because I can’t tell the difference. I forget I have them on. They still look like the day I bought them: no pilling, no wear spots, toes and heels are still strong – and the latest batch is 18 months old. Nothing special for laundering, they go in the washer and dryer with everything else.

PERFECT FIT ~ ~ FINALLY !!
It is so hard to find good quality trouser socks that fit. I have large calves (hey, I’m over 50 and things are falling down, evidently into my calves) Usually they are either so tight they start to actually hurt by the end of the day or they start to roll down your leg. There’s nothing better than chasing your socks all day long…But these are GREAT !! They are plus sized without being so long you wonder how much further up they are going to go. I try not to combine my trouser socks and my turtlenecks into a one piece.I saw a mention of the seam in the toe being an issue for some consumers but I have not had that experience. Everything in the foot fits nice and smooth. I acted on faith and bought 2 packs of 3 pair and I am glad I did. I will definitely be purchasing these again….and I would recommend them to you as well !!

Hue knee high soft opaque socks are great!
I love the Hue brand of socks, but when I get them from Amazon, they seem just a little bit shorter than when I get them directly from Hue. I wish they had them in a larger size.

Good band for plus-size calves, but a bit long for petite folks
These socks are basically knee-high opaque tights, which is exactly what I was looking for. The band is comfortable and doesn’t roll down. I wear a size 18/20 pants and they don’t bind. The only problem I have is that I wish they were just a couple of inches shorter or provided a petite option. I’m 5’1″ and I can never find socks like these that don’t sag. I get a small amount of elephant ankle, but it’s not incredibly obvious with pants. I pull the socks up as far as I can (which is over my knees), then fold them over. That tends to help with the sagging. Overall, the comfort of the non-binding band is worth tugging a bit at the socks during the day.

Lighter weight knee highs work well under skinny jeans
I ordered these, as I discovered I simply didn’t have enough knee highs for the winter. These are a thinner synthetic fabric that work well under skinny jeans with boots – not too bulky, so the jeans fit fine, as do the boots. Since I am wearing these predominantly with winter fashion boots, my feet are nice and warm (I’m also using the Felt Insoles Cozy Warm [Keep Your Feet Warm] as insoles, which I’ll also review; they’re great). i don’t know how these would be warmth-wise with non-winter boots or shoes. They’re great for warmer weather wear when you need something that looks like hosiery – and will fit well with heels or flats. For my purposes these rate a 5.Note that there is only 1 seam and no defined heel (not an issue). The seam is across the tips of the toes, so cause me no issues. Some of the bulkier socks can have problematic seams that rub; these are not a problem.

Great quality Knee High
I love the quality of these knee highs, but I ordered a size 2 and they are so long they put pressure on the high back of my knee. I think I would order the size 1 next time. I only ordered the size 2 because I have had size 1 in other brands that didn’t go high enough and would slide down. Also, I ordered 3 black and 3 navy and received 6 black instead. I didn’t send back because Black is a staple so I will use them anyway. These knee highs are very durable, nice material. Would recommend.

Great plus sized dress socks for slacks
If you order the Size 2 socks, they are perfect for women who wear a shoe size 10-11 and who have large calves (I have both). They are stretchy, soft, and not really opaque. They are far better than many of the plus sized trouser socks that are either too short (they don’t reach mid-calf, much less my knee) or they look and feel like colored nylons.I’ve ordered these several times over the years, and I have never been disappointed.

Didn’t like
I have bought this brand of socks before, and thought I was buying the same ones I had previously bought. These were not the same ones. The ones I bought before were a cotton blend, and these were more like nylon. What I really didn’t like about these socks is that they don’t have a heal. They are more like a tube sock, which I do not like. I wore them once, and after washing and drying them, I donated them to the Thrift Store.

Not socks
I had to come back to this product listing to see if I had somehow yet again purchased a pair of stockings while erroneously thinking they were socks despite being clearly labeled as stockings on their product listing.Good to see that it wasn’t my fault this time. They get one star off for misrepresenting their product. These “socks” are comfortable, yes, but they are also very thin. More like non-sheer stockings. Maybe the fact that they needed to specify that the socks are opaque should have been a warning sign. They are soft to the touch, they fit well, and they stay up where they are supposed to. However, they do not keep the bottom half of my legs warm, which is the reason I was looking for socks. I do not regret purchasing them, as I do enjoy them and wear them on a regular basis, but I will have to keep looking for actual socks.

Choosing your right size
Just a heads-up agreeing with others about the sizing… The size 2 indicates on the packaging that it will fit weights of up to 300 pounds. I weigh 140 at 5’5″ and I do not have swollen or very wide calves (I fit into regular calf width boots). The bindings on the tops of these knee-highs just fit my upper calves and do fit pretty snugly. They are a little thicker in texture than budget-priced knee highs, and I’m glad to have found them in my search for black and navy knee socks. But the size charts are simply misguiding – don’t be afraid to size up, even if your calf width is only the least bit muscular or just not very narrow.

The socks are great—the size chart is not great
These are great socks but the size chart does not match the available selections of 1 or 2. Consequently, I ordered the wrong size and it’s too much of a hassle to send them back!! Bummer!!!

Opaque, don’t snag easily, very good quality
These are a perfect fit. I ordered size 2 and they have a gentle compression to them that feels good on my legs. I machine wash them with my swimming suit and line dry them. I ordered several pairs of both black and brown. I was so happy I found them after fruitless searches in many stores.

Opaque is misleading
I like these socks a lot, but to say that they’re opaque is a definite stretch. They’re more like black pantyhose. They’re still quite comfortable and I didn’t need to pull them up at all after wearing them for an entire day.

1st day wore and already have a huge hole in the toe
I have bought these before and have not had an issue but I just ordered them again and wore a pair for 1st time today and came home and took off my shoes and seen a huge hole in the sock in the big toe – so – not sure if its a quality control issue or if the quality of the sock itself has went down but nevertheless, I am disappointed that I now only have 2 paid instead of the 3 paid I ordered.
