Matches my sink
I’m very happy this matches my stainless steel sink, unlike one I returned that was gray and not even silver. Good quality, not think and won’t bend if it is bumped by a pot.

The Magnificent Future of a Humble Sponge Caddy
I had a plastic one that I got very cheap at my local store, but it cracked. Also, I had to wash that one all the time to keep it from looking grimy. I don’t like plastic and it’s a relief to no longer have to repress negative feelings every time I stand at my sink. Anyway, when I saw this little guy, for $6.99, I just threw caution to the wind and went for it. It looks much better than the plastic one, and stays much cleaner, much longer, since it is metal and open, not closed. I am so fond of this little sponge caddy, I am ordering another one for my utility sink. I did not realize that you can choose different finishes, so this time I will go for the “brushed” metal, which should look very swag. The suction cups work just fine–it sticks to the side of my stainless steel sink like a cheap suit, and if/when it does disengage, easy enough to stick right back on. (Not sure if it sticks just as well to other sink surfaces.) It holds two medium-size sponges perfectly, allowing them to drip into the sink whilst they dry and air out. A beautiful thing to behold. It is small enough that you can still use the sink and it doesn’t get in the way. Will it change your life? Yes, it will make your life just a little bit better. Is it the best thing since sliced bread? Sliced bread is vastly overrated, so this is even better than sliced bread. Will it last forever? Probably not–in my experience, metal things that get wet all the time eventually rust, but it is showing NO signs of it so far. I expect it to have a long and productive life. And, when it goes to the metal scrapyard, it will be recycled into another useful object for another grateful human in a future world.

good suction, metal starts rusting after a few years of use
this is our second batch of these things. we have them in both the kitchen sink and the shower.the life cycle of these things –seems to last about 5 years or so. The one in the bathroom to hold the soap got SUPER rusty and gross at about year 3-4, and losing its suction around then too. we would clean them routinely. the kitchen sink one lasted a bit longer –probably about 4-5 years. overall, they’re reliable, have a low profile and do their job. would buy again.

Great way to store small sponges, dish brushes, etc., to reduce clutter around your sink!
We use four of these, actually, side-by side, to hold small sponges, Scotch Brites, dish brushes, etc. They greatly diminish the clutter around the sink and the problem of having these small items fall into the sink. We happen to have a stainless steel backsplash, so these match it and adhere very well.

Love this!
I hate kitchen sponges but this makes them almost bearable. Keeps them where they can dry and off the counter.

Falls Off
I bought a total of 4 of these spongeholders. 2 of them worked perfectly and adhered nicely to my stainless steel sink. Two of them kept falling off despite me cleaning the sink and following the instructions. wound up returning. Not worth the $$.

Glad I bought it!
Saw a review on sponge holders and never gave it any thought until then. Looked on Amazon, ordered this one and am really pleased. I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I got one.

Possible solution cup remedy (YMMV)
UPDATE: I’ve used this method on 3 different sinks and had great results on all of them!I bought this knowing full well that the suction cups were the weak point in the design. I figured that I would eventually come up with a better mounting system since the suction cups were working for only a few minutes before giving up, even without the weight of the sponge.Since I had no immediate ideas (well, none that worked) I just left it behind faucet leaning on the backsplash. Last night when I got home, I noticed that my fiancée had moved it to a very peculiar spot. It was in the corner or the sink and it was holding strong.I just moved it to the opposite corner this afternoon, so that it wouldn’t be under the drain pan, and I can’t believe how good it’s holding. It was a little tricky to get both suction cups to stick at first but I figured out a little trick. I was able to stick one side and then slide it over to where it’s flat enough to stick the other side. Then you just slide it back over to center it. Be careful that you don’t dig the holder into your sink and scratch it while sliding it back and forth.

Have had my since 2020
Worked well when I bought it. Last almost several years. When it got knocked off I would clean the suction pads and the sink surface…then stick it back on. Of late starting 2020 it kept getting knocked off like it wasn’t sticking very well. I was going to throw it away and remembered I had some ALIEN TAPE that I got at Amazon. I put some tape on the two suction cups and stock it on to the sink and it is extremely secure and drains my sponges Very Well. I wish I had thought of it when I bought it. Bare it in might if yours will not stick very long or at all. The tape will make it stay up extremely well…and is still removable.

Yes, It Sticks–For About a Year
I wanted something to hold a sponge and metal scrub pad so that they didn’t make a mess of the back of my sink, and don’t sit in a pool of dirty water. This solved the problem for me. It’s large enough to hold those two items, and yes, it does stay stuck to the side of my steel sink (at least so far, after a couple of months). It doesn’t rust, it’s solid, and I recommend it.Update:After several months of use I’m still happy with this, although I’ve found that in order to keep the suction cups working well, I have to clean them once in a while. Not a lot to ask.Second update:I’ve been using this for a year on my stainless steel sink. About once every couple of weeks it slides down. I wash the suction cups and the part of the sink where I want it to stick and it’s good for another couple of weeks. The suction cups are definitely flattening, though, and if I can find some reasonably priced replacements I’ll get them.Third update:After about a year the suction cups were flat and would no longer stick. I removed them and found two small suction cups with steel hooks at the hardware store and hung the basket on the hooks. Works fine and should be good for at least another year.

Suction disappointment
The size, design, colour and quality are great but the suction is terrible. I need to return it. Disappointed because the suction is the whole point

Well it doesn’t suck 🙂
Easy to put together. Simply clean your sink, leave it a little wet and press down on the suction cups. I’ve had no issues with suction. It fell off from one side only once and I simply re-wet it and put it back in place. Overall happy with my purchase.

Holds sponges well (horizontally and vertically). It now sits on the ledge of the sink because the suction cups did not work at all and we have a stainless steel sink.

Works great! Holding strong…
I read all the reviews and many claimed this product doesn’t stick where mounted. I simply cleaned the vertical surface where I wanted to place it, wet the suction cups as directed, and two months later, this thing hasn’t budged. I have even tried to see if it jiggles, but it’s really firmly stuck in place. I have several metal drain plugs and filters for my double sink in mine and it holds them all with no slippage. When I first installed it, I thought I wanted it placed inside my stainless steel sink. It held there fine. Later, I decided I wanted it outside the sink, stuck to the Formica backsplash that’s just above the sink. Again, it has stuck beautifully to the backsplash and hasn’t moved one bit. I really like how this organizes my kitchen sink area and I appreciate how good it looks. The design is simple and unobtrusive. It looks like it was a purposeful part of my sink area and not some cheap plastic add on. I got it in the shiny chrome finish and it is well made and not flimsy. It is attractive and wonderfully complements my chrome faucet and stainless steel sink. It’s sleek and clean looking and thus far the finish is holding up perfectly. It’s so nice to have all my sink accessories corralled and organized, and in such a high end looking way. It’s really pretty and functional. Would definitely buy again.UPDATE: I installed this exactly one year ago. The finish still looks brand shiny new with no rusting or spotting. The best part is that it has not moved from where I positioned it even by a fraction of an inch. It has never come off or slipped and it is still holding strong exactly where I placed it one year ago. Such a great product for such a low price! One of my favorite Amazon purchases!

Suction lasts!
The media could not be loaded.
At first I thought the suction wasn’t going to last, but it’s held up great even when water is splashed on it. It fits a sponge perfect!!! The suction takes like a minute to hold so you just have to work with it.

Strong suction
First I thought the suction cup is not strong enough because it was keep on coming down. But after I applied little bit of moisture to the suction, it worked like a charm! The color matches with my sink and I really love it. It looked a little smaller than I thought (2 regular sponges would fit inside, but little on the tight side)

Even with the slightest hit, the suction will release. I have to push it back on every time I put the sponge back in.

Does exactly what I need and keeps things tidy and streamlined!
If you’re anything like me, you want to try and minimize as much as possible all the clutter in and around your sink. I like that I don’t have to stare at this or my sponge when I’m not doing the dishes. The suction is strong and I’ve had 0 issue with it falling down or slipping all over the place even when I’ve given this a good spray with soap and water. Keeps my sponge from getting soggy and smelling bad which is important when you are doing dishes all day long as a SAHM. Perfect product yet so simple!

Sleek and Functional
I love my stainless steel dish sponge holder with suction cups! It’s a sleek and practical addition to my kitchen. The stainless steel design is not only durable but also easy to clean. The suction cups secure it to the sink, keeping my sponge easily accessible and reducing countertop clutter. Highly recommend for a tidy and organized kitchen.

Good size to just throw the sponge in there.
As expected which is what we all want. It’s a lot wider than the typical scrubber sponge so it catches it if I just throw it in there. Also can squeeze a 2nd sponge in there which is a plus. I’d buy it again.

Could be bigger
The suction on a porcelain sink is very good. The look is nicer than the plastic ones I’ve seen. Only that these are a bit small. I replaced one that looked just like this one but it was bigger. This really only holds one normal size sponge.

Suction Cups SUCK! – Does NOT Hold to Stainless Sink
Nice little design and perfect for what I want. However the suction cups do NOT keep this in place. I’ve tried it dry, wet, clean, with soap, with or without sponge the cups do not hold this in place. This product sucks without suckingEDIT: After many failed attempts it has finally stuck to my stainless steel sink. Just put some spit on and that seems to have done the job. Holding for close to a week now. Changed to 4 Stars

Warning: this item has changed in appearance
I bought one of these late 2021, it help up pretty well. I decided to get another one so I have for two sponges and ordered another one. Unfortunately, the original item and the one that was delivered just now are not same (see attached picture). They are similar but not identical. While this isn’t a big deal, it is annoying that it is listed as the same product since now I have two of these and they look different.

This sponge holder has great suction and most importantly drains well. My last sponge holder kept getting disgustingly dirty with soap scum because it didn’t drain well. This holder is great for my stainless steel sink.

Leans forward, but great quality!
The only thing about this is that it leans forward. Based on how the basket is attached to the suctions, it can’t sit straight up in line with the sink which is annoying for me, but everything besides that is really great. The basket is plenty big for the sponge I’m using it for, I really like it.

Suctions Well
This sponge holder is what I was looking for to eliminate having a wet sponge in my sink or on my counter. The suction is great once you get the area wet where you want it placed. The sturdiness has a lower score due to how it’s connected to the suction pads. If you hit it from the bottom or side it’ll move, but the suction stays and it hasn’t fallen once since I installed it. Overall a great product.

Worked well for 5 years then I needed to replace suction cups
We bought one of these with Satin Finish in 2017 and it has worked well in our stainless steel kitchen sink to hold sponges. After 5 years, the suction cups have begun to slip. There is also a little bit of rust on the bottom, although that is not a big issue at this time. One of the other reviewers shared that replacement suction cups were available at our local Ace Hardware. We visited Ace and purchased suction cup key hooks from their Key department for less than $2 each.Once home, it took me less than 10 minutes to snip off the old suction cups, remove the wire hooks from the new ones, and snap the new ones into place. The new suction cups fit nicely in the holder and seems to hold securely in the sink.Hopefully, the new suction cups will last for another 5 years and the rust won’t get significantly worse.

Smaller than measurements in photos
I’ve been searching for a basket to fit my dish brush and this one says it’s 2.5 inches wide, which would’ve been wide enough, but it’s only 2 inches wide. The suction cups are also poor quality and keep sliding down

Listen to the reviews on this one
I didn’t. I thought all the reviews saying the suction cups don’t hold were wrong. But I was wrong and they were right. The suction cups do not hold. Believe what you read.I also tried the tips of using vaseline and that worked for me. If it sticks for a few days at a time I’m OK with it, but still think we shouldn’t have to use a hack to get it to work.I’m raising my level of stars to 3. It been over a week and it hasn’t fallen off or moved. Due to the vaseline hack it is now working as expected.I’m raising my rating to 4. This sticks perfectly with a little vaseline. Not only does it not fall off on its own, now I actually have to pull it off. Use the hack and its fine.

I bought this 2/27/22, so it’s been over a year since I bought this. And only now am I having to replace the suction cups. Not bad for the price and I love having a place to put the sink stopper other than the counter top. I’ll always have something like this now that I’ve used it for this long.
