This are very sturdy and good quantity. I’m not a fan of the square like handles not comfortable. They would be great with round handles.

Needs food grade oil after rinsing
They are very sturdy. Smooth finish, but they do need an application of food grade mineral oil before using. They are very dry after the first rinse.

Package says hand wash only.
These are made from beechwood. They shouldn’t need to be hand washed only. Beechwood is used for wine press racks. However, they are well made and well-proportioned for good kitchen use. There are just some things wooden spoons need to be used for even in a modern kitchen. They could have been finished (sanded) a little better. If oiled properly (food safe) they might be risked in the dishwasher, but this is not a recommendation to do so. Recommended with reservations.

The finish on these are a bit rough
Good sturdy spoons. Comfortable grip but wood finish a bit rough that would cause food to stick to finish. Before use I used fine sandpaper to smooth out the wood then rubbed a food grade mineral oil into the wood. Perfect spoons now. They might even outlive me!

Excellent quality
These OXO wooden spoons are of great quality. Sometimes with wooden spoons you receive products which have a rough finish or with splits/cracks in the wood. Not these! They are perfect in terms of the finish and quality of the wood itself. This 3 pack is a good value with sizes to match all basic needs. They clean easily with dish soap and water.

I bought two sets of these and sent one back …
I bought two sets of these and sent one back due to the fact that the coloring on the spoons is very different. This might not be a big deal for some people but wanted to show you in case it does matter to you. The dimensions of the spoons, the largest is roughly 12.5 inches long and 2 3/4 inches wide at the widest point of the spoon. Second is 10 3/4 inches long and 2 inches wide at the widest point of the spoon. Last, the smallest spoon is a little over 8 inches long or 8 3/16ths to be exact, and 2 3/16ths wide at the widest point. They are well made in that they are thick and hand washing them should last a long time. If they do not I will update this post. I will not be putting them in the dish washer.

Wooden spoons
I thought all three were about the same size but there is only one that is a good size and that one has a gouge in the back of the spoon . I hope it holds up . One is really small and useless . The middle one is a little small too !

The tuners can changed shape if sit in the water over night
I gave the tuners 4 stars because 1 of the stars is for they work really well on tuning food in the wok. I wish they made of better wood/material. I soaked my tuner overnight water, and the flat part got blended. After I dried it, then it got a little better. So I know I can’t leave it in water over night, and have to wash them right away and air dry them.

Chose to sand them to get smooth. Highly recommend a light sanding.
These are great spoons and I really love them except… they weren’t super smooth to the touch. I also like to be able to put mine in the dishwasher and of course they come out feeling very rough and splintery all over…which is sort of common… so, I took a very fine grit sandpaper and sanded lightly until smooth. I then coated them in a light layer of vegetable oil and set them in the sun. They are now much smoother than when I initially got them, and they come out of the dishwasher the same way.. very smooth and perfect now. I highly recommend a light sanding. They just feel a million times better when they are smooth.

Not up to OXO quality
So I ordered this set and a stand alone OXO wooden spoon also made of beech (https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Grips-Large-Wooden-Spoon/dp/B0000CCY1R ) When it arrived, the three piece set was very rough with no oiling done to it, despite the listing saying it had a natural oil finish. This was a sharp contrast to the stand alone OXO wooden spoon which was smooth and oiled. When dealing with Amazon, it always makes me question if I have somehow gotten a counterfeit item, as I have heard many stories of this happening. Anyway, I hunkered down with sandpaper and did my best to smooth out the wood to a similar quality of the spoon. I am still in the lengthy process of applying mineral oil. It’s taken me at least 7 applications so far. Anyway, just wanted to alert folks that the design on these are lovely but seems to require a good amount of effort to make it usable. It may be better to try to buy these items individually and hope they arrive in the correct sanded and oiled condition.

Holding up well and not getting frayed/splintered after multiple years. Sturdy, clean up pretty easily and well. For a wooden spoon, these are a pretty good, top notch product.

Nice wooden spoons, need sanding and mineral oil
These spoons are a pretty nice. They are an interesting shape–a little more ‘scoop’ than a typical flat wooden spoon, and a larger more comfortable handle.I like them and think they will do the job fine.I saw the reviews indicating the spoons were rough. When I first received them, they didn’t seem very rough, but after an initial washing, the surface of the wood did open up a bit and they did become noticeably rough, so I sanded and oiled them. It is very easy to sand them and only takes about 15 minutes, but I would have gladly paid more money for them to be properly sanded, and even oiled.I started with 150 grit sandpaper, which smoothed out the rough spots, then followed up with 220 grit, which gave them a soft smooth surface. Because the wood feels relatively soft, I didn’t bother using sandpaper finer than 220 grit. There was a huge difference after sanding, so I highly recommend it if you have some 150 and/or 220 sandpaper handy. After I sanded them and washed them off, I let them dry completely. I then coated them with food grade mineral oil–I still have a bottle of “Tree Spirit Mineral Oil” that I used on my wood cutting board. There appear to be a few types on Amazon, listed as “cutting board oil”. I’m applying several coats of oil to the spoons over several days before I use them again. The instructions on my mineral oil bottle say to apply a coat once a day for a week, then once a week for a month, and then once a month after that. It also says after washing the wood, dry promptly and thoroughly. And never wash the wood in the dishwasher.

Sturdy and easy to grip
I have arthritic hands, so one of my favorite things about these spoons are the large-diameter handles. My old wooden spoons have narrow handles that are painful to grip for any length of time. Also, the heads of the spoons are sturdy and very effective for stirring things like soup or stew while they simmer. I rated them 4 instead of 5 only because the wood is extremely dry. I had to give them three applications of Clarks cutting board oil before the dry feeling dissipated.

Solid, well made spoon.
Has an almost “unfinished” feel in the hand. Oddly dry and slightly off putting. Bulky but easy to jold on too. Because it is bulky it doesn’t get around the bottom of the pan easily. However, overall sturdy product I am happy to have.

Larger size
Just what I needed. Thicker handle and a longer handle without being too long. The only down side is that they need to be oiled all the time. I’m hoping they will start to soak up some of the oil and be a bit smoother in the hand. That being said, they are still the perfect size for me.

The first wooden spoons I have ever liked.
As usual, OXO never disappoints. I have never been a big fan of wooden spoons. It always seemed to me that they were more work than other utensils, yet they provided less utility. First of all, when I think of a spoon, I think of something that is concave and can hold something of substance. Most wooden spoons seem to be made very flat, more like sticks with oval paddles on the end. I never understood why people used them to stir spaghetti sauce, because they just stain, and also, really cannot be considered a “spoon” because they are so flat. Additionally, they all have to be hand washed so that the spoons don’t crack. This is just my opinion. When we got a new set of pots and pans, we decided that we did not want to scrape the bottoms of the pans with stainless steel, so we decided to get these wooden spoons from OXO. They are amazing! Truly these are the first wooden spoons I have ever liked. They are very well made. The wood is very thick, they are deep, and can hold quite a bit of sauce, food, etc. I also like that they come in three different sizes. We do still hand wash these because we really like them and do not want them to get ruined. From someone who has never liked wooden spoons, I highly recommend this set. They make a great addition to our collection of kitchen utensils.

Love them, but why can’t I buy each one individually?
I love OXO’s wooden spoons; they’re much more comfortable in my hand than any other kind I’ve ever used. But the big spoon in this set is too big for me, and I don’t need to replace the little spoon as often as I do the medium one—yet in order to get only the medium one, I have to buy all three. This is very annoying. I’m hoping someone from OXO will read this review and do the sensible thing: offer each spoon for sale by itself. If you want to offer a deal for all three as a set, fine, but please don’t force me to buy all three when all I want is the medium spoon. Thank you.

Terrific Quality!
Another wonderful product from OXO! I was sick of the cheap pine wooden spoons I had been using because they were warped and rough. I have lots of OXO products from over the years and they have always been good, so I looked to see what they had in the way of wooden spoons. I ordered this set as a test and I love them! Going to order more types now that I see how nice they are. Honestly, these would make a wonderful gift!

Switched over to wooden spoons in hopes of avoiding scratches in my pans. Mission accomplished! These spoons are sturdy yet don’t seem to scratch my pans. Easy to hand wash. They also give a decorative look to the kitchen.

Can’t oil these enough
These came kinda rough and dry. I didn’t want to bother sanding them, like another review did. But I did oil them with food grade mineral oil. Lubed ‘em up, let ‘em sit, and wiped off the excess. Then the spoons look good. However, as soon as I wash them (by hand, not in the dishwasher), they come out all dried up. I have to oil these spoons every blessed time I use them. I even put several coats on before using them. I let the oil absorb for hours and hours. It’s never enough. As soon as I wash them, they’re dry. I even tried oiling them while they were wet to seal in the moisture. Doesn’t matter. So, they work as spoons, so they get 3 stars for that, but they’re dried out every time I wash them, so that’s a bummer.

Great wooden utensils
I love these wooden spoons. They work great with my nonstick cookware. I also have nylon and silicone-coated utensils, but I end up reaching for these wooden utensils most frequently. I love the shape of them; they just seem to have the right curves in the right places. I try to wash them right after I use them and I don’t put them in the dishwasher. However, a few times I accidentally soaked them in the sink longer than I intended. They still cleaned and dried up nicely and continue to work just fine. They haven’t split or fallen apart. I will buy this brand of wooden utensils again.

Beautiful & very functional wooden spoons!
These are beautiful & functional spoons for the price. The wood is smooth with no defects. They are a nice weight, but not too heavy. The spoons have enough of a scooped out center that you can actually use these to dip out food rather than just stir with them. They should hold up very well with proper care. The manufacturer had no care instructions except “hand wash”. Remember, they are made of wood & you will need to take proper care of wooden utensils if you expect them to last Wood does not tolerate a lot of sustained exposure to water or liquids. Don’t leave them sitting in the cooking pot during cooking. Wash them in warm water by hand only & dry immediately. Rub them with some mineral oil or other type of oil periodically to keep the wood from drying out & cracking. You can’t treat a wooden spoon the same as a metal spoon & expect it to last indefinitely. With the proper care, these spoons should last for years. I have had spoons of lesser quality last for several years with proper care.

Not OXO’s issue – but I would have preferred a much ‘thinner’ flipping surface – these turners are really thick (can’t use them really to turn food – really only to stir…)Also – I didn’t read the full description (I was really looking for an alternate to my favorite Pampered Chef slotted spoons that I can’t find any longer…) but these are not recommended to go into the dishwasher…

Prolong the life of wooden utensils with Mineral Oil.
I was looking for wooden spoons to replace the ones I’ve used for many, many years. I’m glad I purchased this three piece set and happy they are three sizes. They are comfortable to hold, seem sturdy and I’ve enjoyed using them in my cast iron, enameled cast iron Dutch Oven and non stick copper cookware. However, before I used them, I washed them and let them dry overnight. The next day I applied about three coats of Mineral Oil to them, to prevent future drying out and or cracks/splitting which are issues a couple reviewers mentioned. Wooden cutting boards and wooden utensils should be treated to extend their lifespan. I plan to apply the Mineral Oil about once a month, because I use them frequently, and hope to enjoy them for many years to come. Very pleased with this set!

Large spoon cracked after first use, OXO replaced it for free
The spoons are a good size, a little rough at first handling. I suspect they will smooth with time and seasoning. As shown in the picture, the largest spoon cracked after the first use. I called the OXO warranty line and they were friendly and agreed to send a replacement that same day. I’m hopeful that the large replacement spoon will not crack too!

BEST WOODEN SPOONS
I am loving these wooden spoons. They are heavy duty and being so much thicker than other wooden spoons I have owned, makes them easier to handle. I do hand wash them and dry immediately. I am glad I chose these instead of the same kind I have had in the past. I fully expect they will last through several generations of kitchen use.

Won’t Melt
Wooden utensils are the best. These are more substantial than some, with a decent size grip. The size of the handles aren’t as bulky as the big handled tools nylon/plastic tools I’m replacing. These easily fit in my utensil container (a large stainless container I bought on Amazon, link below) — right along side the other 20+ most used items (whisks, spatulas, ricer, etc.).These are hand wash, but I put them in the dishwasher anyway — using the shorter express or quick wash, but I DO NOT use the heat dry setting, or a longer wash for these. I have washed all my wooden utensils that way for years.Oggi Jumbo Stainless Steel Utensil Holder, 7″:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J30T252/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
