Great replacement for our worn out old trusty but rusty spatula.
Very nice all around. Fits comfortably in the hand. Sturdy construction but not so much that I don’t understand some reviewers comments that it’s too heavy. I mean I’m a man, but no Titan. You would need to be at an age (too young or too old) when you shouldn’t be cooking unsupervised if you can’t heft this utensil. Also, I don’t understand comments that it’s too thick. It should be able to get under the most delicate film in a pan to flip.

OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Spoon
OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Spoon is large enough to mix up cookies and other goodies in a bowl by hand. No sore hands from spoons with no easy grip handle. I have an ancient spoon that I have used forever with a grip handle. This spoon is even better. Sturdier. If you are just setting up your stuff for the future. What ever that holds. This is an item you may want to think about.

Not Cheap, but …
This Turner replaces a Silicone & Aluminium one that broke in battle (i.e., the Aluminium handle started to crack at the joint). This Stainless Steel Turner is one piece (i.e., no joint) and should outlast its predecessor. There are definite benefits to the steel blade over a silicone one, especially if you’re not using Teflon coated pans. Like all polished surfaces, take care not to abrade them and they will perform as new forever.

Great for Older Hands
For her 72nd birthday, my friend hinted that she needed a new ladle. When I gave her this one, she smiled broadly and said it was perfect! The black plastic grip makes it easier to hold and keeps the handle cool even when stirring a hot soup. She was delighted which, of course, means I was delighted.

I wanted a thinner edge
After my old thin spatula bit the dust I wanted another that would go under sticking food easily. I had two other spatulas with thick edges that just didn’t work well. This one didn’t have a thin edge either so I took out the sharpening stone and honed an edge onto it the would go under food without otherwise disturbing it. Now it does. The grip is like most OXO products so that works well.

A flippin good flipper
No matter what OXO product we’ve purchased (so far), we haven’t been disappointed. This “turner” we call them flippers, is in the thumbs-up category as well. It’s light, has good balance and the flipper end has just the right angle. A big plus is how well the handle is sealed to the metal tang, it won’t be harboring any water or bacteria! One minor thing I did notice is that the very front edge was a bit sharp (sorry OXO you lost a star for that), so I smoothed off the burr with an emery board and then it was ready for French toast duty!

Upgrade from plastic flippers
it’s just a teensy flimsy if you put crazy weight on it and I was trying to pan sear a burger down onto a cast iron pan and i noticed the steel part was starting to bend/warp as well so I just bent it back to place and wasn’t trying down as hard anymore but i guess I expected perfection in sturdiness where even that amount of weight down on a burger shouldn’t bend/warp the steel part that easily?

Heavy duty
We had one of those cheap plastic ladles that come from Walmart. Problem is that they bounce around and spill the contents. I wanted something metal and strong. This is it. I think you could use this ladle to defend yourself against abs attack. It is heavy duty.

I recently purchased the OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Spoon and I’m mostly satisfied with my purchase. The spoon is made of high-quality stainless steel and feels very durable and sturdy in my hand. It’s also a good size – not too big or too small – and the handle has a comfortable grip that makes it easy to hold and use.One of the things I love most about the OXO Good Grips Spoon is its versatility. It’s a great all-purpose spoon that I can use for a wide range of tasks, from stirring and scooping to serving and tasting. It’s also dishwasher safe, which makes it very convenient to use and clean.However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks to the spoon. The first is that the handle is a little shorter than I would prefer – I have relatively large hands, and I find that I have to hold the spoon a little closer to the bowl than I’d like when I’m stirring or scooping. The second is that the spoon doesn’t have a flat edge, which makes it a little less effective at scraping the sides and bottom of pots and pans.Overall, I’m mostly satisfied with the OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Spoon. It’s a high-quality and versatile spoon that’s great for a wide range of tasks, and the comfortable handle makes it easy to use. While it’s not perfect, it’s a good value for the price and I would recommend it to others.

Stiff & well made
I like to cook bean burgers in my stainless fry pan. Unless I cook with lots of oil they inevitably stick. This spatula can smoothly scrape under the burger when flipping preserving the crispy outer crust.

Can’t imagine a sturdier ladle
Based on my unscientific testing of serving soup, leaving it unattended in my kitchen sink in a crazy busy household, and slinging it into and out of the dishwasher, I can say that this ladle is truly indestructible.The rubber handle is soft to the touch but also easy to grip. The metal portion is thick enough to knock a thief out if anyone tried to break in to steal my precious soup.OXO does it again with another wonder kid.

Oxo is quality
I usually find the Oxo brand delivers quality at an affordable price, this basting spoon has a nice large spoon area, and an adequately stiff ‘shaft’ the handle is sized right to hold securely and like most Oxo handles is made out of a rubberized or silicone material that has a good tactile feel.

Great sturdy tool
I’ve had this for a year and a half. I would give it 6 stars out of 5. Much better than the plastic junk you find in stores. The grip is comfortable and there is almost no bending even when you apply force. Helps to keep things from sticking to the pan.

Actually sturdy
OXO delivers again. Purchased to replace a spoon we got at a local store to get by at the time.The other spoon bent every time we tried to stir a pot of 6 quarts of anything.The new OXO spoon doesn’t even flex. Can tell we could stir a very large pot without any fear of the spoon bending.Don’t buy a super cheap spoon. Buy an OXO one and never look back.

Great Ladle
I like this one better than the older version OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Ladle. And I love how easy it is to scoop beans and soups into bowls with no spills. I was using the regular Spoons for that, and I always got liquid all over my counter, side of the bowls, and kitchen towels.

I haven’t used it yet but upon unpackaging it, it is what you would expect from OXO. Great quality. Feels good in my hand. I bought it because all I had was plastic and silicone turners and you can’t scrape brown bits from a cast iron pan with them. If I am not happy with the way it scrapes bits from the pan, I will re-eval, but going from the quality it appears to be, it will be great to use.
