Great toy, nephew loves it
My nephew (3yo) played with this for hours after we got it out of the box for him. He loves the tools and screws. I imagine this will give him endless entertainment for the next year or two.

Great toy for little girls!
I got this for my goddaughter who spends time ‘helping’ her dad fix things. She played with it for hours on day one and continues to try to fix things two weeks later. Great to instill the idea that she can fix things this early instead of waiting for others.

Good, needs more screws and nails
This is a good little tool box. It has a lot of parts. The drill is my baby’s favorite. It only comes with two nails and two screws — both of which are pretty small (possible choking hazard?)– and pretty easily lost. Otherwise, fun to play with.

The Drill is awesome!
I thought this would be a great toy for my newly 2yo daughter who loves to “help” play with tools and Daddy fix things, and I was right! She gravitated straight to use the drill to spin the gears, and was so proud to “do it myself!” Daddy was very enthusiastic that the drill was able to reverse and not only screw in, but unscrew as well with a flip of a little button — just like a REAL one! Mommy was thrilled that the drill doesn’t require batteries. This toy has some really cool features, including the two double-sided cards that fit over the holes and are interactive, helping to teach colors and numbers as your little one hammers/screws. There are buttons on the front that play songs, make noises and light up different colors. Admittedly, there are more realistic toy hammers and wrenches on the market, but the ones in this set are simple and functional with the screws/nails included. When my 2yo allows it (she’s still learning to share,) my 5yo son enjoys this toy as well. Since he aspires to be a “Fixer” when he grows up, he has more realistic tool and building toys, but he still plays with this when he gets the opportunity! He really likes the cool reversing function and the ROAR of the drill, and seeing what the interactive cards do. He’s been using the drill to “fix” various things around the house. My 11yo daughter isn’t much of a handy-person, but she liked listening to the songs and figuring out the different features, too.My only gripe is that the drill can’t fit into the toolbox, or there isn’t a clamp to attach it to the side for easier storage/organization.I think this toy could appeal to a wide age-range of kids, and would make a fantastic gift. After two weeks, it is still played with daily here!

Loves it.
Our great-nephew was immediately mesmerized with his Drill & Learn Toolbox. He began playing with it right away.I do wonder though, after reading so many reviews, why VTech doesn’t offer additional play Screws and Nails for purchase? They have been inquired about many times, over many years. The actual VTech website is a joke. Every single screen page requires you to accept cookies, over and over again. I gave up.But this toy is a winner. I’ll probably order another for our great-grandson.

Awesome toy toolbox
I love that it talks and teaches my toddler…it kind hard for my 2 year old to unlatch and the drill seems to be stripped no matter if its in the forward and backward position it jumps out really frustrating….also really wish it came with more toy screws and nails..and I know it has a drill but I think it should have had a toy screwdriver in it as well…But it make my toddler happy that’s all that matters!

this was a hit for 3 year old nephew
This was for my nephew who just turned 3 yesterday and he loved it immediately. he is so cute and super smart – the first thing he said was “i’m going to help daddy fix the car with my red drill and my toolbox”. i’m not even kidding he talks just like that and no one told him what the parts are called, i guess he’s used to seeing my brother work around the house. so this was a hit, needless to say. i noticed that the drill didn’t fit in the toolbox but my nephew wanted to carry it in his hand anyway and everything else fit. i would have liked to see more nails and screws, maybe different ones along with a screwdriver and maybe another interactive play card but i guess im asking for too much for the price, lol. as for the hinge and the fact that you have to play around with it in order to get it all to fit, well that is part of the learning process, kids are smart and they can figure it out if you show them a few times. if you don’t give them a challenge they will get bored in no time. this toy is fun and educational for kids, buy it!

V-tech drill and tool box
When I purchased it I only wanted the drill, but soon found out that it could only be used for this toy as its made thicker at the bit for this toy only, but he loves it. He played with it all day, and the very next time he came, he started playing with it, but not all day again lol. He’s soon to be 4 yrs. in May. He seem to be very captivated with it, and that’s what’s important.Sally

Small
It’s small (bought for 5-year old) and there aren’t many pieces for play. The hammer doesn’t get played with because the “nails” just fall in and out of the holes. I wish there were more screws. It’s not a bad value- just not a great item.

Favorite toy
I’ve never seen a little kid get more excited about a toy. My two-year-old grandson followed his dad around for a whole week (and is still trying to be a handyman, just like dad), “helping” with his own little tools. Banging on everything with the little hammer, but man, is it cute! One of my best toy purchases ever.

Not Worth It!
The toy only comes with 2 screws and yet there are 9 possible slots for more. And the drill stops working when trying to use it to drill the screw into the hole. You have to really press hard to get it to work. Needless to say my 18 mo. grandson cannot do it. Also, the talking and music goes on for waaaaay too long!!The packaging is terrible! I had a heck of time getting the toy pieces out of the box as they were zip tied so tightly I could hardly get the scissors in between to cut them off. Ended up ripping the box almost all the way apart trying to get all the pieces freed up. Sending back (I do feel bad I have to send back with ripped up box!)

My granddaughter is 30 months old and loves playing with this toy. The size of the accessories are easily manipulated by a 2 year old. My only complaint is that the batteries included in the price of the toy did not work.

It’s a gift, so played with it in demo mode
This is still sitting in the box in my closet, because it’s a Christmas gift that my daughter bought for my grandson. Having played with it in the box, it seems like something my grandson will absolutely love! Definitely educational, and just fun for any kid who likes to play with pretty much anything and pretend it’s a tool. I like that the drill actually turns when you squeeze the trigger. After Christmas, my grandson will be trying to fix everything around the house, even if it isn’t broken.

My Grandson Loves It
Great gift for my toddler grandson. He has a ball with all the gadgets and accessories! It seems to be built out of tough plastic and seems durable to stand up to his play style. He has dropped it several times, and so far – so good! He likes the hammer and wrench almost as much as the drill!

Confidence Builder
This tool box comes with a Reversible Drill (yep, that’s right, Reversible!)and it comes with “templates” that enable the user to pretend they are working on a special project. My not yet two year old grandson knew exactly what to do with the drill and held it high above his head after each use to proclaim his mastery (or just the fact that he wanted everyone to know what he had, lol). I expect he and his Dada will keep busy working on projects together for years to come with this tool box. (Spare room in the bottom of the tool box for additional tools or other props).
